I would give myself away - Kove - February 13, 2018 With his wounds farther along in the healing process, Kove ventured from the bypass with relative ease. So long had passed since he was last in the region, some things having changed, though most was just the same as it’d always been; there were often times where he missed the area and wished to visit, but had never made the journey—seems like all he needed to get moving was a war on his doorstep. A part of him wished to stay there, even, yet he knew he could not as abandoning Blackfeather was out of the question. Knowing he would have to leave—and soon—he made the most of what little time he had as he trailed southwards. It was a distant memory now, a meeting with his daughter that was so terribly clouded only a few things stood out to him anymore. Luckily, of those things was the location of her pack—at least, it was once the location. Whether or not she resided there to this day, he had no way of knowing, though the scent markers lining the territory gave him some hope; there was a pack still there, judging by the intensity of the scents. Kove trailed along the outskirts of the area for a short while. When at last he chose to stop, it was due primarily to a sudden limp (curse the aging body!). And although it frustrated him at first—he didn’t like the reminder that he was getting older, that there were some things he could not do as easily as when he was young—he took it as a sign and finally tilted his head back to let out a howl for the residents of Stone Circle. RE: I would give myself away - RIP Valette - February 13, 2018 Ever since her mate died, Valette had to take over his duties regarding border patrol. It might be a bit strange to not have the alpha's scent on the border after all. Valette was still getting used to it. It wasn't her favorite thing to do at all. Valette rather wanted to watch the herd and perhaps hunt them. Even though it wasn't her favorite thing to do, she had to admit it did feel nice to smell her own scent on there. This land was her and her pack. Valette was just done with a full round around the territory when the howl came. The female tipped her head. Did that sound familiar? She couldn't really place it. Valette turned and trotted towards the howl. She made a shortcut to be at the howler quicker. The female approached with her tail raised. She spotted a white male. He looked familiar as well but couldn't place him. Maybe someone from Silvertip or another pack of her past. Somehow she was a bit reminded of Xan. She stopped at a neutral distance before him. The male looked injured. Did he seek refuge? Valette dipped her head. "What brings you here?," she asked neutrally. They didn't have any healers but she wouldn't say that before the male would say what he wanted. Then she squinted her eyes. Was this...? She took one step closer and sniffed him. Was this her father? Valette wanted to ask if he was her father. She hadn't thought of him in a long time. But she realized her neutral question asked before could be answered by him anyhow. |
