You looked at death in a tarot card - Titmouse (Ghost) - September 07, 2018 Continued from here.
He had all but collapsed beside his rescuer, feeling the thunder of his heart thrumming wildly in his chest and then, as he tried to stand, the weakness everywhere else. They rested together for a while; the stranger spoke sweetly to him and he felt comfort, but was too addled by the entire experience through the underworld to dare let himself fall asleep. Eventually, with @Shisu's aid, the broken boy was escorted through the meadow and across the threshold of the forest's dark edge. Once within the territory his trembling limbs gave out again, and he resorted to pleading voicelessly at his companion for help. RE: You looked at death in a tarot card - Relmyna - September 07, 2018 her patrol brought to her the sound of a wordless voice. in the near distance, the listener's ears swept forward; she traced the tonality. it did not belong to a wolf of blackfeather, and thus relmyna saw fit to lengthen her stride and approach. the cloud-beautiful shisu's scent rose, entangled with the awareness of another.
it was truly a twisted creature that had been brought to their borders. seeing no reason to posture before the pair, she nevertheless made her presence known and glanced between the two of them questioningly. the reek of fear and of bear flared her nostrils with a brief bristle of the delicate hairs upon her nape. and the boy alongside shisu was a scarred and wretched thing, blanched white and half-eyed. reminded of the inkwraith that had come to their gates, relmyna neverthless looked to the other woman now, querying for an explanation. RE: You looked at death in a tarot card - Shisu - September 07, 2018 'Oh gosh, what do I do?' Earlier events led Shisu finding an unknown, ghostly wolf in a pit. He was weakened, scarred, and seemed almost too broke to speak. All she offered so far was a few warm words, trying to console the wolf. She could not leave someone in this state, but they couldn't stay in the area that caused such a disturbance to him. There was hesitation on what the silver wolf should originally do, because she wasn't sure if it was alright to bring an unknown man to Blackfeather Woods. Though her guilt and warmth overcame the hesitation, and thus begun their journey to home.
She felt he would do better in a safe location to be looked over. The wolf could find appropriate herbs for Mou, something like Chamomile to ease his nerves. Though Shisu somewhat struggled in the escort, as her stamina and strength was not the best. When he started to fall, she quickly offered her support to the weakened wolf, "Oh no, are you okay?" the lass worriedly asked. However she then shifted her gaze to look toward the territory, noticing that another was approaching. There was a sense of relief that came from Shisu, as she noticed it was a Packmate. Though she could see this wolf had an air of cautiousness, only assuming it came due to her bringing an unknown wolf, "uhm. I found him, trapped in a pit... He needed help, and, uhm," her words came out rushed and panicky, 'oh gosh' she thought before continuing, "it didn't feel, right to leave him there." Rather sloppily, she pulled her reasoning toward Relymna's questioning look. RE: You looked at death in a tarot card - Titmouse (Ghost) - September 07, 2018 Perhaps it was his delerium induced by his flight through the dark caves, but when the pale stranger approached and began to investigate him and Shisu, Mou could only think one thing — Maegi. This stranger looked so much like his friend that he almost murmured, M'gee!but instead, as he opened his mouth, he gasped like a fish out of water and pressed against Shisu for comfort. His limbs trembled, but he wasn't afraid. Maybe he should have been. The girl spoke and tried to clarify things, and Mou looked at her with unhindered fondness, knowing he was indebt to this kind soul in the same way he was indebted to Undersea. H'lo,he gasped, trying a greeting and hearing the grating tone of his voice across his dry throat. He should be conserving what little strength he had left, but he implored the pale woman with an intense one-eyed look, Please help me, please, let me stay. RE: You looked at death in a tarot card - Relmyna - September 07, 2018 a prodigal child; trapped; traumatized. relmyna drew her gaze from shisu's worried features to the naked and imploring look upon the boy's face. hello, the she-wolf mouthed back. presently on quiet paws she approached, studying more closely the scarring along the stranger's body.
the bear? relmyna expressed next, her turquoise eyes resting on shisu again. while there was a great deal of warmth within her heart for the soft actions of her packmate, blackfeather was small and resources must be preserved for the upcoming winter. a shattered boy was of little use, but neither could her mother's spirit turn such a terrified creature away. still, she must know, and waited for the other woman to answer. RE: You looked at death in a tarot card - Shisu - September 07, 2018 "I-Its okay," while she wanted to reassure the fellow, Shisu still managed to stammer, "I'm here." She coo'd to Mou, but there was no hiding the usual anxious nature of the silver dame. She worried on how he would do, or even what to do with him... Would she be able to shelter him? There was little thought of what would particularly happen to her for bringing a stranger, she valued a life more then a punishment.
When looking at Relymna, her head nodded to the side questioning, "a bear..?" Shisu wasn't sure why it appeared in conversation, she doesnt even know what it is. For never personally seeing one, nor knowing its scent, she had no idea that the male had brought the musk over with him. She only assumed he smelled odd, and paid no attention. There was no reason to ask when one is in such a fright. RE: You looked at death in a tarot card - Titmouse (Ghost) - September 07, 2018 Short! But IDK what to do with him since he cannot talk.
The two strangers were conversing, and he could see the look of concern that passed between them. Mou wished he could explain; but there was very little he could say, even if he had the ability, for his tired mind was in a perpetual state of shock. When the topic turned to bears the boy ducked and cowered against the ground, reacting without thinking, and remained there as if he was alone and the darkness of the forest would protect him. Mou relented eventually, not exactly calming but he didn't have the energy to cower the way that he was. His body went slack, and he found himself thinking of Maegi and of Sithis and of the way the monster had asked for his name — so his mind dwelled a little bit too long in the memory of the caves, and he murmured thoughtlessly, Sssithisss.. Sih... Sihh... Sithis,as if it were a prayer that kept him safe. RE: You looked at death in a tarot card - Relmyna - September 09, 2018 small powerplay <3
relmyna turned from shisu at the sound the boy made; her ears swept forward in a tremble. sithis. how had he come to know the name of the dread prince? surely he was blessed; surely it was no chance that he had ended here upon blackfeather's doorstep. and yet she was wary. drawing forward, the priestess reached her lip-torn muzzle to nose through the boy's trembling guardhairs.
he smelled of nothing she knew, save for shisu herself — relmyna glanced to her packmate and then to the boy. tilting her head in the direction of redgrove, she began to step away, intending that the cloud-wolf bring forth their new charge to her densite, where she could inspect him further. RE: You looked at death in a tarot card - Shisu - September 09, 2018 She was bewildered on his sudden cowering, not understanding the fear behind the word 'bear.' Shisu pressed her thick fur against him in a hope to comfort, as the white lad muttered a name she did not understand. Yet, Relymna reacted to the name. Was it something important? The silver newcomer did not understand of the forest dark secrets, she was unaware of any Gods or Dieties they worshiped.
Shisu nodded her head in understanding to what her Packmate directions were, "o-ok!" Thus she tried to nudge the ghostly male forward to follow. She felt her body sigh in relief that he was not turned away, and instead taken deeper into their territory. She was glad that they could help give him treatment- unaware if there was any othe motive to bringing him in. |
