we will be everything that we'd ever need - Cassiopeia - August 03, 2018

the star-touched woman had yet to return to Sunspire; yet a rabbit and bird cached somewhere in the range provided an excuse for venturing so far. freedom was still soft and new on her tongue; not just from injury, but from the looming darkness that had shadowed her for so long, culminating in the murder of her father and ending abruptly one gray dawn.

and now she was here, forelimbs submerged up to her hocks as she stood in a small pool, muzzle dipped to the water's surface, drenched almost up to her eyes. a dozen tiny pondskippers danced on the surface of the water, each a tiny burst of light as the sun reflected off them at just the right angle. cassiopeia exhaled onto the pool's surface, sending out an ever-increasing radius of ripples that had the insets scatter in every direction.

RE: we will be everything that we'd ever need - Saarthal - August 09, 2018

she had her good days and her bad days. saarthal decided easily that today was a bad day. bad, because the moment she woke up, an overwhelming wave of nausea washed over her. thoughts, as bitter and sour as the bile that rose to the back of her throat, soared to the forefront of her mind.

saarthal liked to think it was god, or the gods' sympathy that sent her along to the pond where a stranger stood. sthe girl was lean and well-built but delicate and feminine - at the very least, she was a good distraction; at most, well, maybe she was into girls, maybe saarth could get laid. now, she'd never tried gotten laid before but she was pretty sure it would prove to be the ultimate distraction. whatever. either way. a distraction. saarth needed a distraction. she needed to get out of her head. she let out a soft chuff in greeting.

"heyy - what're you doing?" a lopsided smile, tilted at its edges hung lightly on her lips as she bounded, not unlike an excited puppy, over into the pool, eager to catch a sight of the stranger's face. and no, she did not factor in the part where she had to step in water and water was wet and now her fur...- but whatever. whatever, whatever. getting wet was the ultimate goal.
