it was easy, natural like breathing air - Flicker - October 16, 2018

Flicker returned meekly to the woods with her head hung low, silently cursing herself for having let this happen to her but, no, she wouldn't complain or make a fuss. But, hopefully, she'd find something to cover the open shoulder and stop that persistent ache from her muzzle. God damn it. For a moment she looked up to the fluttering, cawing crows. Where could she go? 'Explore.'

A sly grin came to spread her lips and revealed her latest loss to the woodland. Perhaps she'd find something helpful whilst she'd wandered. With a new purpose, she started into a slow lope until she came across a clearing, centered with a tree. Was this the Weeping Meadow? The scarlet embellished wolfess wandered out from the tree line, and why not? How bad could the effects be? She skirted about the edge, looking to the tree with caution; surely the spored she'd been warned of couldn't affect her at this distance?

Slowly, but surely, a creeping nauseous feeling slithered into her mind and the ground started to slant towards the tree. Flicker obeyed the disorientation, for fighting off the sickness was a consuming activity, until she found herself looking up at the branches of the glowing willow tree. Small creatures, rabbits, pikas and such like, preyed upon by wisps of fog which could appear to be numbers of Merlins to Gyrfalcons. She watched with silent awe as the tree's poison brought her mind's images to life before her.

RE: it was easy, natural like breathing air - Shisu - October 28, 2018

i need shisu to socialize aaAA

The plush wolf was always puzzled on this tree and its effects. She knew her mentor would be in an absolute galore by it, and wouldn't leave it's side for days to analyze it, but Shisu thought differently, and kept away in curiosity. She knew for certain that it gave off effects that were strange and unhealthy, something that no wolf should go near. She had seen the other animals crawl close, only to be driven to an odd madness. Only when taken far away, would they been alright. So, she dare not grow close, and only remained wary, but curious on such a plant. The witch's particular habits did rub off on her, but she didn't want to admit the interest she held for it. It remained a mystery.

Though on a particular day she grew wandering, and came back toward the Willows. It was a sight, but the sight was not worth what held within. Not wanting to get caught up in the effects, Shisu was to turn around, but her eyes caught the sight of a moving figure. She was far enough to know it couldn't be her imagination, so she looked over in a worry. Was someone, going near it? She was fearful to anyone who drew near and muttered a, "oh no." It was easy to get caught up in the terrians charms.

She could see the unknown red wolf grow too near, far too near to be safe from it, "h-hey!" Though Shisu was meek, she would forego it when the time came of safety, and she called out in concern to them, "don't.. Get, t-to close!" She saw the figure move closer toward it, and hoped to warn them before the daze would wrap their mind. Paws slowly drifted foward as she drew in restlessness, worried for the other ahead.

RE: it was easy, natural like breathing air - Flicker - October 29, 2018

The woman moved again, following the imaginary whisps of animals. Ghosts perhaps, revealed to her by the trees poisonous spores. A sound cleaved through her thoughts, a voice. She turned her muzzle to the sound and followed it instead, and the ghosts appeared infront of her eyes again. How curious. The cream girl blinked at the space ahead of her, wondering where the sound emitted from.

Before she could react, she stumbled over a root and landed heavily on her chest with her head streched out before her. Damn. The woman lay in the position, trying to figure out what had happened whilst her eyes searched for the source.

RE: it was easy, natural like breathing air - Shisu - October 30, 2018

The silver fae felt relieved once the red stranger started to head toward her direction, despite the lost state displayed. As long as she stayed away from the contagious phenomenons, Shisu would be safe, and able to help much better. Getting away would help clear the mind for who was up ahead, and if she continued, the two could safely head back and away from the willows.

Though when the plush dame saw her fall over, her paws already moved over, "oh gosh!" Shisu rushed over to help, despite the fumes drawing near, "are, you.. okay?" She nudged gently with a dark nose, prompting the unknown wolf to start getting up as she used her own body to help, hoping to be leaned upon. One couldn't notice when the effects would display, but she hoped to get away before it appeared.

RE: it was easy, natural like breathing air - Flicker - October 31, 2018

Flicker rumbled in discomfort, but now she could see the stranger before her. Then offering help, the woman took it with as much gratitude as she could feel in her drugged condition. “Gryfalcons.” She murmured. Although the images have all but vanished, broken by the fall, she had an affainaty for the birds.

The woman allowed the fae to help her, and was glad to find only her pride had been hurt, and the recent wound on her right shoulder had opened up again, slowly staining her fur a slick red. Still delusional, she took a step forward, hoping to move away from the tree, her head spun and muzzle tilted up in a vain attempt to relieve the creeping nausea. “Dizzy,” she murmured, louder this time, and leant against the samaritan by her side, greatful for her presance despite her silver form being fuzzy and uncertain.

RE: it was easy, natural like breathing air - Shisu - November 09, 2018

She felt a blurr, but ignored it. Shisu could see the signs of something not real at the corner of her eyes, especially at the mention of 'Gryfalcons.' Though she held on, long enough to tell what seemed to be real, and what was not. She couldn't say the same to the other, who seemed to be seeing uncertainty of the falcons and of the plush fae. So she tried her best, to drag the other away from the tree, far enough where the fumes wouldn't touch them, and far enough where she could see that.

"O-Oh gosh!" The crimson look was an instant attention grabber to Shisu, as she gave a startle toward the look, "a-are you okay?" She of course, asked in concern before going on, "I-I, I'll go get herbs!" Though before she would do such, the other was still leaning against her as they would get away from the willow. Shisu wanted to bend down to let the other lay, as she could get the herbs to start the treatment needed. What was needed slowly listed off her mind, as cobwebs were a must, and easy to find in Blackfeather woods, but she would need poppy seeds for when the other had a clear-mind.. Goosegrass, for the wound, and Marigold just incase.. Oh gosh, she would need a lot. Would it all be in the forest?

RE: it was easy, natural like breathing air - Flicker - November 10, 2018

The woman looked to the plush mass of silvered grey and nodded slowly, spores causing the concerned figure to slip into two before again forming one. She blinked in delirium before laying out when they'd reached the sentinels beyond the poisonous claws of the Willow. Sphinx-like, Flicker turned her scarlet coiffed muzzle to the helpful spirit and canted her head in a corvid-like fashion. It was then, a memory of her past clouded her mind and cleaved her thoughts:

The cream girl was in such a rage, he had done this on purpose. How dare he?! She stalked after her brother with a brewing anger none could soothe. Her brother had made her fail. The pack needed food, winter was on their doorstep and he made her fail. She looked up and caught the white flash of his plumage. Nothing would stop her wreaking revenge.

The woman noticed that the samaritan had left to get herbs. That was ok. She let the memory swallow her mind again.

It was too late by the time Flicker's Uncle reached them, the damage was done. Cinders lay prone, unconscious from the pain, on the wet ground. Blood stained his face, mud stained his pure plumage. In the seething female's maw was an eye. Her brother's eye. She'd ripped it from his face and marred his cheek in the process. Blood pooled in the well where it belonged. The girl only snarled when her Uncle threw up a howl, and fled from the scene.

She was drawn back to reality by the caw of a crow, looking about, she waited for her savior to gather the herbs and return.
