bleeding moonlight - Ashari - October 27, 2018

maybe a sunspire or morningside wolf? recruit me!
she misses athris. she's cold, and tired, and she doesn't know where she is — she doesn't even know who she is anymore, really. her brother is gone, shaara is gone, the tribes are gone; what identity does she have, without all that? she doesn't even have a mother or a father anymore, not since the latter left and —
all she has is herself now. and honestly, it really sucks. it's not so bad here in particular; the forest is pretty enough, if a little cold. and she's perfectly capable of taking care of herself. she's just lonely — and maybe a little afraid that she'll be lonely forever. she's only known her family up until now, and the tribes — but some part of her already senses that the strict structuring of her former home is not how the world truly works, and the budding realization terrifies her. so she keeps walking, because she's pretty sure if she gets tired enough she'll just stop feeling altogether.

RE: bleeding moonlight - Nunataq - October 28, 2018

Nearing her 7 month of life Nunataq has adapted to the life of a wanderer and she no longer spends her days in the Wapun meadow or meandering by Easthollow borders, waiting for another kid to come out and play with her. With a dark and stormy night spent on her own in an unknown forest and finding her way back home after that, has taught the girl a very important thing - you can trust no one but yourself. And holding this mantra as a flag, she heads out in the world, expanding her horizons and exploring new areas.

Jade Fern Grove is the furthest she has gone from her home (aside that one time, when she tracked Indra all the way to the Otatso wetlands) and her stride is both confident and determined. She does not have a clear target in mind, but she wants to test the limits of, what she can do and where she can go. And the scent of hare that has passed through the area recently, is just the thing to cement her belief that going away is just the right thing to do.

But before she can track and hunt the lagomorph, a pale wolf-like figure in the distance catches her attention and makes her stop in her tracks to observe the stranger keenly and understand, whether this could be a friend or a foe.

RE: bleeding moonlight - Ashari - November 14, 2018

the approach of another wolf draws her from her tumultuous thoughts, and she glances up in time to watch the girl stop. her head tilts as she takes in the sight of the younger wolf and her pelt of dark and sandy tones, a bit puzzled by the youth's silence. she assumes the girl is shy, or perhaps startled, and opts to lower her posture slightly as she takes a tentative step forward. hello, she offers, glancing around. the girl smells of pack, and though she seems old enough to be on her own, ashari is wary of lurking packmates. she doesn't like feeling disadvantaged. who are you? she decides to ask after a moment, ears perked and swiveling slightly to listen for any others.

RE: bleeding moonlight - Nunataq - November 14, 2018

Welcoming tone, searching look, air of slight uneasiness and a bubbling stream of words that end on a higher note, meaning that Nunataq is supposed to do something. This much she has read from the stranger's body language and this seems sufficient for her to deem the other wolf harmless for the time being and therefore safe to approach. She gives her head a light shake, whisking away the traces of earlier concentration on the other's features, and draws few slow steps nearer, her face alight with a friendly curiousity and tail kept low, but wagging. In the girl's eyes people are like books, which she judges by their covers. If she likes the binding, she is interested to learn more. This stranger has passed the first test.

In the end Nuna did not get past the cover and decided to go for another book.
