Hunting in the rain - Loir - July 28, 2018

Loir had decided to go on a little hunt in Dawnlark Plains with her friend Aliac, one of the comrades. Loir wanted to do some more hunting to get some food for the pack, but she knew how the new rain arriving here would cause trouble. Not too long ago, Loir had felt rain droplets landing on her black-painted(not literally painted) nose, and looked up only to notice the sky getting dark with rain clouds, something Loir disliked. This only meant prey getting wet. Damp, rain-covered prey would slightly be nasty, Loir knew it, but it would be better than nothing.
Loir checked behind her often to see if Aliac was following her, and she had then caught a scent, the smell of some elk. "Aliac, do you smell that?" She had asked, and licked her lips. "The smell of...elk." Loir then looked in the distance and noticed a herd of elk. Elk were hard to get, Loir knew, but the calves were the easy pickings, but a strategy was needed to get any elk meat in the cache of Morningside.
