Robin Hood & Little John - Sootbird - June 14, 2014

Ooc: For @Majesty :)

Ic:

The now lush trees of the Heartwood swayed their arms in the shy breeze of early evening, and they balanced the colors of sunset bleeding into the clouds. Before the sun relenquished it's throne in the sky, it bewitched all watchers that night. He painted the sky a foreign, tropical orange and blush, dappled with grey-purple clouds that seemed to flicker.

Ahhh..tsss! Tssst-sst-tssss... Sootbird yelped and recoiled in pain, hissing and shaking her shaggy head all at once. While making progress on digging her den, as most seemed occupied and rather full this time of year, she managed to scrape a fresh wound on her forearm along a jutting branch too near the dig site. Addressing the tender gash with a few deliberate licks, she had little time for any proper ointments or bandaging, though it apparently needed it. She had to continue widening the small shelter she had found, which would fit her for the night with a little more work, though probably not comfortably. The stubborn Oathbone gene prevailed, and she worked harder until the shade had consumed the last golden specks of sunlight on the forest floor. The earth suddenly became the sky, and Soot collapsed in a dark heap for the moment, fainting only briefly before raising herself to a groggy sit. She had to take it easy, though presently, a bit dehydrated with a throbbing wound on her digging arm, she felt a bit confused. The reality of her vulnerable state flashed as suddenly as the lightning had, though no rain fell yet. The shade provided little cooling relief. This night would be hot and sticky, too much for the thick furred huntress. The thunder finally growled, and she licked her chops nervously. She had to continue digging.

RE: Robin Hood & Little John - Majesty - June 14, 2014

Hi! Thanks for this!

This was the closest Majesty had gotten to Silvertip Mountain since he had been chased from the territory (not counting all those times he had to go through Ravensblood Forest to get to the rest of the Wilds). He didn't know what had compelled him to go to the Heartwood. All that had ever happened here was his argument with Lecter, and that was something he didn't like thinking about. He sighed and shook his head. It looked like it was going to rain soon and the sun was going down. He seemed to have trapped himself in the woodlands, as he did not feel up to running all the way back to the Isle at night in the rain.

He went further into the Heartwood, looking for a place to bed down for the night, when suddenly he heard a hissing sound, followed by digging and scratching. Confused and intrigued, he warily approached the area where the sound was coming from, and soon enough saw a wolf digging a den in the side of a hill. And then the black she-wolf promptly sat down and looked around unsteadily. She seemed... off, and was lifting one of her paws off the ground as though she had hurt it.

He approached less warily now, his Healer instinct coming through and concern showing in his eyes. "Hello?" he said to her. "Are you all right, Miss? Are you hurt?"
