they poisoned the water supply! - RIP Issun - November 04, 2018

coyotes are here to steal some food. there are 3, each with 25 HP. please specify which one your character is attacking (light brown, dark brown, or black) so i can keep track of their health. use a 1d10 dice for attacks. you can only post once per round. round ends 11/10. feel free to jump in!

earbleeding cries and barks weaved their way through the trees and to the warrior. issun’s ears perked as he listened to the piercing noise. this was not the sounds of his packmates, no, these were coyotes. thieving, cowardly, disgusting coyotes. his lips peeled back in a grimace before making a mad dash towards them. as he sprinted, he made a call to @Minori and anyone else who happened to hear him.

he made a sudden halt when he closed in on them. three slimy mutts who had the guts to rummage through their cache. they whipped around to face him. the first was dusty brown, the next was a rich mahogany, and the last was pitch black. all three had challenging looks on their faces. the numbers were in their favor, but that meant nothing to him. issun lunged for the black one. he wasn’t afraid of a couple filthy coyotes.

RE: they poisoned the water supply! - Minori - November 04, 2018

Why do I do this to my toons?
DB: 23/25
Mahog: 21/25

The call for her help was a bit too late as the shrill yipping and shrieking of the coyotes had already made her wake up and head to investigate. She was pissed when she realised that they were at the cache, assumedly raiding their food and began to book it toward the theives. As she arrived she went for the dusty brown wolf and aimed a bite, her teeth just barely grazing fur before he slipped away. The mahagony colored coyote lunged for her, while the dusty brown paced around them and Minori leaped into him using his own momentum to smash into him. It did little damage but it did cause the coyote to stumble backwards a bit.

RE: they poisoned the water supply! - Siege - November 05, 2018

As a hunter, the cache was everything to Siege.  It was where his efforts would be stored and what he tended to the most (aside from the borders, as was his duty as a capable soldier).  To hear that there was a threat upon the cache was enough to stir Siege from his patrol and send him barrelling towards the fight.

He came upon three coyotes and two packmates; the male looked like he had things under control, but the remaining two coyotes were focusing their attention on Minori.  He came from behind the one that Minori's focus was not on and bared his mighty fangs, ripping a significant portion of flesh and fur from the coyote's withers before it escaped his grasp.

RE: they poisoned the water supply! - RIP Issun - November 11, 2018

second round! ends 11/18. @Liri @Kavik @Grezig (not sure if she was present at this time) @Ruenna @Elixir @Krarius y’all can still jump in if you want!

his teeth sank into the coyote’s leg, causing it to screech and write until it was free. reinforcements were quick to come. minori went for one while the another tried to catch her by surprise. the warrior would have went for it but someone else came just in time to help her out.

with one wolf on each coyote, issun felt more confident. he lunged for the dark one, fastening his jaws on another leg.

RE: they poisoned the water supply! - Ruenna - November 11, 2018

Ruenna was just a bit behind the others after having come in from the Plateau's perimeter. The sight of the ransacked cache was enough for her to deduce what had happened, and what she needed to do.

Minori smashed into the dark brown coyote, causing it to stumble away from the fray. Ruenna took the opportunity to leap onto the unsuspecting creature, jaws closing in a vicious grip on the back of its neck. She then dipped to the ground, using her greater weight to fling the intruder over her shoulder and send him tumbling away. It was a move the dainty female didn't often get to employ--certainly never against any lupine opponents--  and it satisfied her greatly to hear the creature hit the ground with a yelp.

RE: they poisoned the water supply! - Síff - November 12, 2018

She had been defending their borders - though unfortunately it was the opposite side of the plateau from where the canids had infiltrated - but the snarls and yaps of violence brought the leader forth.

It seemed like something akin to chaos.

Three coyotes - one dark, one chocolate, and one fawn - had crept into their home, driven by hunger. The wild creatures beyond their sanctuary were not faring so well as the pack it would seem, if they were desperate enough to pass by the strongly marked borders and attempt to steal from a larger, stronger group.

Liri deduced this within a few heartbeats, a sweep of her dark gaze. Minori was closest, fighting the tawny coyote, and as it stumbled back from her shove, Liri lunged towards it.

Her teeth sunk into its scruff though this didn't limit its movement. It snarled, head whipping to and fro as it struggled to free itself. Enraged as its fangs brushed her face - dangerously close to her eyes - Liri shook the thing vigorously. Her own brain felt rattled by the tactic but that didn't stop her from flinging it to the ground with force - a heavy thud carrying through the trees.

@Kavik whoops! Forget to mention, I rolled a 5 :)

RE: they poisoned the water supply! - RIP Kavik - November 12, 2018

Rolled 1d10 = 8 for attack on B
DB: 14/25
LB: 17?/25 (unsure what Liri rolled)
B: 3

He had been down in the flatlands, and so he had not been aware of what was going on inside his home. Inky paws brought him across the borders of the plateau just as he heard the sounds of a fight. Dread filled his chest, and he began sprinting towards the sounds.

When arrived on scene, he first noticed the cache and its contents strewn about. Looking up he saw his packmates engaged in a fight with three coyotes. How stupid were they that they thought it safe to wander across their heavily-marked borders and attempt to steal their food? He quickly assessed the situation, and noticing the Issun was the only one fighting one of the thieves on his own, he quickly jumped in to provide aid. Snarling, the alpha lunged towards the black coyote, teeth sinking into its shoulder as his packamate had hold of its leg. The bite was deep, his jaws tearing through skin and muscle to render the little beasts shoulder useless.

RE: they poisoned the water supply! - RIP Issun - November 21, 2018

third round! ends 11/28
more and more wolves started jumping into the fray. this was not working out for the coyotes, yet they still stayed and fought. it could’ve been hunger that made them stay, or pride, or foolishness. whatever it may be, these intruders clearly wouldn’t leave until the end.

issun kept his grip on the black one, taking on the feverish bites and scratches. kavik rushes forward and took the coyote by the shoulder. the warrior took the opportunity to move towards the neck and deliver the death blow. the creature writhed below him until it went limp.

RE: they poisoned the water supply! - Minori - November 21, 2018

Rolled to help Ruenna and rolled a 5/10 for an attack
DB: 9/25
LB:12/25

She had gone from handling two to handling none as Liri and Ruenna each took a mad, snarling coyote off her paws. She turned to survey the scenario, half the pack coming to aid. Kavik and Issun quickly took out the black coyote in a brilliant display of teamwork, Liri almost took a hit to the eyes and she cringed before the Alpha quickly turned the scenario and had the coyote down. Ruenna also quickly took down the coyote and Minori was torn, though Liri's opponent looked weaker than Ruenna's. Going for the beta she lunged at the fallen Coyote's belly, sinking her fangs in deep before one of it's hind legs came up and kicked her right across the face. It narrowly avoided her eye but she felt the slow ooze of blood from a cut drip into her eye from her brow, stinging and clouding her vision. She backed off to a safe distance, blinking rapidly to try and clear her vision.

RE: they poisoned the water supply! - RIP Kavik - November 29, 2018

Rolled 1d10 = 1 (for attack on LB)
LB: 11/25
DB:9/25

Issun wasted no time taking advantage of the black coyote's precarious situation, dealing a killing blow and taking the creature out. Kavik raised an inky eyebrow in appreciation, nodding to his comrade before turning to assess the rest of the situation. Liri was battling the light brown coyote on her own, and he caught sight of her flinging the beast to the ground. The alpha lunged forward to attack the annoying creature while it was down. As he reached it, he attempted to sink his teeth into the coyote's throat. The beast sprang up and turned just in time, Kavik's teeth only grazing its flesh as it turned to lunge at the him, connecting with his shoulder.

RE: they poisoned the water supply! - RIP Issun - December 16, 2018

wrapping this up! im gonna archive this tonight so if you wanted to post get those in

the last two coyotes were loosing their strength. while kavik went for the light brown one, he lunged for its partner. it was easy to access its throat with minori holding it down. slowly but surely, it succumbed to its demise.

with both of its comrades dead, the last coyote didn’t have a chance. it took one look at the fallen comrades and made a beeline through the trees. issun gave chase. it wasn’t going to escape that easily.
