after dusk - RIP Desdemona - December 21, 2018
Faster, she commanded.
Further, she pleaded to her body. Harder, her will came to be. Like a shadow, her figure haunted the forest. She remained in the history, protecting, guarding, and hoping. There was no praying, and there was no pleading to the sky, there was only self-reliance, and patience. Her body wisped between through the trees, a tongue lopped to the side as Desdemona heavily panted within the forest. She started in the morning, and urged herself to run, run far, and run free. Run within the snowy forest, and bury herself within this training.
She remembered the cougar, and how she wasn't fast enough to dodge the hits. How she didn't see the first strike come forth, and how she was knicked on the face. It was so small, that it wasn't even noticable alongst the fae's slender fur, but it was enough to hurt the pride she had. She trained long and hard, to be a warrior. She gained what she thought was to be an elite, to be a guardian, but even then, her Father said it was not enough. So she switched, by his suggestion, in that hope to be recognized for her efforts. Speed, and so speed was her gain. But even then, she couldn't completely slide from the feline.. Run, turn from the tree's, and loop in a circle. Desdemona ran and made those quick turn around the tree, but the ground was filled with ice and snow, and was not sturdy enough for a good jog. So she slipped, as a turn came to a failure, and the dark bastard slammed into a tree. RE: after dusk - Tahani - December 25, 2018 she parted with some sorrow from Neasa and the man Terance, but there was no sign of her lost family around the hollow. she waited until her strength was up, traveling. . .well, aimlessly, really. it was only when she reached the fringes of the maplewood did she recognize her surroundings, and she barreled through the first line of trees before faintly registering the scent markings there. oh, right. there was a pack here, one not altogether friendly to IkKanattuk. they had refused them safe harbor, even though there was plenty of land to go around. and then there'd been a fire, and then. . . but why was everything so faint? shuddering with unease and exhaustion, the northern woman lifted her head in a lilting song, calling for whomever called these woods home. friend or foe--she would risk anything, at this point, to get her baby girl back. RE: after dusk - RIP Desdemona - December 29, 2018 She rested there for a while, a darkened body splashed onto the white path, panting heavily as she wheezed slightly. Desdemona felt pained from that slam and felt reluctant to get up, but her large ears heard the call of another. A song of request, one that needed to be tended to. No one else would after all, for only one remained in these haunted woods.
She limped, as the hit gave damage. Temporary, she hoped for as the wolf wobbled her way to the call. She had to get closer to even see the other figure, as they easily blended to the snow, but large amongst most wolves. Desdemona came forth from woods and gave a look at the other before opening her mouth, straightening upwards in an imposing structure, and with a cold voice asked the stranger, "What do you need in these woods?" Protective, she felt wary, and overly defensive on whoever came near. She didn't want someone to claim them, in the hope the others return on another day. RE: after dusk - Tahani - January 04, 2019 a brown woman came to greet her, stern and cold. Tahani licked her lips, gathering her scattered thoughts before continuing (she couldn't have done so otherwise). family lost, she explained succintly, mouth curving into the ever-ready, oh-so-familiar frown. i look them. for them, she corrected herself. Shivali. Siarut. Takiyok. big, white, like me. Sos, Aningan, white boys. Tunerk and C-Currituck,she stumbled now, trying to get her daughter's name out. Tunerk white but Curri brown girl. please. . .Tahani whispered, staring at the sentinel. you see them? RE: after dusk - RIP Desdemona - January 06, 2019 With the odd way she phrased words, Desdemona could easily guess where this lone wolf was from. It was confirmed more, when she started to list off various of names, only two were familiar, however. Was she lost, or did something happen to IkKanattuk? They were an.. Interesting pack, whome held somesort of animosity toward Morningside she did not know of, however. She personally, felt nothing toward them, and only wished for the same.
"I have not." She bluntly said, and shook her head. While she knew some of them, Shivali and Siarut, that was a meeting long ago, and ever since, Desdemona has not seen them. If they crossed the maplewoods, she would for sure do something about it. Even in a battered and tired state she was now, she would be doing something. She should be doing something to this wolf, but she only seemed lost. There was no point in an unneeded fight. RE: after dusk - Tahani - January 07, 2019 Tahani let out a quiet, shuddering breath, the despair writ clearly across her face. well, at least now she knew, and could move on. she shifted her weight, giving the woman a grateful stare. thank you,the healer said, her voice genuine. if there was nothing else to be exchanged, she would walk away and continue her search. she was not, however, opposed to stopping if the sentry had anything--anything--else to offer. RE: after dusk - RIP Desdemona - January 13, 2019 She has had this happen multiple times, thinking about it. Meeting someone for a few minutes, and they inquire something before leaving. Desdemona wasn't warm enough to offer them more, as all her desires focused on simply keeping the borders safe, and intruderers away. She held no desire to offer the lady to stay the night, nor' for a meal, as prey was scarce in the forest.
"Farewell." The dark female would mutter, jades following the other as she would leave the terrain, to search for the family she so desires. She hoped the other well, but felt a bit sorry could not offer more to the lost white wolf. |
