The Death of Every Darkness - Tomkin - August 16, 2018 Set on Sunday, August 12, 2018 @Mawk This might get a bit interesting. Let's do this!
Trotting along the upturned rocks and soil, the broad shouldered wolf's eyes scanned in front of him, yet his thoughts ran on what he had left behind. The peak still called to him, but he pushed on, his restless nature shoving him into newer territory. He was on alert, which distracted him from his siblings and the nightmares which had plagued him in the recent weeks. Muscles tensed, his senses were sharp this morning as his paws depressed the dirt into the earth. His tail swished, a small smile resting on his face as the excitement of the feeling of freedom coursed through him. He loved the feeling, and the respite from the thoughts and nightmares gave him some of the bounce back in his step. It was a warm day, yet his fur had thinned out, showing his lack of food. No bones were showing, but no extra fat was anywhere on his body, his fur rippling with long muscles as he kept moving, leaving him almost with a coyote look, although much larger. Swiveling his ears, the jut in the ground was quiet, which he had gotten used to and almost love. The feeling of the warm dirt on his paws was comforting, something different, something new, something strange. He loved traveling, almost needed it, and knowing he was somewhere he had never been before gave him what he needed: a distraction. He stopped and looked around for a moment before the lean wolf continued, his tail swinging from side to side.
RE: The Death of Every Darkness - Mawk - August 16, 2018 Not the best of posts but <33
Mawk didn't often wander like he once did. Traipsing the land freely, with nothing to tie him down was something he greatly missed, but he could not bear to leave behind the life he now lived, no matter how many hardships he may face. There were many wolves he wished would come back to him, though. The summer heat licked at his face, and the man grumbled to himself as he strolled across the land in search of nothing in particular. It was noon now, and the sun beat down brutally - hopefully it would grow cooler in the evening.
His eyes landed on a figure not too far off in the distance, and the cream scout exhaled softly through his nose before padding closer to shorten the distance between them. Perhaps a conversation could help him relax. RE: The Death of Every Darkness - Tomkin - August 16, 2018 That's ok! I'm just glad to be back in the game, so to speak. :) Stopping to lick the hurting back right hip, he stood and shook, wincing slightly as the muscles pulled. He started back to walking, limping a bit. Hearing another creature, his head came up sharply. It didn't take long to see the...wolf? He blinked, but the sight didn't go away. It looked like a wolf, but the tail seemed broken. Chuffing, he tilted his head a bit before slowly stepping forward, curiousity on his face as he tried to figure out exactly what he was. The male looked almost scruffy, and the frosted with black wolf sniffed a bit more. He definitely wasn't up from where he had lived.
You probably don't understand, so I'm going to try your language...hopefully we can get somewhere. He knew a bit more of their language than most of his siblings, but it still felt weird when it came out of his mouth, so he spoke slowly and watched the other wolf, hoping he understood. His speech was on the edge of being broken, but came out smoothly. Name is Tomkin. You? RE: The Death of Every Darkness - Mawk - September 03, 2018 He was pleased the male showed no signs of aggression at the scout's approach, paws finally slowing to a stop once he was within speaking distance. However, Mawk's head titled at the odd words spilling from the stranger's tongue after he arrived, eyes glimmering curiously. He'd heard very few languages spoken around him beside his own, so the foreign sound was... intruiging, to say the least. Soon, much to the man's relief, however, familiar words reached his ears, though they were a little broken. "My name is Mawk. Pleasure to meet you."
