i heard he lives down a river somewhere - Terance - October 15, 2018

this is forward dated ONE WEEK from now, for October 21st, to allow users to establish a timeline between the leaving and arrival date.
this is sunspire's arrival to lost creek hollow! welcome home, wolves! <3 @Rannoch @Liffey @Treason @Wraen @Maia @Rueger @Malice @Hyacinth @Coelho @Breccan @Deshyr @Pyro @Cassiopeia @Witchbaby @Remi @Wisp @Nara

rannoch had called out as soon as they were in earshot. terance and treason trekked to meet the rest of the pack halfway, greeting their fellow packmates within the borders that they had been marking. so this was home. soon enough, sunspire would be entirely settled into a pack called an entirely different name. it was nerve-wracking, sure, but terance was ready for another fresh start. the hollow would provide for him what sunspire once had.

he looked around to his subordinates, gaze resting on his sister. with a heavy heart, terance began his announcement: "many of you know that wraen will be stepping down and taking her leave from our ranks--" he paused to let the wolves take that in, hoping wraen had told everyone by now, and if she hadn't... well, cats outta the bag. he continued, "treason will be taking her spot beside me as beta of the hollow." and then with a broad roll of his shoulders, terance tacked on one last thing, "welcome home-- make yourself comfortable, make sure we start filling caches and marking borders as soon as we can." his gaze scanned the clearing once more-- if there were any interjections about treason he'd hear them out (but not really, terance was too stubborn to change his mind about his pick of partners), and then revealed a small smirk.

and without any further delay, terance glanced at rannoch, who took over from there, tilting his head back and howling the song of the pack. moments after, terance followed, and soon enough, the rest of the pack.

RE: i heard he lives down a river somewhere - Hyacinth (R.I.P) - October 15, 2018

The journey had been one that wasn't too bad but it had saddened her a bit. It was the first home where she hadn't been looked down upon or hurt in some way. In fact, Sunspire had encouraged her to become better in her skill as a healer and she had been taught how to do better with the social aspect of it too. Her part in the journey wasn't major but she had managed to give those who wanted them herbs to boost energy to keep them going. When they finally arrived at the new territory she sniffed around for a while before coming back to the group in time to hear Terance speak. She listened quietly and had nothing to disagree with, she didn't know Treason enough to have any feelings about the decision. "Congratulations Treason" she voiced loudly unsure if the female was even around. When Rannoch lifted his muzzle to begin the claiming howl, she raised hers and joined in.

RE: i heard he lives down a river somewhere - Arbiter - October 15, 2018

Honestly, she was glad it was over.  The waiting around had grated on her nerves pretty awful, but since things were finally winding down and entering this new phase of... Whatever would be appropriate.  Pack life maybe?  Something.  Whatever it was, she was just glad things were going to shift back towards something predictable, even if a few things had changed.  And now she was officially beta, and with Wraen gone, things were also looking less annoying to her.  That didn't mean she really had anything to say, though, merely dipping her head when recognized.

Of course, she too joined in the howl.  Though in the back of her mind she had to wonder if this would be an ongoing thing.  She had met the wolves of Sunspire as they were going to found their new home, and there she had helped, and now not even a year later they had relocated across the region.  Would it happen again or were they actually going to stay put this time?  Perhaps there was some sort of built-in wanderlust she just didn't really have.

RE: i heard he lives down a river somewhere - Rueger - October 16, 2018

Rueger, being a newer member of Sunspire, did not have the connection to the territory like the others might have. So, when the day came to move, he left without a backwards glance to their former home. He travelled in the back of the pack, bringing up the rear. He made sure no wolf fell too far back, and certainly was not left behind.

His tail waved softly at his hocks when they arrived at their new home. Easthollow was just a stone's throw away from here. He would make sure the pack was settled in, and then go pay a visit to their new neighbor. His attention turn to Terance as he spoke, telling them of the change in leadership. He had been surprised when Wraen announced her departure, but he did not dwell, and he had no qualms about Treason taking her place.

When the howls started, Rueger lifted his own maw to the sky and joined in as the pack claimed their new home.

RE: i heard he lives down a river somewhere - Maia - October 16, 2018

Maia followed eagerly enough for the journey, but she shifted uncomfortably when Terance announced Wraen's departure, guilt probably written all over her face.  She hadn't spoken with him directly yet, and didn't know if he knew she'd be leaving too.  She hadn't brought herself to talk to anyone about it yet.

Unfun conversations were the worst, honestly.

She didn't join in on the claim, and instead looked around, feeling guiltily like a traitor now that the time was coming.  She was excited, oh heck yes! But also.... oogh.  She really needed to talk to Terance once this was done.

feel free to skip!  She's lurking.  Imma make us a thread I think for after ^^

RE: i heard he lives down a river somewhere - Breccan - October 17, 2018

The journey had been mostly unremarkable, but it was still fascinating to Breccan. He had tagged along with his parents, sticking close as they traversed through unfamiliar territories, but his eyes had been wide and had taken in each detail of the terrain. Somewhere deep inside him, a yearning began to stir, perhaps passed down from his maternal grandmother and kindled now by this adventure. Though he was still young, he wanted to see it all; before now, he hadn't realized how much there was beyond the Sunspire's borders.

He would have to build up his stamina, though; his biggest complaint as they arrived at what would be their new home was that his feet hurt. But thoughts of his aching paws dissipated as he looked around the wooded canopy with wonder. Even with the leaves quickly losing their color and falling from the branches, the place was still magnificent to a pup who had grown up on the side of a mountain where trees were scarce.

He half-listened to Terance, but when his father began to howl, Breccan gave the adults his full attention. He tilted back his own head and let his young voice join their medley with excitement.
