RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 09, 2018

Engel was still hesitant about the whole, but eventaully he nodded. "Yeah...you just, uh...you wait here." He started to head away, even thinking that maybe he should just run while he still could and not have any freak outs on his conscience.

He still seemed a little hesitant, but went off to find them all the same; Poppy hoped he didn't just leave. She didn't know plants could be fun, and was eager to see what the seeds did; she didn't quite consider that fact that she was accepting weird plants from someone she'd just met. She shifted as she waited, a little glad for the opportunity to pluck the last of the melting snow from her pelt, then setting to picking the ice from between her paws.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 09, 2018

Engel left Poppy alone to find the flowers, and while part of him really didn't want to, he was curious as he had forgotten most of the experience. And as luck seemed to have it, he indeed found some. A few flowers in a patch of grass. Hesitantly, he picked them then headed off back to Poppy, where he shook the flowers in an attempt to get the seeds off.

Some fell. He looked at them, then to Poppy. "Only one, okay? I don't want you passing out, or...whatever they do." If he were to be honest, he had had two when he tried it. Engel tried to separate them, and went to get one. Only to end up getting two.

The poppies Engel brought were withered and dry, but beautiful all the same. When he'd shaken the seeds from them, the sheepdog grabbed the nearest one, smiling a little and she inhaled the faded fragrance, though her expression fell when Engel commented on the seeds. True wariness set in, now, and she wondered aloud,  "pass out - I thought they were fun?" Her head canted to the side, poppy still clutched carefully as she considered Engel.

"If you have too many...just don't have too many....then you just lay down and wait." He went to lay down on his back, legs stretching out above him. "It'll kick in...eventually." He was a little worried that things would go wrong, since he didn't realise he had gotten two instead of one.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - RIP Poppy - January 12, 2018

The male scooped up two of the seeds, reassuring her as he stretched out on his back. Gaze surveying the male, the sheepdog made to grab a seed, but her courage was faltering. She made as if to eat the thing, but in truth merely shifted it beneath her tongue. Still, curiosity held her here; she'd watch. Perhaps the plants really were fun, but the wariness she'd grown to utilize had her watch and learn before trying the plants herself.

Engel lay there and waited...and waited...and waited. "Hmm...something should have-" he started, turning his head toward Poppy only to see a blur where her face should have been. That's when the sky started to sway, and he felt as if he was moving while staying still.

"Thiiis is waaackky" he slurred. He had never used that word before, but it fit. He even giggled a bit. "Seee? Funnn." He reached out with a paw to attempt to boop Poppy, only in reality to completely miss.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - RIP Poppy - January 12, 2018

She waited for what seemed like eons, trying not to fiddle with the seed beneath her tongue. For a while, nothing happened, until suddenly he seemed to jump. The collie blinked at him, the sudden change. His next words came slurred, and she gaped at him as he giggled and attempted to boop her. The sheer ridiculousness of him had her giggle along with him, until the seed she'd been fiddling with slipped down her gullet.

Again she blinked, gut dropping as she realized where the seed had gone. Ah, but this couldn't be so bad, could it? Engel seemed to be having fun, at least, and yet she couldn't quell the nervousness that had her forelimb bounce.

At some point the limb stopped it's bounce, and colours seemed in sharp contrast and yet faded all at once, things blurring and sharpening at random. She giggled, half in nervousness and half in inhibition as she looked to the male, suddenly feeling quite light. A paw reached out to lightly boop his snout, only to miss as he had and instead lose her balance, falling half-atop of the male, giggling still.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 12, 2018

Engel's paw fell past Poppy, and he laughed as she started to giggle. He couldn't even remember why he never tried this again. She too tried to boop him, only to miss as well then fall on him. He let out a small woof as she had landed on him, looked at her. Then started laughing again, making no attempt to get her off. "Seee? Fuuuunnn" he slurred again. He made for another boop on top of her head.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - RIP Poppy - January 12, 2018

She giggled again, his dopeness suddenly quite funny. She laughed then, riotous and full, until it hurt to breathe and the breath wouldn't come to her lungs. She gasped for air a few moments before lazily bopping Engel again, a breathless "you're kinda cute,"  slipping from her maw. She didn't quite slur as he did, though the poppy seed had almost the same effect on her much smaller body.

She stood, swaying a moment, before crying, "let's go!" Wobbling, heedless to the snow that she sank half into, she blundered away through the white, stopping only when she half collided with a tree, slipping back into the snow with a spluttering laugh.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 12, 2018

Engel stopped for a moment hearing that. Then laughed with a wide smile. "You arrree toooo" he answered back as she got off of him. He rolled over as she began to move, only to walk into a tree. He laughed, walking past her. Until for the same to happen to him.

He shook his head, stunned, then laughed again. He did nothing but laugh. "Where we goooinnggg?" he asked slowly, trying to time out his words carefully.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - RIP Poppy - January 12, 2018

She pulled herself from the snow, darting haphazardly towards Engel, offering him a bold, sloppy kiss she doubted she'd have given anyone had she been in the right mind. Giggling again at her daring, she darted away again, this time successfully weaving through the trees. "adventuring!"  She called back, collapsing on her face once, but picking herself back up to make her dizzying way through the trees.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 12, 2018

Engel was once again stunned as he laid there when Poppy offered a kiss. He didn't return it, but he laughed much harder over it. He was not in his right state of mind, at all. He stumbled after her, not even thinking that if she got hurt in anyway, it would be on his conscience. If he would even remember any of this.

"Adveeeeeennntuuuurinnggg!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, no doubt letting anything nearby hear.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - RIP Poppy - January 12, 2018

Engel was behind her, and in wild abandon, she let out a war whoop, tail curled high. It wasn't after too much longer crashing through the snow that they came across the stream, small and half-frozen. "Engel!" She cried, volume control shot. Whispering now, and meandering close to him, she said; "bet - bet I can jump it." With a holler, she took off like a shot (read: a wobbling trot) and gathered herself fully before making the wild jump, feet sliding beneath her and once again, crashing into the snow and ice; luckily, unharmed.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 12, 2018

Engel stopped as he saw her about to jump. He thought it was much deeper than it was from where he was, and a rational part kicked in for a moment. "P-Poppy wa-" He didn't finish as she jumped. And she crashed into snow and ice, unharmed. He sighed, and then laughed before doing the same, landing near her. He got less firther than she had.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - RIP Poppy - January 12, 2018

She laughed for another moment before bolting upright, ears perked for a moment before slumping like the rest of her. She padded over to him, collapsing beside him, quite suddenly tired. She looked at him expectantly, rolling onto her side and half-pummeling him with her forepaws, slowly, clumsily, as if telling him to move and lead them to their next adventure.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 12, 2018

Engel rested for a short moment before Poppy came rolling over, booping him with her paws. He glanced over at her with a grin and tried to stand up, half-stumbling away from her. "L...Let's go this waayyy" he said, lifting a leg lazily to point one way, only to fall forward with his face in the snow.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - RIP Poppy - January 12, 2018

He stumbled away from her, pointing awkwardly before falling into the snow. She half-clambered over him, charging through the snow in the direction he indicated, not caring if he was following or not anymore. He'd given her a direction and she'd see it through, wherever this way led; she'd find the end of it.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 12, 2018

Engel pushed himself up, he was starting to feel more and more lazy. He watched as Poppy kept moving, and he lazily followed, stumbling. "P-Poppy! Waaaiitt for meeee!" He started going into a slow run to try to catch up.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - RIP Poppy - January 12, 2018

His shout had her falter, almost stop, but kept charging through the snow. The male, however, was naturally suited to winter, and better at this than she. When he did catch up, instead of let him pass her, she twisted awkwardly and made a slow lunge for him, attempting to fling herself atop him in an attempt to bring them both crashing down into the snow; in the midst of the little glade they found themselves in now.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 12, 2018

Engel passed, and stuck his tongue at her in a silly fashion, only for his face to twist into emotions like surprise, sudden fear and confusion as she flopped over at him, landing onto his back and bringing him down underneath her. "Pooooppppyyy!" This time he struggled, but not for too long.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - RIP Poppy - January 12, 2018

Engel struggled beneath her, and the girl yelped when one of his limbs caught a tender bruise on her haunch. She somersaulted over him, collapsing head-over-heals into the snow. Spread out in the cold and ice, she laughed, once, quietly to herself. She stayed perfectly still, face twisted up to stare at the sky, turning faded orange with the approach of the sunset. The colours pulsed, burned and tore through the sky, and quite suddenly she was entranced.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 12, 2018

Engel rolled over once she was off, huffing and puffing as he regained his breath. Then he turned to her, only for himself to be entranced by the sunset, and the glow around Poppy it caused, and the lights. He lied there on his belly now, not taking his eye off the sunset.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - RIP Poppy - January 12, 2018

Staring upwards still, she rolled nearer to the male, pausing only when she was near enough to lazily dab at him with a paw.  "engel," she whispered, sounding almost as if she had an important secret to share. "it's almost as red as you," She finished conspiratorily, twisting to blink at the male once she'd confided in him her observation.

RE: then it's getting louder and louder - Engel - January 12, 2018

Engel nodded dopily, he could agree on that. In the state he was in, at least. "Poooopppyyyy" he whispered, stretcing her name out as he did. "You're preeeetyyy" he blurted, at least in the light of the sunset. He didn't feel his face heat up this time after he said that. As he said that, he leaned toward her, only to fall forward. If one listened closely, they would hear snoring.
