phantom of borrowed life - Shisu - October 09, 2018 set in wispmother grotto
Her days have been filled with unusual ease and a natural routine of periodic walks. Though she stepped with caution, often avoiding to where the black feathered birds were located. She managed to avoid them so far, after meeting a dark prince whome shook them off long ago. Shisu felt more calm once she managed to find places to avoid. However she couldn't shake off the feeling someone was always watching her... Despite no crows being in sight, the feeling would not flee. She once more, got lost. The plush dame never truly explored the depths of the Blackfeather Woods due to anxiety, and time had passed since her joining, and she still could not figure it out. However, more she hesitated to. The crows, the darkness, the eerie silence that was disrupted by caws, she has trouble going deeper. This day she seemed to take the wrong turn, and ended in a different swamp like place... At first Shisu saw a thick fog cover majority of the area from afar, and was tempted to turn away. The heavens said otherwise, and cleared once she got closer out curiosity... She could have swore she saw something blue? Her siamese paws unconsciously went forward to the strange sight, and before she knew it the white clouds dissipated, revealing the scene before her. Shisu looked wide-eyed at the beauty, but at the same time she was fearful. They danced, and they shined brightly in the swamp. As they played toward the music, she only gawked toward them. What could produce such unknown wisps? The silence overwhelmed her, but when the odd sounds of nature tuned in, she felt a shiver creep up. The mysterious beauty was nerving, "what is this place.." RE: phantom of borrowed life - Averna - October 11, 2018 From behind the spirit approached the wolf who stood in wonder. She was a beast of duality herself, the spirit could tell, with the white and grey mixed together yet so separate from one another. Nothing like the spirit, the wispy gangly half-year-old with her scrawny fur made of the purest white. She shone in the darkness of the forest, and stark white eyes to match her coat stared straight into the souls of others. Even though the question had been posed to none in particular, the spirit that had approached from behind halted not far from the white-and-grey and answered the given question. "The home of spirits." Her posture remained neutral for the toiling of wolves did not matter much to the pale child; she was one foot in the spirit realm, after all, so why should she care of earthly matters such as who dominated who? RE: phantom of borrowed life - Shisu - October 12, 2018 Shisu momentarily jolted by the arrival of one smaller then herself. A curious blue gaze slowly turned to meet a ghostly white, unaware that the white pup was related to the small black terror she faced many weeks before. Like herself, she stood out from the darkened woods. The two pale and light figures stood within the Blackfeather Woods, watching what one called spirits.
The silver fae dipped her head to the the side and repeated at what the other said, "spirits..?" She knew of them, she knew the types of them as well. The spirits of nature itself, the spirit of ancestors (which often goes along with the spirits of nature) and the dark ones. Consumed in sin, Shisu hoped these beautiful blue wisps were not of that kind, "are they... from mother nature?" She inquired, eyes retracting back to the ghostly orbs in wonder. RE: phantom of borrowed life - Averna - October 23, 2018 The pale child stared at the taller wolf for a moment. She nodded as the questioning came of what the pale spirit had said. Spirits? Yes. Upon the question, the child grinned toothily and rather than answering the question with a yes or no took to answering the question behind the actual question: "We are from the Night Mother." The pale child knew she was not just a child. She was with one paw in the spirit world and one paw in the here and now, talking to this wolf. All these spirits present now were only further proof of this. She stared at their dancing, feeling a kinship and a belonging when she was here. RE: phantom of borrowed life - Shisu - October 28, 2018 "W-We? Night Mother?" She didn't understand this ghostly, and mysterious child. Shisu was unaware of the Blackfeather Woods Gods and Goddess's, that she did not know of Night Mother, and only continued to tip her head in questioning. Her gaze followed and watched the blue wisps in a curiosity, and back at the pup. There was various of questions that came to the plush fae's mind, and she couldn't ask them all at once. Rather, she did not know if she asked, would she get an answer? Mind was drawn toward the 'we,' as a thought came to be. Was she near the Willow..? Was this pup from her imagination?
Shisu was entranced by the spirits, but she also worried if this was all in her mind. She anxiously glanced at the white, small figure, and the wolves. The thought process was distracting her from what was before her. RE: phantom of borrowed life - Averna - October 31, 2018 From the look on her face the spirit could see that she had this wolf right where she wanted her. The ghost child grinned broadly in a sinister way as every word she had just spoken was pulled into question. "The night mother created us," she repeated, though giving no answers. "She created us and she guides us." The spirit child wandered closer to the dancing spirits up ahead, closer to the other wolf, the scaredy cat. Then, as she was close to the other wolf, her pale fur and haunting eyes illuminated by the spirits, she stopped in her tracks. The pale child turned her head towards the other and wondered out loud, all impish expression suddenly fallen from her face which fell blank: "I wonder why she guided us to you." RE: phantom of borrowed life - Shisu - November 09, 2018 While she didn't want to admit, Shisu was getting a bit frightened over this ghostly child. They had this.. Unusual, and unsettling feeling toward them that she didn't want to think about, as they were someone young. The thought process she had that all who were pups, were innocent, and one cannot simply put a label on them on which side they so to choose. Though she couldn't help feel bothered by the one who stood below her, who continued on about the unknown Night Mother.
She was like a Goddess, so Shisu thought. Similar to her own belief, of Mother Nature, who created all, and guide us. The plush wolf didn't place her own beliefs before the other, for she thought it was rude, and the other already held belief at such a young age, she must hold devotation toward the Night Mother. Believe you who want to believe, as they grant one faith and hope during times of stress and sorrow. But the one who guides this pup brings a mysterious air, who roped Shisu into it, "u-us?" Her baby blues gave a cautious look around, and slowly continued to settle back onto the wisps. Did she mean those..? RE: phantom of borrowed life - Averna - November 13, 2018 The pale child had the other exactly where she wanted. At her mercy, not sure what to believe anymore, not sure what was real and not. There was a devious smirk on the child's face that mirrored that feeling of superiority, of winning this game they were playing. Scaredy Cat repeated her word in a stammer and then slowly turned her gaze towards the wisps. All the spirit did was nod in Scaredy Cat's direction, the smug grin fallen off her face again now as she tried to put on her best act once again. She believed about half of what she was selling anyway, which really helped with keeping up her act. Other than the grim nod, she did nothing, curious to see how else Scaredy Cat might react -- or not react. RE: phantom of borrowed life - Shisu - November 23, 2018 The poor plushed fae was even more confused when the other seemed smug. She did not know she entered some sort of game, and oblivious as she was, she felt uncomfortable by the presence of the white young one, and by the wisps. Her baby blues glanced behind, and glanced at Averna as she stayed in silence despite an earlier inquiery.
"U-Uhm," Shisu was a coward, "I think... We should, go back?" The unease had set in long before, but only now did she speak up upon leaving, and maybe going back. Hopefully, with her too. RE: phantom of borrowed life - Averna - November 27, 2018 It did not surprise the pale child that Scaredy Cat would try to weasel her way out of this, but it did surprise her to find out that she wanted to take the spirit with her. Well, if she really was talking about herself and the spirit when she said 'we', anyway, or if there were other entities or some sort of entitlement to call themselves 'we'. Rather than respond, the spirit sat down slowly and pointedly stared Scaredy Cat down. |
