Taki had no doubt that he would come find her if she were gone too long. She met his serious gaze, and when she was about to tell him to lighten up, he smiled and winked, causing her to laugh. Dammit, she would miss her family while she was gone. But sometimes, you had to make sacrifices to keep the ones you loved safe. Hopefully, her sacrifices would not be in vain, and she would return home with Tomkin in tow.
