milton has an island party - Meltin’ Milton - June 05, 2018

Milton had never been to the ocean before. It was so big. His eyes were big and wide when he looked at it. Even though Milton did not know how to swim, Milton ran to the water and splashed with a smile. He barked and played. The water was so cold on his fur and he liked it. The sun had been out to make him warm but the water made him cold again and he splashed some more. Milton barked loudly and looked up at the sky. There were birds that did not chirp there. They squawked and made lots of noise. He made his ears go flat on his head so he could not hear them as much.

There was an island and Milton thought it looked fun. He tried to get closer to it but it was very far from the sand and he still did not know how to swim. Milton howled for someone to come play with him. There was so much to do and smell.

RE: milton has an island party - Reigi - June 05, 2018

AAAAAAA

Reigi had been swimming in the waters, hittin' the gym and getting swole just in case anything ever happened on this island.  There had been that scare with the Blackfeather wolves, but it had been quiet since.

Even though Stray knew this thread was for Maegi, Reigi heard the call anyway because she was the Resident Guardian, yup yup, and she waded towards the wolf because the thread was marked AW (and because she felt some kind of internal need to check on everyone that ever arrived on the island, ever).

The stranger had stirred up the gulls, she noticed, and she ducked under the water as one dove down at her.  Then she barked at the stranger, wading up onto the sand on the opposite edge of the sandbar.  Come play!

Hi! Thanks for playing!
Milton saw another wolf. She did not look like any other wolf Milton had seen before. He was scared of her at first. She could swim. Milton did not know how to swim and it was nice to see a wolf that knew. Milton barked at her and stared with his hot hot pink orbs. The shewolf invited him to play and Milton could never say no to a chance to play.

Milton bounded toward the sand where she was standing and he yapped with an excited tone. “HELLO! I’m Meltin’ Milton. Is this your island? It’s so big. Where do you hide from the birds on it? Have you lived here all your life?” Milton was very excited to meet this wolf. She was different from other wolves but if she wanted to play then Milton did not care what she looked like. He was happy she wanted to play with him. Milton wagged his tail.

Whoa, that was a lot of talking.  She kind of did one of these.  If wolves could have exaggerated sweat marks in this world, they'd be pouring off of Reigi.  Her tail straightened behind her like an exclamation point, her eyes widened considerably as her jaw just kind of dropped.

But play?  She understood that.  Her spine arced as she dipped into a play bow, head tilted to the side.

She did not answer any of his questions. She made a face instead. Milton felt like this was not nice. He frowned at her and shook his head. Did she not want to talk to him? He was very nice to talk to. He only wanted to be friends.

Even though she did not answer his questions, she did want to play still. She bowed at him and Milton smiled again. He wagged his tassel behind him. He barked happily and skipped in a circle. Milton wondered if she would not talk to him because she did not speak like he did. She did not look like a wolf. She might not have spoken the wolf tongue. Milton looked at her. Milton blinked his orbs. “Do you speak wolf? Are you a even a wolf?”
