i had drunk all of my abyss - Wardruna - December 03, 2017 As he has done numerous times before Wardruna slips out of Easthollow’s territory wondering which time will be the last time. At first he needed them but as his hunting skills improve slowly and with those rallied to join the kvennabúr they were building ( whether it was to become official or simply remain a vagabond group of them ) his dependency upon Easthollow has begun to wane. He no longer needs them and keeping up pretenses that he got a feeling that with their continued hovering and pestering they saw through anyway was exhaustive and unnecessary and with Noma’s strength returning he grows more anxious for the day he will leave Easthollow behind. The question still remains whether parting from Easthollow will find him parting from Noma as well. For now, the northerner keeps up appearances and trudges dutifully back to Easthollow after every adventure out. As he veers into Fox’s Glade he catches whiffs of familiar scents: Sif because her’s has become as familiar to as Noma’s or his own scent, and Hella’s. This brings with it slight surprise: it has been a month, if not more, since he has seen Hella and he has thus been left to assume that she had left the Wilds. He did not expect her to return or, if she had remained to find her way to Sif. He locks upon @Hella’s scent trail now, determined to find the pale woman whom resembled his goddess of death; though whether it is to demand an explanation for her absence or to simply assure himself that it's real and not his nose playing tricks upon him Wardruna is not yet sure. RE: i had drunk all of my abyss - Hella - December 08, 2017 it had been some time, and Hella had been admittedly straying further and further from easthollow's borders. she had not seen wardruna since he had left her there, and had taken very little effort to look for him in the meantime. in truth, she hadn't really known what he had wanted from her in the first place, so was it that much of a transgression to wander? it was @Sif who had rooted hella back to wardruna's borders, her new female friend who had physically and metaphorically licked her wounds. yet she had still not seen him. when his scent wafted between the trees, she made her way towards him, greeting him with a delighted chuff with her tail wagging softly against her hocks, his bad mood unbeknownst to little Hella.
RE: i had drunk all of my abyss - Wardruna - December 12, 2017 Wardruna sees her soon enough: his functioning eye zeroing in on her figure as it emerges from the sparse conifers that tower above like evergreen spires. At first, the northerner is not entirely convinced that she is real despite that her scent grows stronger and is laced undeniably with Sif. Hella appears corporeal enough as she stands offering him a delighted chuff that sounds too cheerful, too casual to match the storm that brews and seethes within Wardruna. It’s not her fault; his moods are known to shift from one to the next. Perhaps he is simply more irritable than usual as of late: there is a lot weighing heavily upon his mind at the moment. His movements cease and he lifts his chin, fixing her in his haunting, jack-o-lantern stare. “It has been a while since I have last seen you.” During that time his ability to speak the common tongue has been improving and his tongue does not feel quite so heavy when he speaks the words. He still prefers northern but thus far it is a language he shares only with Sif and that is something that he covets as a dragon hoards and guards treasure. This is all Wardruna speaks for the moment: a simple statement of fact lacking any accusation or questions. It is an invitation for her to indulge on how and where she has spent her time since they last saw one another. |
