RE: black seas - Rannoch’s Ghost - March 12, 2018

Rannoch was suddenly ashamed of everything that had transpired; a brief look of horror shone in his eyes as he realized what he had almost enabled.

"...It's not," he decided with evident regret; Rannoch was disappointed in himself, and it showed. Although the situation was different than the one that had driven them to leave, Rannoch could see where Liffey was coming from. "We are not Moonspear, and we never will be." His eyes found Terance, and he frowned, "I do not blame you for the choice you made, either, Terance. I know you were doing what you thought was best for the pack. Let's meet later and talk about strategies we will implement in the future." He hoped that his Beta would understand.

As Liffey spoke to Redshank directly, Rannoch turned his attention to the wolves that held onto the intruder. "Thank you all for your help; you can let him go. Treason— I want you to make sure he gets as far away from here as possible. Do not attack unless he attacks you. I'm sure he's learned his lesson." He stepped towards the group, and he looked down to the wolf that he had once considered to be like a son. "I'm really disappointed in you, Redshank. Do not make this mistake again." Although Rannoch was stern, his distress was evident in his expression.

Rannoch tentatively moved closer to Titmouse, and his ears flattened. "I do not blame you for defending Redshank, either, Titmouse. I know how much he means to you. This mistake will not be held against you." He so desperately wanted to embrace the Omega but, he resisted. "Because I made a mistake, too." Rannoch took a step back, and looked to the gathered wolves, "And we will all learn from this."

He looked at Liffey and frowned. "I will never put the pack in this position again. This is the last time that we will act like them."

RE: black seas - Arbiter - March 12, 2018

Fine, they agreed.  Not the choice Treason would have made, but it was at least a choice.  She'd go along with it, getting in trouble wasn't worth it, after all.

She finally moved to let Redshank up, drawing her tongue across her teeth as she did so to clean off what blood might have clung there.  Her muzzle was still crinkled slightly, and though she wasn't outright snarling, she was was sure as hell ready to go back after him if he screwed up.  Her sharp gaze bored into him, waiting for him to move so they could wrap up this disaster.  She wanted to chase him off with her snapping at his heels, but did that count as an attack?  Probably.  Either way, he was ending up out of this territory in the end of it all.

She made a mental note that if she found a trespasser alone, before anyone else, to flay them before the cops showed up.

RE: black seas - Terance - March 12, 2018

liffey... stopped this? in all the heat of the moment terance almost couldn't believe his ears. even god damn titmouse had stopped in his tracks, which was a good thing because terance would've fucking killed him(he'd decided, anyway). this wasn't typical behavior of the raven-furred beta, no ma'am, but there was a lot going on. his best friend and his family were being threatened, he felt obligated to protect. it was his job. maybe this was the wrong way of doing-- but terance did not fear the cerberus the way liffey did, he'd always had respect for them. and politically this is how they always handled this and... low-key? it always worked, didn't it?

whatever, terance's gaze flitted from liffey to treason, disappointed to see the leg not broken but also glad. mixed emotions.

"liffey... you're--" trying to start a family. this man was threatening them. would she rather this asshole roam free in the wilds so that one day, when she has a family on this mountain, small pups, he can reenter and kill them? that's all terance could think about. but... on the other hand, terrace didn't want to advertise liffey and rannoch's plans for children this go around. so he just shut up.

he wanted to fight this. it didn't seem right to him. morally? it kind of made sense-- liffey was coming from a good place-- but he didn't agree with it... not in this situation. this wasn't a 'omg we're gonna shove the blame on that guy and then fuck him over for no reason, hehe!' this was... this guy is literally coming for blood and we need to show him we won't be treated like that? we're not to be fucked with? something like that... terance juts didn't agree. so he hesitated, but he already knew he was in trouble, and he really didn't care to make it worse. he gave a short nod to rannoch, gaze understanding but expression sort of bothered. and with a low growl at treason and seabreeze-- not a mean one, just a command to step back-- terance grabbed redshank by the collar and yanked him up, then shoved him away. a louder and meaner growl rumbling in his throat now. "you heard her," he said, teeth bared.

RE: black seas - Titmouse (Ghost) - March 12, 2018

Screech is exiting this thread at this point.

He heard what was said but he didn't care, as his blood still boiled and his desire to rend Terance a new butthole could not be subdued for long. Everyone was gawking at everyone else — Liffey and Rannoch were fighting, Redshank was being banished (sort of) and both of Rannoch's lackeys were doing as they were told — so Screech continued to stalk along, putting it all behind him for the time being and getting some much needed space. Fuck all of this, he was thinking, but he didn't go far..

RE: black seas - Seabreeze - March 12, 2018

break it.

she looked for what felt like an eternity at the sweet boy she had commiserated with under the stars.  here, with that hard glint in his emerald stare she felt something different.  what was he, a savage?  she took several sprawling steps backward; she refused to take part in this.

and then liffey was on the scene.  this girl said everything that seabreeze had been thinking but did not have the authority to express.  her heart hammered in her chest and she did not stick around for long after the dust settled, running away to hide with the blood still pooling down her maw.

RE: black seas - Redshank - March 21, 2018

Suddenly, it was over. Redshank kept his head low as the two alphas spoke, Liffey trying to plead his case while both Rannoch's voice and words were heavy with something akin to regret. A flash of anger shot through the Cairn's eyes and his tail whipped behind him. Bullshit. That man had issued the order and would not have stopped it if his wife hadn't intervened. He had no idea what this Moonspear was but it sounded equally as horrible as this place. His gaze flicked upwards as the pale female regarded him, his response only a subtle wrinkle of his lip as her mate then reprimanded him. Disappointed. Redshank could've said the same. He had wanted a battle against the man, but the spineless coward buckled from the pressure of a wolf twice as small as himself.

As he then moved towards the seething Screech, the boy let out a low snarl. Get away from him. It was cut short however, as the dark brute suddenly grabbed him by the collar at his neck. He was heaved into the air and roughly shoved a few steps towards the borders. He stumbled, about to meet the man's growl with one of his own before his eyes met those of the large female who had been hovering at his hind leg, his blood still marking her teeth. She loomed above him menacingly, and finally the boy relented, lowering his ears defensively as he was escorted away from the scene. He cast one last venomous glare back at Rannoch before catching sight of his friend - he could only hope no harm would come to him, regardless of what the alpha had said.

RE: black seas - Rannoch’s Ghost - March 22, 2018

The wolves of Sunspire only dispersed once Treason shepherd Redshank off of their territory. Unlike the others, who gathered into their appropriate cliques and left the scene, Rannoch sought solitude. He had a lot to think about, and he knew he needed time alone to evaluate where things went wrong.

Rannoch found himself a perch that overlooked the Rising Sun Valley; he made himself comfortable and lost himself for quite some time as self-deprecating thoughts invaded the forefront of his consciousness. Somewhere in between his invasive thoughts, he found awareness for the actions of himself and others.
