It seemed she had been too stubborn.
A once well built form had withered down to barely anything. She was far too stubborn (and weak) to go seek a pack out now. She stuck to the coast line, a strange little place with trees unlike anything she had ever seen. There was no reason for being here other than no one else was.
Her body curled tightly under a palm for protection from a soft drizzle of rain. The sound would easily lull her to sleep. What a peaceful thing for a less than peaceful woman to go out to. It would not be known when or what had seized her but what would be known was that she was not going to wake up from this rainy day nap.
She was bird food now.
Or whatever hungry creature came across her.
