I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door - Cassiopeia - August 22, 2018 for @Aries
the woman eyes a kill that lies splayed in the branches above her, gutted and lacking a head and a limb. whatever's left could provide something for the pack, perhaps, but it is too high to attempt any kind of scavenging. still, the prey has her consider what else may lurk in the wood that smells so thickly of cat. cassiopeia scans the treetops as she slips through the wood, finding here and there signs of a kill, hoisted high, but nothing within her reach. still she continues, if nothing else the solitude beneath the canopy allows her time to think. RE: I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door - Aries - August 22, 2018 They'd be departing from Blackfeather very soon - at least for now. Once he returned he would group up with Nyx and then Damien, then together they would head out to find more to follow their cause. Aries himself was not all that bothered with the change, for his loyalties lay primarily to the dark wolfess (and now the man she accompanied), but it would be strange to leave the borders of the home he'd known for the majority of his life without the title of a Blackfeather wolf.
The reaper had taken it upon himself to take one last wander around the land surrounding the territory itself before they left - despite knowing full well it was likely they would return and reclaim the land. He'd been wrapped up in his thoughts when he caught scent of someone... almost familiar, tainted with a scent he vaguely remembered - the one Nara had carried on her pelt. But this was not Nara, of that he was certain. With a hint of curiousity, the young man prowled toward the owner of the scent before pausing in his steps. Ah. His... dear sister. It had been a prolonged expanse of time since their last encounter (which, he remembered, was not on positive terms), but perhaps something could change now. They'd both changed, evolved into seperate characters with seperate lives, but regardless they were still of the same blood (that had not forgiven Dakarai, though). With this in mind, Aries began to stalk closer until he was within speaking distance; he made sure not to delve too close. He opened his jaws to speak her name in greeting, stoic as he always was. "Cassiopeia." RE: I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door - Cassiopeia - August 22, 2018
if anything she had grown to match her brother in his stoicism, at least at times. when he called her name she stilled and twisted her muzzle toward him. "brother." her voice was an echo of his, and her crown inclined a fraction as she surveyed him. she was all that she had not been upon their last meeting - composed, still, regarding him not with hate but with interest. she has questions, questions that burn at her tongue as she waits in silence for him to offer more. memories fill the rear of her mind, of their last meeting. something dark and long thought buried shifts, and a dark shard of irony has her muzzle shift into a small smile, regarding her brother now with quiet intensity. RE: I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door - Aries - September 12, 2018 Sorry about the wait on this!
His body stilled, gaze lingering on his sibling's features in mild curiousity - there was no loathing in her eyes as there had been before, no spark of displeasure erupting from her chest at his arrival. He wasn't sure what he had expected from this encounter (he hadn't quite envisioned it to occur at all), but it was not to see traces of a smile curl cassiopeia's muzzle. The soldier regarded her with a look serious and plegmatic as always yet with the faintest hints of inquisitiveness sparkling in his eyes of ice.
"...How have you been?" He enquires, not quite certain how she would form an answer. It was odd, really, how he had encountered each member of his family again (minus sirius, whom he had virtually no memory of) across various locations in the teekon without having searched for them. As though instinct had just brought them together, his paws working on their own to escort him to where his sister now stood before him in silence. |
