order out of chaos - Euron - November 10, 2017 For any packmates! @Vaati or @Ganondorf maybe?
He was staring at her again. It had happened several times since the first time. He would wake up as night was giving way to the dawn and find his mind invaded by the memory of how meat, brought up from the gut of his packmates, smelled and tasted. His mouth would fill so full with saliva the slaver would hang from the corners of his black lips. Hunger would burn in his core as a chill tiptoed along his spine. The pup crept forward. @Potema slept or perhaps was in another narcotic stupor. His paws made not a sound. He reached her flank and his eyes fell along the dense flesh at the back of her leg. His movements had been so liquid and deliberate until then. His eyes narrowed and his muzzle buckled as his small fangs came to bare. Jaws wide open, he sprang forward and— Euron awoke. His mouth parted and his mother's teat sprang free of his grasp. The pup lifted his head and glanced around, blinking stupidly. He felt something tickle the front of his lip. His tongue slid out to soothe the itch, only to become the source of his bother. Making faces, Euron smacked his tongue against his teeth and mouth until a few white guard hairs dislodged and fell to the ground in a wet clump. The pup glanced at the fur but made nothing of it. Confusion had settled in his eyes and he whimpered quietly. Unable to shake the feeling of displacement, which to him was an indescribable discomfort, he buried his nose between his siblings and tried to sleep. But he found no contentment even there, and so got his paws with a sigh and made his way out of the den. There he sat in the glen in the warmth of the first sun, perplexion still evident on his face. RE: order out of chaos - Damien - November 19, 2017 Each day Damien's restlesness and desire to venture further out of the cave grew stronger and more eager. While there was a feeling of safety and peace within his chamber, Damien now had an excuse to leave his comfort zone and breathe some fresh air. The pups had started walking, he had seen it happen in one of his covert expeditions, and the risk of them putting themselves in danger had taken away his sleep. He had one purpose with them, and it was to keep them safe from harm as it was the gods' will. When I say it took away his sleep I mean it seriously. Even in his watch over the pups from the shadows at the back of the cave the dark prince could feel his heavy eyelids drag down over his eyeballs despite how much he tried to resist. But as soon his whiskers felt the slightest shift of pressure in the air he jolted awake to find the smallest renegade making his way away from Potema. He silently followed, taking his time to carefully place the next paw in front of him as to not make the slightest sound. He never lost sight of the pup and should he run Damien would be prepared to frustrate his escapade. But he didn't. The small creature simply lay down at the mouth of the cave admiring the rising sun, which shone on the pup with enough clarity for Damien to finally realize how familiar his coat's pattern seemed. RE: order out of chaos - Euron - November 19, 2017 His confusion over what had taken place - a dream? - was lost as soon as he took note of Damien behind him (by a chance glimpse from his periphery). Euron spun around with a deftness that was beyond his age, and he briefly fixed the shadowy wolf with narrowed eyes. But his tail was waving to suggest there was nothing serious about his glare — and there was not. Damien was a good thing. He was a bringer of meats and he was warmth and he was [good] attention. Nonetheless, Euron was a budding sneak who wanted to do the sneaking and not be the one getting caught by someone else's sneaking. Eyes on the dark wolf, he slowly backed away with an impish crook in his mouth. "Sssstt," he sort of said, raising a paw to indicate what he could only half say. Stay. Then he turned and bounded away a few wolf lengths, before glancing back to check if Damien was indeed staying where he was. |
