you can't wake up; this is not a dream - Zada - January 31, 2018 The girl-- Seabreeze, now, it seemed-- had left Zada for longer than she expected. The dark woman grew bored very quickly, and soon she was setting off with an inner promise to return before her pale-eyed sylph. She wandered far, admittedly, but she knew the direction back-- and was taken with the meadow she had discovered.
In spring, she knew it would be breathtaking; winter rendered it plain and stark, but she had seen meadows enough to picture it well. In her mind's eye, it was flourishing, green with bright splashes of berries and flowers, bustling with new life. She longed for that image to become real. But it would not. Zada sat down, pawing aimlessly at the snow-covered roots of the tree next to her. She thought she saw something move-- a mouse? The dark woman lowered her head to sniff, then pawed more at the roots, delving deeper into the crevices between. A sharp sting in her paw startled her, and she yelped and jerked her foot back. The awkward angle worked against her, and the force of the action caused a sickening crunch. An agonized, gasping whimper escaped her, and at once she knew it was broken. RE: you can't wake up; this is not a dream - Iliksis - January 31, 2018 he thought of relmyna as he clambered the nameless rise outside of blackfeather. he thought of their meeting, and of the sharp turquoise of her eyes. he thought of her still as he made his way downhill and pebbles clattered with him. a pained cry sounded overhead and he froze in his tracks. a whimper followed. his ears turned slowly atop his thin head and he turned for the shaded bosk with curious steps. she was easy enough to detect, a feminine form hunched over a prone wrist. iliksis noted the charred umber of her coat and the intermittent splotches of brown. her muzzle was twisted by pain. he said nothing as he came closer. each whimper she uttered stirred something in him that was baseless and ugly and he smothered it each time it reared its blackened head. he would not give in yet despite wanting to. his expression molded into one of feigned concern as he broke the shadow-line and stepped into her view. RE: you can't wake up; this is not a dream - Iliksis - February 24, 2018 he was sure of his mark -- so sure that he hardly noticed the shadow of another wolf in proximity. the wolf was far bigger than he, and male -- iliksis disappointedly noted the maturity of its frame and the stalwart complexion of its features. it had yet to be aware of their presence, but iliksis would take no chances. he knew women screamed and that would surely alert this stranger of their presence. at this point, defiling her was a frivolity. quickly he turned on his heels and quit the female's company, feeling the rejected sting of his loins growl in protest. he would not risk his life yet, and his frustration built into an inmutable rage as he stalked through the teekons. he elected then to hide out in the canopy and return at a later hour -- but for now, he picked his way through the empty woods and quickly disappeared into the hinterlands. |
