You just want somebody you can chill and get some drinks with - Ramsay - August 11, 2018

The hunt had gone well, for once. Ramsay failed more often than not, having never developed a strong foundation for hunting as a pup. There was no stability in his young life and he had spent all his time just surviving, shuffled along from one stress to the next. He had lost precious time learning the basics, so his hunting was never going to be his strong suit. He was too loud, too clumsy even now, and very conspicuous with his dark coat. He had many disadvantages when it came to stalking prey.

But today was his lucky day, for he had secured a kill without his brother's aid. It was only a thin rabbit, old and infirm from the look of it, but it was a victory nonetheless. He didn't squander it; upon finding a thicket in the heavy aspen woods in which he could enjoy the midday sun, the dwarf tore into it while it was still warm, bent nearly double so he could reach down to its upturned belly.

@Grezig. Backdated.

RE: You just want somebody you can chill and get some drinks with - RIP Grezig - August 12, 2018

Grezig had returned to the Emberwood today for lack of anything better to do. The sight she saw there disturbed her—a wolf bent in half in an attempt to eat something (she couldn’t see what because she was behind them). There was clearly something wrong with the wolf. It’s body was… She couldn’t really describe it, honestly. It looked too small, but not like a runt—like it’s proportions were off. Unable to keep her prejudiced mouth shut, she stared openly at the male and said, “What… the hell?” Great way to make friends, Grezig. But no one in her family had taught her things like… being nice to those with clear disabilities. In her pack, such a pup would have been killed upon birth. She just continued standing and staring. Whether he turned to confront her was up to him.

Ramsay's ears snatched back when a loud voice broke the forest's silence. He was quick to rise from his stoop and even quicker to spin in place and fix the new arrival with an impassive, vaguely accusing stare. For a wolf as disfigured as Ramsay, he hadn't gotten nearly as many comments on his appearance was one might expect; he was far from used to it. His true feelings on the matter remained masked, as they always were, behind a facade of neutrality, but the crinkle in his muzzle could as easily be taken for offense. He slung one paw over the half eaten hare and stared down the barrel of his muzzle at Grezig.

And after several beats of just that, he issued a low warning growl from his throat that bid her to leave him be. The dwarf wasn't prepared to shrug off her judgments and move along himself; her exclamation had ruined his good day.

He did turn to face her, but his anger, as far as she could tell, was more about protecting his food than about her comment. She forced her body to relax and looked at him with a blank expression. “I do not want your food,” she said clearly, and then turned to walk away.  Grezig herself was extremely territorial about her food. She understood the feeling. It was summer and she was not starving, so she would not fight another wolf—even one so deformed—over a scrap of meat. She could hunt on her own later if she wished, or bring Liri and Kavik along if she cared for larger game.

In turning her back on the male, she had opened herself for attack, if he were depraved enough to do that. She did not think he would, or she would not have done so. If all went according to plan, she would soon be back with the group at the base of Mount Apikuni.

[Exit unless stopped.]

Sorry for the potentially short-ass thread! I’m just doing what Grezig would do lol. If a battle should occur, I would prefer dice roll and only minor injuries, since this thread is backdated and a major fight would not fit into her timeline now.
