I know some people who are flying straight - Mawk - April 25, 2018

Maybe @Rowana or @Cyron? I need more family threads ;-;

Life had been busy for many months now. There was a lot of work to do, and at times he felt as though he could not keep up with it. His way of coping with this? Working more. It could sound ridiculous, but truly this was how he dealt with the tangle of... what would you call it? Bad occurences? Unfortunate events? In all truth, it was a mess. A big mess that his family was caught up in. If it could have been any other way, he'd revel in the fact that he had a family to love and call his own - of course, he adored his kids and his wife and his sister, but he wished they were all happier. He wanted nothing more than to see them shine in the life they had, but this was not the case. Despite all of this, Mawk was proud they'd made it this far. They'd pushed through, and that was what mattered.

Still, he wanted to affirm and strengthen the bonds of the Saefyn family. On this particular evening, he set out in search of either of his living children. He loved them oh so dearly, and he'd love a chance to just relax and chat with them. There didn't even have to be a large amount of talking - they could hunt, go for a walk, whatever was desired. The father just wanted to be with his kids.

RE: I know some people who are flying straight - Stark - April 27, 2018

Although he'd never say it, with the knowledge that Valette was most likely pregnant he was close to losing his mind with worry. Stark was more anxious, which made him prone to trying to exhaust himself physically, and so when Mawk set out that evening trying to hunt down his children Stark intercepted him just finishing up a round of the borders. Again. There'd been no signs of Birk, no real issues along the way, but the nagging feeling was still there. Something might happen. Something would go amiss.

Fatherhood would only compound these feelings in him, no doubt. It wasn't his first go around the bend but as he'd felt he failed Tambourine - and Amara's kids too since he'd been about the only male figure in their lives - he still wanted to do better. When he finally realized he'd nearly walked right into Mawk in his stupor about his own fate he let out a low chuff, giving a nod to the other male.

RE: I know some people who are flying straight - Mawk - May 05, 2018

There was a peaceful silence, one that he relished in - but despite his admiration for the quiet, he longed desperately to hear the little pawsteps (ones that were so much bigger now) padding across the ground toward him. He missed their little smiles, their quirks and differences, everything about them... he loved. He wished he could travel back in time and protect his children from all the harm that had befallen them, all the heartbreak and pain, be it mental or physical. And... he wished he could bring back Burr. Oh Burr, he had not deserved that terrible fate. The only solace Mawk could find when he looked back was that Burr was finally at peace. But the same could not be said for his living young, and this was why he had set off to find them. The man wanted to spend time with them, connect with them, before it was too late. Time slipped through the hands of those who let it - he would not be one of them.

At first the approach of another caught him off guard, and he momentarily believed it to be one of his children, who had apparently found him in his little journey to find them. But after a second more, the scent proved to belong to somebody else and he was suddenly faced with the grey male that he recognised as Stark. Instinctively, Mawk dipped his head in respect to the other wolf before allowing a small smile to grace his features.
