a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - January 23, 2018 Lennon felt that recently him and Korei hadn't spent enough time bonding as they usually would. A lot had been going on with the sudden multiple new companions, and he decided his time would be best spent with the girl that started it all. If it weren't for their meeting, and her agreement to join him in a journey for a new home he likely wouldn't be anywhere close to where he was today. The ivory girl was nothing short of a blessing. So, in the late of the night, he had planned on the two to talk over stars -- knowing how much she liked them.
He nudged the resting girl gently, hoping to wake her up in the most polite way possible. "Koreiii," the dark male cooed. Lennon gave her a quick lick on her ear, growing slightly anxious to finally have some one-on-one time with one another. It seemed like forever since they were ever by themselves. RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - January 23, 2018 Korei was having a peaceful dream, which wasn't too umcommon. She was smiling in her sleep, until she felt something on one of her ears. It flicked, and she stirred awake, smacking her lips as she looked up and gave a tired smile, then nuzzled up against him like a child. "Hi Lennonnnn" she drawled, still rather tired. She yawned a big yawn, and went against smacking her lips. "Why did you wake me?" RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - January 23, 2018 He smiled a bright grin when she cuddled against him, and despite wanting to stay in that moment forever Lennon knew stargazing would be more rewarding than sleep. "C'mon," He urged, staying quiet enough as to not wake the others. "Follow me." He lifted his head and waiting, not wanting her to simply fall back asleep.
RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - January 23, 2018 Korei Julia lazily stood up, shaking out her pelt and stretching out her body and limbs before following Lennon out of the group's resting area. "Where we...where we goin?" she asked after another small yawn. She closed her eyes for a moment, until quickly waking up after accidentally walking into the wall of the cave just next to the entrance, and she gave an embarassed shy smile before going out. RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - January 24, 2018 The wolf chuckled a full, amused laugh before using his muzzle to lift Korei’s head up higher. ”Wake up kid- we’re going to look at the diamonds.” The pair exited the lair and found themselves with a vast, crystal clear night sky. ”See?” He asked, gesturing to the open skies, his tail wagging slowly.
RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - January 24, 2018 Korei raised her head to the point Lennon lifted her head to, and her eyes brightened. She had seen them every night, or at least almost every night. Yet it always brought awe and wonder to her. She tried to keep her eyes open to look upon them, and her tai was wagging. "Yes...the stars" she answered sleepily. RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - January 24, 2018 Lennon shifted his amazement onto the young, snow white, girl. He admired her silently for a few moments, taking in all that he loved about the sweet kid. He watched in the reflection from her eyes the distorted version of the night sky. ”You have kaleidoscope eyes, love.” The dark wolf mumbled in reverence.
RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - January 25, 2018 Korei Julia didn't take notice of his change in gaze. Not until he mumbled something, and she turned her head with a confused look. "A kalei...what eyes?" She had never even heard of whatever that was. But coming from him, she assumed it was a compliment rather that something else. RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - January 27, 2018 He pondered how to explain such a beautiful sight, especially the one within her eyes. ”The stars shine within them like diamonds - kaleidoscopic.” Lennon explained, admiring her for a moment before shifting to the sky and feeling a sense of openness about him. So much open space and unknowns about the sky above, it was intoxicating to stare at.
RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - January 27, 2018 She wasn't sure what he exactly meant, until after a bit of thought. "So my eyes...have diamonds?" she asked, glancing about along the ground before turning to the skies. "No one...no one's ever said that about me before" she murmured quietly. But coming from him, she was sure it was a compliment. RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - January 27, 2018 Lennon glanced at the white angel again, feeling an emptiness in his stomach as her realized the lack of affection Korei has received in the past. He decided then he would make sure she knew how beautiful and perfect she was, so he nudge her with his nose and smiled again. ”There’s plenty no ones told you, Korei. I’m to fix that.” He began to observe her again, picking up his favorite features. ”You have a captivating pelt, you look angelic.” He admitted.
RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - January 27, 2018 She felt her face warm up at the coming praise from Lennon, the compliments. "No I don't, it's just pale...just pale fur...there's nothing special about me" she murmured. She got sad as she recalled what her Papa had called her, so long ago. Screw up, pathetic loser, pathetic, pathetic, path- "I'm pathetic" she said aloud, and her own eyes widened upon hearing herslef say that. She truly hoped that Lennon had not heard that. RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - February 03, 2018 Lennon’s heart was struck with an unknown feeling, absolute shocking fear and worry built up within it at her words. ”Korei! He said, almost sternly. ”Love, you’re beyond special, you’re remarkable.” He leaned forward, pain in his eyes as he attempted to figure the young girl out. ”Who called you pathetic?” His voice was quiet and almost scratchy, whoever did so he would not allow to get away with such deprecating words. No one, despite their evils, should be put down by words.
RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - February 03, 2018 Korei flinched upon hearing that, her ears flicked back slightly. She shook her head, regretting having even brought that up. It was a stupid thing to have said. "Lennon, it's nothing. I-I shouldn't have said anything, I shouldn't... I shouldn't..." But her feelings towards Lennon, they forced the words out of her. "My...My Papa...But I am. I couldn't hunt, can't fight. I got you hurt Lennon!" she cried out. She cried a bit even from her eyes. "The cougar, the wolf, I...I did nothing to help!" RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - February 03, 2018 Lennon knew the conditions of her old home were beneath merry, but to have such harsh slurs be thrown at her wasn’t anticipated. He would not allow that wolf to get away with such blatant lies. Her words stung, he needed her to know how important she was to them, to him. ”Korei - without you, we wouldn’t have any of this. If you didn’t agree to let me guide you, I wouldn’t have met Alarian, Xahi - any of them. Hell, Ali might not have even met his sister and niece.” He used his muzzle to shift her head slightly up, before locking eyes. ”You are the start of this all - and good you didn’t help with the cougar, I wouldn’t even let you if you tried. To run is better than to die. And you didn’t get me hurt, that white beast did. You are my everything, because you gave me everything.”
RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - February 03, 2018 Korei had her eyes downcast as he spoke. She whined lowly, all of this didn't seem like much in her mind. Yes without her, they may not have all met. But still she had also got them into trouble as well. Almost killed even. She let her head be lifted up by him, meeting his eyes. "But...am I?" She felt touched to hear him say that, that she was his everything. "I don't want you to only worry about me...you get yourself hurt for me, but what if you die? I...I can't have you die!" She left his gaze again. "I can't lost another friend..." RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - February 03, 2018 Her question gave him no hesitance. ”Yes,” He spoke, complete seriousness in his tone. He shook his head at her worries, Lennon knew when to run, he wouldn’t die protecting her, no way. ”If haven’t died yet, I won’t die anytime soon.” He ensured, to live through two consecutive attacks was rather special. He felt this group, these wolves brought luck with their presence and he’s definitely benefitted.
RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - February 03, 2018 She wanted to shake her head, to to say she didn't want him, or Alarian, or any of the others risking themselves for her. But she couldn't feel herself able to speak. Korei's heart was filled with total warmth, and she just slowly moved toward Lennon, going against the side of his neck. "Don't die....promise me you won't...please Lennon, I can't...not again." She looked up at the stars once more. And saw her favorite constellation. The one that held the most special place in her heart. "The Big Dipper" she whispered. "I...I taught her that one." RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - February 03, 2018 Lennon cradled the girl with his head, the equivalent of a hug. ”I promise.” Something about the vow seemed to hold truth, for no one knows when they’ll die, but something in him knew he would stay for a long time. He lifted his head at the mention of a constellation, searching for the so called “Big Dipper.” He’s heard of it in the past, from the mouths of wolves high on whatever they could find. He, himself, was rather high too and couldn’t exactly remember its position. ”Her?” He questioned.
RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - February 03, 2018 She nodded slowly. She felt sad now, having mentioned her. "My closest friend I had...my...my little sister..." He kept her eyes to the stars as she spoke. "I wanted to teach her more, more about the stars and play games with her..." Then her gaze shifted downwards. "She's why I left" she said, her voice full of sadness. RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - February 03, 2018 His eyes stayed on the sky as well, shifting closer to Korei and understanding her pain. "You can teach me, then." He suggested, finding interest in the twinkling lights above. There'd been multiple times he been among them, spiritually that is. Perhaps he should learn more about the flaming balls of gas he would never truly know. "I'm sorry, kid." Lennon whispered.
RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - February 03, 2018 Korei Julia tried to smile, but she just couldn't when thinking of her, the little sister she lost. There was a deep hole in her heart, left empty by the loss. And every now and then she sought something to fill it. For now the one closest to filling the hole, was the stars. "That...that might be good..." she said quietly. She looked up again. Korei didn't know it, but all she needed was her own star. It would be the only thing to fill the hole enough. "My family...they blamed another for it. I knew it wasn't them, but they...they wouldn't listen." RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - February 13, 2018 Lennon’s heart dropped at the idea of young, sweet, kind, benevolent Korei to be blamed for someone’s death. His emotions conflicted - stuck between furious and pity. Her home really seemed awful and is these strangers felt they could treat their own blood as such, he was going to do something about it. Perhaps, not now, but sometime once everything is figured out.
”They’re bloody idiots,” Lennon blurted, surprised by his snap, giving a remorseful smirk to die down his anger. ”You’ll never be treated such a way with Alarian and I.” He gave her a kiss on the nose, before admiring her sea of diamonds in her eyes. ”You’re one of the best things to ever happen to me.” RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Korei Julia - February 13, 2018 She felt happy, almost so happy she could cry. She kept her gaze to Lennon's, eyes growing wet. "Thank you" she whispered quietly, as she leaned up against him more comfortably. Korei nuzzled up against him, and sighed happily. "I'm glad I found you, Lennon...glad you saved me from the river..." RE: a girl with kaleidoscope eyes - Lennon - February 13, 2018 l "-And I'll save you from anything else." He promised, nuzzling into her fur. It was an undescribably bliss to make someone happy - especially someone as emotionally abused as her. Her safety was the most important thing to him, emotionally and physically.
