Just keep moving on - Sunny - June 13, 2018 Thread 1!
After saying goodbye to Aliac he'd moved away, fearing that if he hung around Morningside much longer he'd never leave like he was told to. So he left and moved as quickly as he could for the first day or so, finding himself in the Emberwood. He sniffed around and caught the scent of a carcass, tracking it until he found it. It was a partially eaten deer carcass, with enough meat leftover that he sat down and began to fill his stomach while keeping an eye out incase whatever it was that did the killing decided to come back. RE: Just keep moving on - RIP Lainie - June 15, 2018 excuse the terribleness while I figure Lainie out!
She didn't know how long she had been on her own. At some point, the girl had realized her presence was not missed at the Sanctuary— maybe not even noticed at all. So she left. And she came to regret it.
Without the experience or knowledge to hunt anything larger, Lainie had been scraping by on the occasional rodent for months. By now she was far too thin, bedraggled because she had stopped bothering to take care of herself. Normally she'd have been embarrassed to be seen like this; presently, she was too busy starving to care. The scent of meat drew her in— but the scent of another wolf made her hesitate. Her indecision only lasted a few beats. Hunger won out, and Lainie made her approach. Maybe they would share, if she looked pitiful enough. To this end, she lowered her head and posture as the other wolf came into view— a male, big and grey. Lainie glanced to the partially eaten deer carcass and whined softly, tail tucked anxiously between her legs. Please, please be nice and share, she begged silently, too terrified of being chased off to even open her mouth. RE: Just keep moving on - Sunny - June 16, 2018 And yet there was always someone worse off than he was. He realised this when the scraggly, starved looking girl came crawling toward him eyeing the carcass. He was well off enough and honestly always too nice that he immediately wagged his tail and offered a friendly smile, moving aside so that theu could share the carcass. "Hunting not good?"" he asked in a gentle tone. He silenced himself by lowering his head to the meat and tearing into it again, still not full enough to want to risk leaving this good food so soon. It's totally fine! I understand completely how that goes!
