that sticks around like something in your teeth - Dawn - June 16, 2018

it took only a moment of thought to sort out her next task, made easy by the lack of able members in their ranks just then. she sat before calling swiftly for @Dauntless, knowing what was to come might very well not go as well as her Easthollow visit. still, the huntress could go about her duty as quickly and efficiently as possible, and knew well that undersea was high on their priority list.

she settled herself on her haunches, tail stretched out behind her as she surveyed the distant treeline, mind heavy with churning, half-formed thoughts that danced swiftly across the forefront of her mind before fading back into darkness with the same suddenness that they had come.

RE: that sticks around like something in your teeth - Dauntless - June 17, 2018

dawn's call comes as a surprise to dauntless whose steps pause as he heads towards the borders for a sweep. left ear swivels in the direction in origin as he re-directs his course. as he makes his way to his older sister several thoughts flit into focus and slowly a worry for catori and the cubs grows in his chest. in lieu of giving his mother space and time to mourn without everyone flitting about her like bees protecting their queen ( though he understands their motives and meanings are well it makes him uncomfortable and he uses this as his reasoning for not visiting right away ). perhaps catori enjoys the company and perhaps mirza will simply be seen as the awkward kid who'd been avoiding facing his mother's grief in the wake of his father's death. maybe he was.

yet, the path he takes to reach dawn does not take him to catori's den and he feels palpable relief thrum through his veins. it eases some of the tension that had taken root in his steps but it does not entirely sate it. he is still uncertain about the motive behind dawn's call and his pace slows as he approaches his sister and leader. he wasn't particularly close to her or sunny, having been much closer to his two missing sisters. dauntless stifles the rise of abandonment he feels and greets the leader before him with a respectful dip of his head and a soft and inquisitive "hey."
