Honor Thy Family - Athanasius - January 22, 2018 @Iliksis Backdated to before the war: January 18 - 19th Others welcome. Miraak is going to join soon as well
The smell of blood was what attracted him to the pack's lands. He was surprised that he had not found this place sooner. Bones and gore were strewn upon the borders in a clear message to the outside world: stay out. Though, Athan was more interested in tasting wolf-blood rather than joining or stealing from this pack. One scent in particularly familiar, but Athan could not put a name to the smell. He merely stalked around the border, searching for easy prey — though this place was a warning rather than an all-you-can-eat buffet. RE: Honor Thy Family - Iliksis - January 22, 2018 iliksis had no intentions that day of reinforcing the borders -- he had slipped from his small den in the hearth of the woods, and made out for the mountains where victims were distant and often easy to come by. however, as he blithely strode out from the last perimeter of the forest, he caught the fleeting shape of a form out of his peripherals. a form that he hoped belonged to blackfeather, because he had things to do, and playing guardian-dog was not one of them. by nature he was not exactly a home keeper anyway -- so he found it odd that he was compelled to investigate. as iliksis pulled closer, he was able to source from athanasius' scent that he carried no allegiance to blackfeather -- this lack of discernable scent made iliksis wonder his purpose here in the moor. without apprehension in his step, he walked towards the silver-doused creature -- his intelligent gaze sizing him up in a most categorical manner. the male was not ugly -- not in any way iliksis could find, and as he came within meters of the wolf he was able to catch the startling amethyst of the interloper's gaze. iliksis made no sound, but surely athanasius would have noticed his approach. RE: Honor Thy Family - Athanasius - February 05, 2018 Athan paces against the border looking for something fresh. There seems to be none; the bodies are all rotting, with flesh slothing off of the bones laid against the border and trees. He sucks his teeth, disappointed. No doubt the wolves inside here were particularly nasty, having killed enough wolves, coyotes, and foxes to dismember and strew the body parts around the borders. Athan looked up and found one wolf staring at him. He takes a step back, wondering how many he could take before the wolf went after him. RE: Honor Thy Family - Miraak - February 05, 2018 Miraak did not know the wolf who was protecting the borders, but he soon walked forward to join him in defending. He had expected this to be easy: scare the wolf off, and if they were too stupid, kill them and add them to their border decorations. But the sight of the pale fur and thick black stripe crossing along his spine and the deep amethyst eyes stopped him. Melkor?Miraak asked. There was surprise in his eyes, but malice in his voice. His son. The one mistake he had made in his life. RE: Honor Thy Family - Iliksis - February 17, 2018 so sorry for the wait. i honestly didn't see your reply. next time just shoot me a PM if i'm holding up something so badly!
his gaze flickered as the pale creature became aware of his presence. iliksis made no motion to move. instead he lifted his muzzle into the wind, pulling from the cold air the wolf's scent once more. his tail swayed idly by his hocks as he considered what to do. he did not have much allegiance towards the woods, and the wolf's presence did not stir immutable anger in him. he was simply indifferent. it seemed he was the only one indifferent -- a packmate approached then and iliksis glanced him over curiously. he recognized the wolf's scent, but not his features. iliksis did not find it strange, for most of the wolves were quite reclusive. he had been part of the coven for over a month and yet had only met one. it did not perturb him that he was so unfamiliar with the ranks, for he had no intention of familiarizing himself with anything but his victims. the wolf seemed to recognize the interloper. iliksis turned his flat gaze back to athanasius, dully wondering what riveting reunion he was about to witness.l the male watched only for a minute before turning back to the forest. he would leave them to their devices, having no interest in interception. |
