it may be tough - Grimlock - June 03, 2014 The early afternoon was mostly cloudy when the raptor stirred awake, a small cutesy sound escaping the pre-teen’s muzzle as he yawned, jaws splitting wide to expose the sharp teeth his lips hid. For a second he laid there, stretched, rolled onto his back and stretched again, crown of his skull pressed against the dirt staring up at the packed dirt ceiling, canting his head to the side as he sleepily observed the intricate webbing of vein like roots, some spindly pieces hanging down like some kind of plant created veil. A movement caught his attention and Grimlock twisted so he was facing the neat spider web that dominated the far corner of his den, the arachnid staring at him with beady little eyes, raising it’s two front legs in what Grimlock liked to believe was a greeting. “Sup Princess Leia?” She was a big, hairy thing (at least Grimlock thought it was a she) and as far as he could tell far from pretty but they co-existed together in the big den together and Grim didn’t have any problems with Princess Leia making his den her home, too. “I see you caught a hearty breakfast.” A centipede was entangled in the intricate design of her web and the raptor nodded his approval, wondering what someone would think if they strode by and heard him talking to his pet spider. RE: it may be tough - Pura - June 09, 2014 Pura Virtúte was on big-boy patrol. Without an adult to escort him, this only meant skirting the perimeter of the rendezvous site and the occasional daring venture a few meters into the unknown - always with a sharp bark from a vigilant adult if he dropped out of sight. But it was still a proper patrol, with regular piss stops and much staring into the distance. He was just about to pack it in when a less familiar face appeared between the trees. The ashen pup knew him to be welcome, but the rendezvous site was home.. which meant that anyone that didn't sleep within the 'borders' was a visitor. Putting on his best border patrol face - all business in the front, party in the rear (the excitement of doing something grown up was just too much to suppress on all levels) - Pura squared up to the approaching male. "Suu.. Su-top! Sssssstop!" the pup barked, mentally adding "who goes there?" but lacking the four hours it would take to enunciate that sentence properly. |
