Onyx had returned with the explanation she had been off hunting and exploring. It was something he struggled to understand but he let it go just to lay in peace by her side. Now that she was home again he felt more relaxed and he ate the meal he caught with her before going off to find the medic.
He'd noticed a while ago that a few of his wounds were gross and leaking puss. He knew they were infected and they hurt to groom and clean. The wounds along his shoulders were the bad ones and it affected how he walked, with a stiff and slow gait. He really had begun to look his age, a good five plus years.
