The eye of the tiger - Sunny - June 05, 2018

Oh boy! Here we go! I'm allowing one round for everyone to show up, it'll end June 9th! @Grayday @Pema @Dawn @Aliac @Shale @Aditya @Aviana @Dauntless @Spiritwalker

Walking along the southwestern part of the borders he heard the absolute strangest sound. It was like a loud, angry screaming and hissing but the animal was unknown to him. Slowly he followed the noise until he saw it, a giant feline with one hind leg mangled and twisted. It still stood awkwardly but when he approached it didn't move to leave, instead it swiped at him causing him to jump back in surprise.

His mind raced about what to do about this. This didn't exactly look like prey, but it was definitely dangerous and the thought of one of his pack members stumbling on it and getting hurt scared him. After a moment's deliberation he raised his head and called out for the pack, adding a hint of warning so they'd be careful approaching the area. Then he turned his gaze back toward the feline who hissed and growled at him, which caused Sunny to lift his own tail in dominance and snarl back.

RE: The eye of the tiger - Shale - June 06, 2018

gonna PP Aditya in my Shale posts

Sunny's howl caught his ear; it wasn't the usual friendly "come hunt!" sound he heard from the boy, but one laced with a clear warning--there was danger. Thus, he hurried a little faster than he normally would, breaking into a lope until he had his nephew in his sights. He drew to a surprised, sliding halt as his gaze shifted and he saw the big cat, injured but still a clear threat.

He drew alongside Sunny, lips curling to reveal sharp, slightly yellowed fangs. "Hopefully more than just us two show up," he remarked out of the corner of his mouth, staring down the feline. "Cats are no easy challenge." His plush coat had puffed up, making him look a lot bigger than he was. The cat spit again, but he held his ground, narrowing his gaze.

Aditya was not far behind, having heeded the urgent message in Sunny's cry. Cautiously, he approached, looking with some trepidation at the creature. He'd seen this kind of animal do serious damage before; there was no way it should be allowed to stay within the territory, even if it was danger. He deferred to Sunny and Shale, better hunters and warriors than he, casting a glance at the pair and waiting for further instructions.

RE: The eye of the tiger - Aviana - June 08, 2018

Aviana wasn't much of a fighter, but when the call rang out, she didn't ignore it. She was a part of the pack, and she considered the wolves within it her family. She got up from her resting spot and hastily made her way towards Sunny. She eyed the dangerous creature, coming to stand along side the males that had already gathered to defend the territory.

Aviana had never gone up against a cat, but by the shear looks of the claws and muscle, it didn't look like an easy task. An uneasy glance was cast towards the others, as she knew she would need to follow their lead. Her growing belly was out of place here, but Aviana didn't feel there was any excuse not to defend her family.

RE: The eye of the tiger - Sunny - June 17, 2018

It took a while but soon three others responded. It wasn't enough to make him feel comfortable completely taking on the cat. "Alright...since there's four of us and this Cat still looks fiesty I say we just chase it off. Aviana.." he turned to her and gave her expanding belly a nervous look. "Don't take this the wrong way but I think you should sit out. Your babies are too important to risk getting hurt" he said softly and turned to Shale to see if he would approve of this decision. "Aditya and me can began to try and get it to turn around. Once it does, Shale if you could lunge for the hindquarters and give it a good bite. Hopefully with three wolves biting at it, it'll turn and flee" he paid out the plan. It was risky for him and Adi, but he had faith they could do it.

RE: The eye of the tiger - Shale - June 22, 2018

Shale cast a glance at Aviana, but nodded, looking at Sunny. Aditya did much the same, sidling up to Sunny and waiting for the cue. Chasing it off made more sense than hunting it down, but Shale still hated the idea of the cat being at large. It would be better off dead. Nevertheless, the cards had been dealt, and now they had to roll with the situation.

Winding up, fur bristling, Shale prepared to lunge for the hindquarters. Aditya smiled at Sunny, though keeping one eye trained on the cougar.

RE: The eye of the tiger - Aviana - July 01, 2018

Feel free to skip Aviana. I'll have her jump back in if she decides to make a move

Aviana cast a look at Sunny, frowning at his words, but she didn't argue with him. On one side, he was correct, she was pregnant and this was dangerous. But on the other side, this cat was dangerous to all of them, and that made a difference to Aviana.

She would back down, but she would not go away. She would do her best not to involve herself in a dangerous position, but if she felt she could be of use, she might go against Sunny's advice.

RE: The eye of the tiger - Sunny - July 01, 2018

Sunny winced at Aviana's frown but was relieved when she didn't argue about the decision. He nodded to Shale and smiled at Aditya in return before nodding toward the feline. He headed toward the left side of the cat and jumped at it, snarling loudly and snapping his jaws before leaping away and circling. He nipped and bit at it's hindquafters, giving a yelp as the cat suddenly whirled around and swatted at him. He dodged and flinched, backing away but growling to keep it turned around, back facing Shale.

RE: The eye of the tiger - Shale - July 03, 2018

While Aditya and Sunny handled the cat from the front, Shale began his assault in the back, lips pulled back to reveal a snarl. The two were doing a great job at keeping it distracted, though he did worry for his nephew when the cat swatted, spitting. Shale began to nip at its hindquarters, hoping that it would become overwhelmed by the assault and run away.

After landing a particularly fierce blow, Shale was shocked as the cat spun around, hissing at him. Before he could react, the paw had struck the side of his face like lightning, leaving a slightly deep crimson gash just below his left eye, scoring his cheekbone. Ignoring the blinding pain, Shale backed up, growling, fur bristled out to its full size.

Alarmed, Aditya looked at Sunny for a brief instant, then began to attack the now turned-around cougar, hoping to keep it out of range of Shale. It certainly was putting up a fight.
