Now we are ready to sail for the Horn - Norsamu - September 08, 2018

After a brief encounter with a wolf who offered rum, Norsamu found herself daydreaming on the luxurious drink, wishing for some more. He had mentioned the blend to be fermented fruit, but with her limited knowledge; she had no idea what that meant, "such a shame, ah!" the maned wolf dramatically yelled out to the sea in her exaggerated anguish. It was truly such a shame! She could only hope in the future she would meet an Ironsea wolf, perhaps then they could share the secrets of the delicious nectar.

In the mean time, she went back to her usual wandering. The wolf spent a few while in the land, but so far she stuck to the coast of Teekon Wilds. She was slowly making her way up, seeing all the different area's the sea offered to the land. Her heavy paws striked against the sand as she made her way around the beach, occasionally bending her neck to take a whiff in. Her dark nose slowly made it's way to the salty waters, Norsamu curiously looked into it, "aye, what does the waves offer!?"

Her last words before jumping into an incoming wave. It was a thankful moment the white maned female was still relatively close to the shallows, for her legs sunk into the sea, but the rest of her body still could stand above the waters. Though the question stood; what was she doing?

These shores had lulled him into staying just a bit longer. The waters soothed him to sleep with their nighttime songs, the tides offered him plenty of pickings to fill his belly, and the open terrain allowed him to see others coming from a distance. Perfect for selectively avoiding the company of strangers when he wanted to, or hunting them down... Like today...

Astute ears picked up the shouts of the unknown female, and for a moment Khan watched from his subtle distance in amusement. Ah yes. Strange women screaming at the ocean's lapping waves - what else did one do on their days off? That alone was enough to bring Khan closer to what he hoped would become an engaging conversation with an enthralling she-wolf. But as he approached casually from behind, she seemed to continue in her efforts to assault the seas... by... shouting some more...

Oh. And jumping into its waves. Ah yes, the obvious solution. A bout of laughter burst forth from the lone male, teeth splitting and his chest all but seizing in a hysterical fit of cackling. He soon leaped after the stranger into the waters, feeling the sticky saltwater cling to his furs as the waves crashed against him. "Damn smelly seas!" If they were venting their utmost concerns, he wanted in on it.

Paws splashed haphazardly, knowing he could stand well enough in the waters but he felt a need to be all dramatic about it. Perhaps it was the company. Copper-orange eyes flashed over to the female, and with his wicked grin wide he'd holler, "These here waters fuck ya over too?" Classic conversation starter - check.

The white maned rogue was surprised another wolf suddenly joined in her mischief toward the sea. However that feeling was quickly replaced with amusement as Norsamu followed in his laughter with her own barbarous, boisterous cackle. Of course with such a laugh, seawater swept in her mouth, wasting no time to take revenge at her. However, she continued her laughter while suffering this salty taste.

"Nay and aye mate," she disagreed, but oddly then agreed, "they fuck me over, but in return I'll steal their treasures!" The reason she jumped in was not for the fit of anger toward the sea, which has at times crashed against her in madness. She more was after what was in the waters! As an example, her large paws dipped into the waters and wildly splashed at it. She was swiping toward the bottom near the sand, her paws trying to catch something; anything, "Like this my brother!" Norsamu's paw breached the water, but not alone. While it was only in the air for a moment, something else appeared above alongst with her black and white paws; a single crab. It was quite plain though, as well as a small critter, and she made no attempt to snatch it in her maw. It simply went back into the waters with a 'plop.' That wasn't a prize worthy to be brought up. Something big and glorious, be it a shiny red crab or a luxurious shell; she wanted it.

Yay... but nay??? Gods what was this chick rambling about?

But her enthusiasm was contagious and despite his momentary 'what in the everliving fuck' moment, Khan found himself cackling alongside her. Waves pulled and crashed against the two, but with the sun beaming down on them it did little to soak their spirits. He all but lost his shit when she ended up with a mouthful of seawater, and honestly had to hold back a gagging reflex at the thought of the heavy, bitter taste.

Ears perked at the mention of treasure, and his belligerent and thoughtless energy ebbed just a tad in order to give this female his full attention. Burning eyes scanned the rolling, waving waters around the two, hoping to see the glistening of some shiny objects beneath the surface. Her splashes brought him back to, and with a terrible smirk he watched as she kicked up a crab above the waters. Tongue lulled sloppily from his jaws as he snapped at it in the air, only to miss and watch it slip back in.

"Don't mind if I help m'self, sister..." Siblings or whatever, she'd basically showed him the route to a dinner and a show, he'd take advantage of it. With a wild bout of laughter the male lunged up and straight back down into the waters, feeling the cold biting at him as his eager, snapping jaws sought out the crunch of the fleeing crustaceans. With one in his jaws, he felt his chest tighten before he found his way up to the air, inhaling deeply through clenched teeth.

"feck y'know some fine dining locations--" His words of gratitude were muffled through a mouth full of his soon-to-be dinner. His body bobbed in the waters, along with hers, for a solid few seconds before he realized... there was no way he could really eat this without returning to shore. But what about the treasures she mentioned... were there others aside from this meager meal?

"'nythin' else?" What did you bring for the class today?

"Right?" The lass laughed as he squabled up some of the fresh treasure that scuttled around the waters. They surely will be a fine meal once on shore. Some locations always held their own secrets; some held the beauty at dawn, the wonder of the stares, the taste of gems, but other were simple fine in a luxury dinner. Though the sea was often difficult in that particular department, Norsamu's tongue lapped at her maw and tasted the nausaus salt of the waters. She even swallowed some earlier, she could bet her stomach would not do good later. Ah, if only she had that rum she had earlier to wash it all down! Maybe the lass will shed some manly tears later for such a loss... Though she could never do that in front of this new mate- he seems like a swell man. Gotta make good impressions, aye?

The white maned wolf thought for a moment, "have ya heard of the merfolk tears? Lots of shit 'bout them, but they say em' tears are colorful shards that wash on shore." Her definition of treasures come in many different ways. Norsamu sometimes simply hunts for the 'beaut of the scene, or the gold of a cavern. She always seems to follow 'rumors' or even 'lores,' and finding the true treasure behind the words. It was what her past mates used to do, they didn't seem to look for particular treasure, but they kept following rumors and stories of such a place, hoping the area really contains treasure. They didn't really find a scenary all that refreshing, those lads preferred materialisic goods... Such as this rumor supposedly has. She don't remember if they ever found a mermaid's tear, if they did it was before she was old enough to be even born.

"S'posedly ya find them on beaches. Such a shame can't seem to find, ah!" She dramatically sighed to the skies in anguish, as there seemed to be no sparkle within the sands. Though as the emotion was exaggerated, it changed into a laughter, as she simply cackled at the situation rather then be actually sad. How lame would that be? Though not a shine or an unusual color was spotted, so where could the merfolk tears be hiding? Maybe those damn sharkwolves took them. Ain't a lot of information on those seawolves, but where else was the wolf supposed to put blame? Her wicked thoughts toward an innocent bunch seemed to anger the sea once more, as the tides smacked at her mouth, giving a taste of the 'delicious and refreshing' sea. If her stomach doesn't die later from all the ingested salt, she will be in fact either finding rum, or using every little brain power she has to make it.

"Also em' rum... Wolves on the shores shared a mighty drink before bein' slaughtered. Sounds like a refreshing time away from these waters. Ah, that is a treasure i'd take any day."

Merfolk tears? What in the hells were those? Ears perked up as much as they could considering the near-constant battering of bobbing waves, but it would suffice to say this girl had caught Khan's attention. As she continued to explain, a burning zeal swelled in his chest, his lips splitting into a knowing and more greedy sneer than joyous. He turned slowly and made his way toward the shallower waters, so that he could easily enough stand and inspect the waters below him, in front of him, all along the shoreline.

"Well I ain't seein' any o'them tears," Disappointment hung on every syllable, "What'sa chance they hidin' somewhere else?" He was a brute with simple, expensive tastes, and surly the shinies would more than satiate his needs. Eyes burning scanned up and down, and for the brief moment they glanced back, he caught the sights of this girl being face-slammed with another bout of seawater. Khan chortled at her misfortune, shaking his head in what was probably pity.

With more questions about these merfolk tears lined up on his tongue, the male found himself biting it as the girl continued, this time about something called rum. He stared at her with a questioning look - these things... she speaks as though he knows them. "Th'fuck is rum?" Water was all one needed to drink, what the hell could seafaring beasts be so determined to slurp up? "Did it kill 'em?" If rum led you to a gruesome death, it was something he figured he was better off without.

"Know quite a bit 'bout them here sea legends... who th'hell are you?" And where did you learn those secrets?

RE: Now we are ready to sail for the Horn - Norsamu - September 12, 2018

She followed along on getting closer to the shoreline, her sunset gaze watching the waves pull the sand into its depths. She could see the pebbles that have yet to be grained to micro bits, but they were not the beauties they hoped, "wherever the sea may be, be a merfolk cryin'. Those bastards only live in the depth of the waves. Tricky n' ones that ain't never appearing to simple folk." Norsamu cackled, as she recited the few pieces she knew about them. Lore was a rather speciality on her part, she can't count how much her adopted family kept spewing on legends. She too fell in love with the tales, and followed along their path as shown through her travels. She grew hungry for more tales and rumors to be discovered.. She could see his gaze burned with greed, and only grinned at his desire. She too felt similar. Perhaps they had the same goals but different means to get them. So far he felt like good company.

"Nay, its the delicious drink of fermented fruit! Give ya a buzz like when ya eat one of those fruits that cause ya to swirl. Wolves on this land created such a grand drink! Aye, truly a feast." She had clung to that small hope he knew what it was, only for the dream to be dropped. Truly seemed that only those Ironsea wolves knew about it and the secrets to making, and this brute does not seem to be one of them. Who the hell knows what fermented means besides those particular wolves? Ah, shame!

"Aye? I be named Norsamu," she opened her maw in a grin, "just a wee' lass chasin' rumors and legends!" The white maned wolf loudly laughed while introducing herself, she glanced at him through the midst of the laughter, "n' you my brother? What does a man like ya' doin' around these waters?"
