I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow - Revolver - January 06, 2018 Without Jubilee to help him, the male had resorted more and more to theivery in order to survive. Even so, he was thinner than he'd ever been, and getting sick to boot. He missed man and his fires more than ever, and finally, had succumbed to the knowledge that he would not be able to survive on his own. And since he could not make it back to man and his old sledding team, he'd have to join a pack. The male approached the first border he came across, shivering at the scent of death and decay that lingered here. None of the other packs had smelled quite like this, but Revolver didn't know enough about wolves to say whether or not it was strange. Completely oblivious to the danger he might be in, the male tipped back his head and gave an ugly howl. RE: I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow - Kove - January 06, 2018 Lurking within the outskirts of the woods, he regularly stopped and raked his nails down the trunks of the trees, refreshing the scent markers previously left behind. He was nearing the completion of his patrol when the canine howled, catching his attention with ease; it was peculiar-sounding, making him wonder if the voice’s owner was injured in some way. Disregarding the thought—it didn’t matter if they were injured or not, they’d be treated the same—he made his way towards the origin of the call, jogging lightly. The first thing he noticed upon spotting the individual was his pelt, the markings unusual and standing out; white, but with splatters of various monochromatic colours that made it impossible for him to blend in with the snow. Shaking his head, he closed the distance between them, keeping his head held high and his expression neutral—bored, almost—as he stared the male down. “Tell me your name and what business you have here,” he commanded, eyes never straying. From a distance, he hadn’t seen the shape in which the loner was in, only the distinct markings on his body. Now that he was closer, however, it was easy to see the wear and tear that he’d undergone; the winter had not been kind to him, that much was obvious. RE: I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow - Euron - January 06, 2018 There were a lot of howls at the borders as of late. He had spent a lot of time at the borders and just outside of them but lately Euron had been busy somewhere in the bowels of the territory, refining his hunting techniques and killing several more rodents. But on this day, when this peculiar howl went up, he had found no fresh trace of mouse or vole, and was near enough to the borders that curiosity pulled him the rest of the way, where he saw one of his packmates with a stranger — a bit of a funny looking stranger. His coat looked splattered with black and gray over white and he was rather gangly. But Euron liked funny, and weird, and anything different. The boy crept closer. He was light of feet but also light of body, even given his age, and did not sink into the crunchy snow. Still, he was aware that that were weak spots, noisy weak spots, and he settled down behind a tree as soon as he thought he was near enough to catch the gist of what was going on. Peering around the trunk, he quietly observed. Feel free to skip me unless one of your characters directly interacts with Euron :) He's just here to observe.
RE: I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow - Revolver - January 12, 2018 Revolver shifted uncomfortably from paw to paw when the larger male approached, subconsciously lowering his body, even while his tail remained curled over his back. He had very little control over this, and did not know enough about wolf culture to think much of it. "I want to join your pack," he spoke, his voice cracking a bit as he swallowed back his nerves. "I'm - um. Revolver." RE: I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow - Kove - January 18, 2018 Kove’s eyes didn’t stray far from the stranger, watching his movements and the manner in which he presented himself closely. He noted the lowering of his body, just as he caught sight of the still-curled tail—whilst the former appealed to him, it was not enough to make up for the latter. The words that followed were heard but not acknowledged as he walked, stiff-legged, towards the speckled canine. His own tail arched over his back and his lips curled slightly, revealing but a few of his teeth as a warning. Although the recent hierarchy had jumped around a lot, with one wolf leading one day and then another the next, the submission that was to be shown never changed. Years ago, things had been stricter, and that time was the one that he presently lived in, still, as he dared the other to further his challenge. RE: I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow - Revolver - January 25, 2018 Revolver balked when he received no answer but a show of teeth. Had he done something wrong? Was he being rejected for his mixed heritage? He didn't know how this worked, he'd never tried it before. "What?" he demanded, trying for bravado but succeeding only in showcasing his terrible fear-aggression tendencies. He was further cowed by the sound of his own voice echoing back at him from within the territory. He was so hungry, even the fetid scent of the pack's borders was starting to make him slaver. His eyes darted to a gristly bone that laid beyond the man, and he licked his lips and dragged his eyes back to Kove. "Can I come in or not?" His fur was bristling without his permission, and he stank of fear and desperation. He just wanted in, didn't the man see that? They could talk about this later, or he could just turn Revolver away. What he didn't like was this silence - it made him want to lunge. |
