what is a desire to live, if not a desire for failure - Siege - November 04, 2018 @Hydra, because I finally was able to get to this! Sorry for the wait D:
The third matter was to become acquainted with the lands surrounding his new claim. He was sure that the river of fish and the herd in the plains were not the only sources of food near the plateau, and he would put it upon himself to find what was out there. His travels brought him more away from home than he would have liked, but the shrouded shadows of the pine wood made him feel comfortable and at home, and he decided that it would not be a sin to stay in them longer than he had initially anticipated. The low sun had just broken over the horizon as he stood at the forest's edge, taking in the snow-dusted landscape. RE: what is a desire to live, if not a desire for failure - Hydra - November 04, 2018 Hydra moved with @Alya at her side. Together, they would determine whether or not any others had deemed it fit to follow @Llewelyn. Immediately upon arrival, they split up; Hydra searched the lands for any trace of Blackfeather. Of Screech. She detected traces of prey here, but there were no telltale signs of either scent she sought (yet). Alya had not come across anything, either, else she would have heard. The Beta was not yet finished in her hunt. No stone would be left unturned. She was given pause at a massive silhouette in the near-distance, though not for very long. Vaati, she thought to herself. Was he among the Blackfeather wolves again? No. If he were, she was certain she would have the head she longed for, or else reports as to how she could attain it herself. The Beta had no qualm in being seen by him, if that was who it was, or any other, but she did not make an effort to make herself known as she continued her work. Neither did she do the opposite. It would not be difficult to note her there, as she paused near a tree to sniff at its base, and then its trunk, with intent. Her demeanor was similar to her arrival; it was neither inviting or uninviting. One ear shifted in his direction, acknowledging she recognized she was not alone. RE: what is a desire to live, if not a desire for failure - Siege - November 09, 2018 Always aware of his surroundings, Siege was given pause when he heard the telltale whuff, whuff of breath as someone rooted around for something nearby. It was difficult to see her in the darkness there but his bloodied gaze found her beside the sturdy bones of a tree. Much like his company, he was neither inviting nor uninviting; he was simply there. As such he did not seek to make her acquaintence, but he did watch her with interest. Perhaps she'd find whatever it was she was looking for, or better yet, she'd reveal it to him in her search for knowledge. |
