God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Ypres - June 07, 2014 Darkness danced over the horizons as nightfall took residence over the lands; Ypres had been yearning to upgrade her poor hunting skills of larger prey, and tonight was the night. She trailed the scent of deer grazing not too far off in the meadows; the deer obviously assumed safety as they carelessly fed themselves in the tall grass. A toothy grin silently plagues across her muzzle as her heart pounded a million miles within her chest as she grew excited within. Not only happily excited, but nervous too. The three year old was never really good at hunting bigger game, but tonight she was going to teach herself like it or not. She was sick of eating the same things over and over again; and her jaws craved some real fucking meat! Seeing the small herd, perhaps a family of deer standing there feeding. There were two fawns and a doe; luckily no stag otherwise she'd be in trouble. Ypres crouched lowly, feline like as she watched in attempts to get closer to leap at one of the fawns. She needed to separate them, was all that she knew. Slowly, and gracefully she'd lift one paw after the next, slowly lowering her paws to the ground keeping as silent as possible. She'd make a good assassin if she could get away with doing this to a wolf creeping up behind him. Ypres was good on her feet, and because she was short, she was always under estimated; but if one drew in closer to her presence they's see how built and muscular she really was. Eyes locked on the targets, as she slowly drew inward. Ypres was getting closer to her victory prize. She had not picked which fawn to eat, but knew one of them were eventually going to be her meal, and then take back the heart for her Alpha to feast upon and enjoy. Slow timed deep breaths, silently she got even closer. Seeing the mother flip an ear in alert, Ypres must have been heard as she drew her last paw step downward. Teeth flashed with defeat, but it wasn't over yet. The small herd was about 300 hundred feet away, she just needed to get closer. Ypres slowly got lower to the ground seeing the doe looking around like a bloody fool. The female was not spotted, and she slowly rose her position once more as she watched the doe lower her skull back to the grass to graze once more. Ypres crept on in again; one step at a time, slowly until she watched the doe raise her face to the sky flipping her ears listening. Ypres was busted. A white tail of the doe indicated for her young to run as she lead the direction. Fuck! The fawns aborted the area as well, and Ypres took of like a bat out of hell after them. Frustrated she ran after them hard; her jaws snapping at the hide of one of the fawns missing its target. She passed Arrow Lake in a flying glimpse after her prey as swift as her stocky limbs could carry her. She may have been a shorty, but she still ran quite fast, but her endurance was not like that of one who had longer legs. Ypres needed to train up her endurance skill, and she knew it. This was part of why she was hunting as well tonight. She knew pack wars may be approaching, and she needed to get as strong as possible, and help lead a battle into victory if she can. For an avid fighter, she did have fight endurance, but when it came to chasing prey, that was a trickier part. Putting all that aside, it was mind over matter, and she needed to catch herself a meal tonight to prove that she could do this. She always blamed her short legs and hated it! Another snap her her fangs like a bear trap finally caught the flank of one of the fawns. Perhaps getting pissed off was enough to force her adrenaline to make her run faster than usual. Ypres viciously yanked the fawn downward and victory was at her paws once consumed. The flamed colored female successfully pulled the young creature downward and onto its side as she viciously snarled and ripped at it like a crazed maniac. She did not stop her attack until the young prey was dead. She gave a final rip at its jugular region and ended its young life. The sound of hooves could still be heard running off into the distance as she plucked her fangs deep into the belly of the fawn to rip it further open and apart to expose the goods that were inside. Tonight she ate like an Alpha by eating the best parts. Screw giving the heart to Majesty, instead she would offer him a tender part of the meat which may have tasted better in her books, but the organs were what an Alpha usually desired for the best of health gain. Usually Ypres would often fight for her meals with fellow pack mates or loner rogue wolves, but tonight she had the need to celebrate and she didn't mind sharing her meal. RE: God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Kaname - June 13, 2014 There was a new pack in the mountains to the northeast. Sunspire. Named after the place where they lived, like the rest of the packs around here. After he had somewhat healed from his fight with the doppleganger, he decided to explore the place. See what he could scare from the mountains. He had only neared the base of the mountains when the sound of hooves pounding the ground filled his ears. It was muted from the distance, but it was slowly and slowly coming closer. Kaname ducked as he saw the small group of bewildered deer running past. Towards the back of the herd, a fawn stumbled and fell. The dark assassin moved forward to finish it off before it rose, only to stumble himself as pain surged around his flank. The fawn rose and ran after its family, its white pennant of a tail flaring. Kaname growled. If only he wasn't hurt! Then he could get a quick bite. That is alll your fault... a familiar voice hissed. He didn't answer. By now he knew that answering would only anger him more. From the way those deer were running, it looked like something had spooked them. Another wolf perhaps, from hunting? Hoping he could get a quick meal out of another's kill, he walked in the opposite direction of the deer. Soon enough, he heard the cracking of bone and tearing of flesh. Kaname's icy eyes seemed to glow with satisfaction as he heard the sound of a successful hunt nearby, accompanied by the smell of a wolf. He approached the wolf, a female from the smell of her, and hoped she would be kind and at least share with him. She was not much younger than he, with a cream colored coat. He moved forward, chuffing softly to announce his arrival. RE: God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Ypres - June 15, 2014 The scent of another wolf alerted her. It was unexpected that one would show up so soon! She glanced upward from her meal as she ate and gestured for him to join her. As he drew in closer she scented he was of Silvertip Mountain. Better be careful Ypres he might hurt you... Weary eyes watched as he approached ear flat upon her skull as she tensed downward onto the fawn to clip off another part of its guts to feast upon. She turned cheek as she chewed her mouthful and swallowed. Hi there.. Ypres watched further as she licked at the tips of her fangs. No bloodshed today she hoped. She was not on her turf, but that of another pack's nearby. She glanced over her shoulder to make sure that no one else was around. She moved over to let the onyx male in. RE: God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Kaname - June 15, 2014 As he grew closer, he smelled the salty tang of the ocean on the she-wolf. One of Majesty's bastards. He sneered silently. He didn't hold it against her though, from what he has heard, the traitor's gang was made of loners, unlike Sunspire, which was almost entirely composed of wolves from Swiftcurrent. "Greetings." He said calmly, noting the she-wolf's wariness. When she moved over to let him feast, he nestled next to her, at the lower part of the fawn. He took a bite of the tender creature and when he swallowed it, he turned to her. "What is your name?" RE: God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Ypres - June 16, 2014 Just because their leaders were at war, why should Ypres and the rest of the pack have to suffer? Ypres had the impression that the male had already judged the book unread, but then again who was he to judge? And who was she to assume? He moved on in like a blanket of darkness, swift, silent, Ypres could tell he was a loathsome killer, master corruption. Her eyes watched his every move, hackles instinctively bristling as she chewed at her claimed area of fawn. He asked what her name was. "Ypres" She simply stated with cold icy tone and between mouthfuls. She had a deep desire to leave the entire meal to him, as she felt the need to run. It was all she had ever come to know, was to run. She feared getting to know another soul due to past poor experiences. She ate in silence allowing the male to do the same. By the time she was finished her share of kill, she was too full to want to endure the trip home just yet. " So what brings a lively Silvertip Mountain wolf all the way over here with such healthy hunting grounds?" She was curious, she just needed to know if he was just simply wandering, or if he was looking for turmoil... RE: God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Kaname - June 16, 2014 "My name is Kaname." he said before biting off another mouthful of fawn. All the while he noticed her tense movements. She was frightened of him, her hackles raised defensively though her voice was cold. She wanted to run away from him. He laughed to himself. I am not interested in killing you, Ypres... He was still eating when she finished her share. The cream she-wolf stared at him curiously. She asked why he was so far away from his own territory where prey was plenty. He swallowed a piece of meat and turned to her. "I heard of a new pack in the mountains called Sunspire. What I heard was similar to your pack's inception; their leader was driven off from Swiftcurrent and created his pack in the Sunspirt Mountains. I was curious about them, so I came here." RE: God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Ypres - June 20, 2014 Ypres may have been slightly afraid, but not all that afraid of the onyx stranger. She was off territory of home base, and it of course intimidated her as she grew accustomed to pack life once again. He bore his calling and she offered him a smile as she sat upon her haunches. "Nice to meet you Kaname." She listened to him speak as to why he had come. She rose a brow when she heard that Majesty was exiled from his previous pack to create the one she joined. "Majesty was exile huh? I know of the pack close by, as I heard them howling far off in the distance. " She told him as she stretched out the front part of herself and slowly lowered to the ground. She over ate and was now feeling lethargic. RE: God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Kaname - June 21, 2014 He gave a snort of contempt. So Majesty hadn't told his pack his history? That he was keeping secrets from them? He probably did not tell them about his little whore Erika either... he chuckled to himself. Oh won't that be a treat. It was a pity he couldn't be there to see it. The young female stretched, her paws out in front of her, while he kept his tucked near his body. "What about you, what are you doing hunting so far from the shore? Is prey so scarce on the Isle?" He wondered if Majesty had been so stupid as to set his pack up where there was no food around. RE: God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Ypres - June 21, 2014 Ypres looked at Kaname wondering what was surging through the core of his mind. He then spoke once more, and it was a clear indication that he knew the scarce situation of food supply on the Isle. "Yeah. The larger of the prey anyway.. just tired of eating crab, hare, and other small tidings.. I crave some real blood and meat." She licked at the tips of her fangs as she finished her sentence. She offered a friendly wag of her tail as well as she lay there. Shifting her weight upon the fullness of her belly she was curious about this handsome male. " why is it that small prey live on the isle? I have been on other lands like that, and have seen much bigger prey. " She shifted once again, and offered a tiresome yawn. Her mind was whirling full of questions, but only those she should learn on her own. She stood up and stretched it was time to go home to fulfill her duties. " We'll, Kaname, it was nice to meet you, but I really should get going " RE: God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Kaname - June 21, 2014 As he predicted, the Isle itself was scarce of large prey. All it held were crabs, hare and other small prey which was barely enough to sustain a full grown wolf, let alone a whole pack on wolves. A plan sprouted half-formed in his deranged brain. Perhaps we could block the borders and prevent the Isle wolves from leaving their pathetic little island. He chuckled maliciously in his brain. Then we could starve them before moving in to claim their land. But that was for another time. "I suppose the larger prey never got a chance to get onto the island." he had heard tales of the lands underneath their feet slowly but constantly moving. Maybe the ancestors of the large herbivores living now did not live so close to the shore so when that land parted from the mainland there were no unglates there to float away with it. The Isle wolf stretched, yawning, full from the kill she made. She excused herself and made her way to depart. He sniffed, idly taking a bite of the carcass. "It was nice meeting you too Ypres. Have a good journey. RE: God, why have you forsaken me? (MATURE) All welcome - Ypres - June 21, 2014 Despite the fact that Kaname seemed all nice and all Ypres dared not trust this lad. He just seemed too nice, and too nice usually offered Ypres a red flag. However; she wasn't all that worried about him for the moment. She had a few things she needed to do before heading home. She needed to talk to some of the wild fauna. War was among them, and if she offered the right rewards and played her cards correctly, then she would have some damn powerful allies. She offered the man a simple smile and a nod before turning off. "Yeah.. you too.." She woofed back behind her as she trotted briskly through the trees and dispersed. |
