bitter and biting - Ceallach - November 16, 2017 Ceallach had crossed the soundbar and had taken to the shores, exploring the coast on the other side while his family seemed settled. Ceallach had never faced winter, feeling off put and a little uneasy by the whole thing. It was cold. He honestly worried about the whole isle and what they would all end up doing but so far he didn't think that Reed and Droman would survive if they were taken across the sea. It was midday and the warmth of the sun soothed him a bit. He kicked rocks around, just idly taking in the scents of the area. RE: bitter and biting - Mouse - November 16, 2017 *steals this*
Although it had not been easy to leave the Vale and everything that it represented behind and their journey had left the two lovers exhausted, Remi could not deny that now that the growing sound of the waves crashing against the shore reached them everything was worth it. After giving @Chusi quick goodmorning with an affectionate nudge to her shoulder he left their improvised campsite leaving however an open invitation for her to join him at the beach to see what they could scavenge. He arrived quickly, his feet lightly treading over the wet sand as he, with his nose close to the ground, began his treasure hunt. He hoped for a couple of crabs but would not mind having to wade in the water to try his luck at fishing. As he continued to sniff and dig here and there the wind brought him a scent that inmediately caused him to drop what he was doing. He flared his nostrils taking in the scent of the other wolf before deciding to track him down. After a couple of minutes he had him in sight, he was a young boy, and he was alone as far as Remi could tell. He watched him silenty for a couple of seconds before making his presence known with a chuff directed at him. Though he kept his ears pricked and his tail straightened out behind him he approached slowly, not wanting to scare the boy - a smile on his lips wanting to let him know he posed no threat. RE: bitter and biting - Ceallach - November 17, 2017 Ceallach had to stay and focus his efforts in the pack and it's well being. That didn't mean that he wasn't terrified by it, he still was in a sense, he'd never endured winter and there were little kids to think of too. He liked to think that his father and Hemlock had considered everything but....well. It was so easy to go south. It was so easy for everything to fall apart. Ceallach paused to sniff at a patch of seaweed and wondered if Eirlys was bored as he was or not. Her relative silence had gotten so common to him he'd grown so used to just interpreting her emotions and actions based on looks alone. It was safe and comfortable between them, even if sometimes he felt a little dependant on his sister. His nose wrinkled, unhappily about the particular smell about of it and the bitter harsh scent of the ocean on it. He missed the forests and the sweep and the river itself. It wasn't that Ceallach was necessarily unhappy but at the same time - when was the last time something went right for them? Droman and Reed were about the only bright spots and he still didn't spend much time along with them because of his fear of hurting them. He still had those near blackout rage moments. He couldn't risk the little kids getting hurt because he couldn't handle himself. A sound caught his attention and he turned quickly towards the source to find another wolf approach. Ceallach bristled a bit, just feeling himself grow particularly protective of the secrecy in which they'd fled. "Hello," He said as evenly as he could - he couldn't smell the other yet and he had no real reason to make a fuss at that point. |
