she twines her spine up slowly, towards the boiling sun - Hydra - May 11, 2018 dated before RHC thread! Hydra was glad to see @Gannet fully recovered from his latest misfortune, and with this thought in mind the Beta sought him out. He was undoubtedly her closest friend (not including her sisters), and he filled no void within her that had been left when Terance had abandoned her but rather made his own space for himself. The Ostrega sniffed at the stone beneath her, seeking his scent. Her ears cupped backward as she moved forward, believing she may have detected a trace of it and following this lead. Woo! Also set before screechie <3 Gannet had enjoyed meeting the youngest Moonspearians immensely, and he tended towards hanging around a bit, though not to the extent of being a bother to the parents. At the moment, however, he had taken a break for a hunt, his small game skills still improving with each try he took. He would never be as fast as he was before, but he was at pretty much the peak of what he could be, and currently carried a slain stoat to show for it. He'd intended to take it to Hydra anyway, to see if she'd like to share, but she seemed to have found him first! He grinned around the kill, ears pricking with the usual enthusiasm to greet his closest friend as well as he bounded forward. RE: she twines her spine up slowly, towards the boiling sun - Hydra - May 11, 2018 He came from another direction, and Hydra heard him before she saw him—she altered her course, recognizing his plod, and as she noted his kill Hydra dashed around him and slipped into a play bow, growling lowly. Then she lurched upward and went for the end of it nearest to her, seeking to gain some kind of purchase to incite a game of tug-of-war, a known favorite of hers. This time, he could employ each of his legs, and so too would she. RE: she twines her spine up slowly, towards the boiling sun - Gannet - May 11, 2018 He caught the shift in her demeanor to play almost immediately, and there was a glint in his eyes as he pulled back, readying. She was quickly able to grasp the end with her head start, but he had clenched, and so the game began! This was another reason Hydra ranked so high in Gannet's list of favorites; she didn't hide from him, at least not that he could tell. Generally he knew what she was thinking, and it made her far easier to be around than others he had previously met. It was a stark contrast from her sisters, who always seemed guarded and aloof. He let out a small encouraging growl, stirring the pot a bit, and pressed forward, hoping to make her step back and maybe unbalance. RE: she twines her spine up slowly, towards the boiling sun - Hydra - May 22, 2018 Hydra responded to his growl with one of her own, before vigorously shaking her head to create more tension in the carcass they pulled between them. Her eyes were upon his legs, and she noted his movement toward, simple and little though it was, and Hydra squared her weight and held the creature between them tightly, her eyes flashing. It was then she sought to move backward, though not in a few short steps—Hydra, with every ounce of muscle she had earned, utilized all of her body weight to attempt to pull and bring Gannet along, wanting the critter between them to be held taut and to, eventually, get all of the spoils. Her tail waved as she snarled loudly, the sound a fearsome one to any stranger. But Gannet was no stranger and would know the playful, rippling pitch that rolled from her. RE: she twines her spine up slowly, towards the boiling sun - Gannet - May 25, 2018 When she pulled, he definitely followed. He hadn't been expecting the swift tug, all of her power behind it, and so he stumbled. When he did, his jaws instinctively released, and the prize was hers. Oh, that couldn't stand!! He barked once, a sound of playful indignation, and reared up, snatching at the prey to see if he could reclaim his end!! If she dodged he would follow, turning this match of strength into one of agility and chase! |
