Nights like this make me want a bite to drink - Corvus - November 12, 2018

After settling back in at Blacktail Deer Plateau, the nosferatu had finally gotten back on his nocturnal schedule. The beauty of this place at night made the struggle to do so worth it. The moon was a beautiful waxing gibbous, and its gentle rays shone down on the snow, which sparkled and glowed as if enchanted. He'd have to come back someday on a full moon to experience it in all its glory. His eyes drifted to Moonspear's peak, and his thoughts drifted to Hydra. Hopefully, an alliance could be forged between their packs soon. Corvus wasn't here for that now, though — he was here because he wanted to become more familiar with this part of the wilds.

The chilled breeze carried with it the scent of various prey. There was a lot of life here, even in this season. It was a good hunting grounds for sure. Corvus sauntered along, disturbing the moon-kissed blanket of snow as he went. He almost felt as if he didn't belong here, being the dark, battered creature he was. And yet, at night, being here felt so right. He almost felt selfish in indulging in this place.

A strange rock structure up ahead ahead came into view on his right. It looked almost unnatural, its walls steep and erect, yet curved. Corvus decided to investigate that place next, but he'd take his time getting there.

RE: Nights like this make me want a bite to drink - Siqsa - December 06, 2018

He had snuck off again to free himself. But this time, it wasn’t from Ruenna, or even his practices at being ‘kind’ to himself. It was from the noise. But despite his wandering, the silence wouldn’t come, and the monster grew more agitated at his lack of respite.

Siq has been up all day, trying to follow Ruenna’s doctoring and fight back his urges to snap. Whether it be vocal or violent, there was just some terrible thing in him that forced him to his fours as she had settled to her bedding, and begone. It pushed him forward, away from the ‘family’ that he was meant to be looking after and helping thrive. It held that cold barrel to his temple and promised him release should he comply. But it had lied.
And now he was out here, alone.

The Demon had gotten better, to a degree. But he was tired, dark blue glimmer turning his hide into a mobile ocean of muscle and murderous potential. He hungered for something much less subtle, something that he would be able to sink his teeth into, and finish in a scalding ember of garnet haze. But there was no live nor dead prey he could crave right now. He wanted desperately to simple kill. There was no feeding this lust until he felt air and soul depart into the Void under his maw, to hear the final heartbeats of something great end beneath his tormented paws.

The legs moved mechanically, shuffling forward in a silent demeanor of someone who’s misgivings were left unchecked, and let loose. As a panther would have grace, Siqsa had chaos as it rose and fell with unbridled calamity in his hellish gaze. It nearly burned a path on the forest floor as the brute forever moved forward.

Head downcast and neck neck curved like a depressed dog’s, the Demon was on the prowl tonight, for something much more than a bite to eat.
