teach us things about our own tongue - Merrick - December 28, 2018 the land was cold, flat, barren. torn. and merrick found it above all places fitting for him to lie this evening.
the stars were covered by cloud, and so offered the boy no distraction. he slipped from the borders like a wraith, and cast himself down in the ic-rimed moor. she had gone. both of them had gone, and while it had been he who had refused to go, indra's depature was a knife in his gut, a blade he wished desperately to escape. but tadec had gone too, had he not? and merrick had not mourned him half as much. the boy sighed against the frozen earth. terance was to take care of them, but a bitterness rose to choke him — he needed no one. only nunataq, though he had grown wary. perhaps she would leave him too. RE: teach us things about our own tongue - Aerasha - December 29, 2018 She was quite out of place, to the haunted lands. Her vibrant colors, and her playful eyes, and a voice that hummed a tune, she was bopping and sashaying her way around the whitened world, simply enjoying a night-time stroll. Her excuse was to 'patrol' if anyone was to asked, but many knew in reality Aerasha never did the usual routines that others plead her to do. She was simply going in her own pace, which led to the quiet night of the moor.
Though with this small world so bleak, it was easy for her split gaze to catch the site of a darker pelt, who also stood out amongst the snow. As a friendly fellow, the fae took a sweet moment to stode her way over to the figure, finding them smaller then she thought, and a familiar pack-scent could be detected. She had a pleased smile, with a usual lazy gaze while greeting toward Merrick, "Heeeeeey.~" RE: teach us things about our own tongue - Merrick - January 05, 2019 the approach of another compelled merrick to raise his head, but he did not stir. another wolf, bearing a scent he recognized as that of easthollow, her colours a palette of dessert hues in the half-light. the she-wolf greeted him, and the boy crossed his forepaws at the ankle. "hello."
he wished to be alone with the dark thoughts that plagued him, but perhaps there was some benefit to being distracted at this time. she certainly was pretty, in a way he had not seen before, and merrick allowed himself a brief perusal of her features as he waited for the woman's answer. RE: teach us things about our own tongue - Aerasha - January 06, 2019 Aerasha approached and when greeted, she happily sat herself across from the boy. A smile and a head tilt, "Whooo, are yoouuu?" He was unfamiliar, but the clear scent of Lost Creek Hollow hung in the air, as she recognized it all too well from the meetings with Nunataq, and the previous chatter with Treason and Terrance. Though sad to say she didn't recognize him, despite the want to know all of then. Oh how she loved to interact with those at the creek, they were all too interesting to pass up, "I'm Aerasha.~"
RE: teach us things about our own tongue - Merrick - January 09, 2019 "i'm merrick," he answered. it was strange; he could not remember the last time he had introduced himself to anyone. even in the case of gannet, terance had made those for him. "why are you out here?" the boy inquired, ever direct. it was cold, and he was closer to his home than she was to her own. what had made her wander? intrigued, merrick watched aerasha carefully, awaiting her response.
RE: teach us things about our own tongue - Aerasha - January 13, 2019 Her head tilted to the side, as she gave a curious hum, "I'mmm, not surrrreeee?~" Aerasha had simply wandered around, and saw this unfamiliar place which quickly caught her interest. It wasn't as vibrant or colorful as the normal terrains she saught out, but the curious lady wanted to see what it held. She loved to simply stroll and explore, see what was new in this world. The constant walking around has led her to meet quite a few new people, including the companion before her.
"Whaatt, about youuu?~" She could assume where he was from, but he looked quite young to be out in the night. Oohhhh, a runaway? Sneaking out? So many possibilities! RE: teach us things about our own tongue - Merrick - January 15, 2019 she didn't know? merrick was not quite sure he understood; in his world, you had a reason, or you did not. there was very little grey, or at least little that the boy indulged. he studied her silently, not answering immediately. what was his reason? he had not come here for pleasure, but to escape the cloying feel of the hollow.
"no reason," merrick settled upon saying, ears flicking forward. "i've never seen anyone like you before." while delivered bluntly, it was quite truthful, and he found himself piqued anew. RE: teach us things about our own tongue - Aerasha - January 20, 2019 "Oohhhhh, am I attrraacctiiivee?~" Aerasha took a positive route to the turn, despite Merrick being unclear if it was a good, or bad. Though she bluntly asked an ego-boosting question, as the Princess cocked her head in an innocent and playful way, much like a child. She heard quite a few different phrases, though many would simply call her eccentric, and an oddity. However she didn't mind, it was quite fun to see how everyone had to say about her particular traits.~ To the split-colored gaze, and the ugly blemish, to her little chunky body that was coated in creams and earthy tones, she found herself to be an enchantress, despite others calling her an annoyance.
"Ohhhh, but you are cuuuteee tooo.~" RE: teach us things about our own tongue - Merrick - January 24, 2019 merrick's ears folded. he was unsure of how to answer her question, nor her follow-up. cute was not something that had ever been attributed to him; in fact, the wolves with which he kept company did not comment upon his appearance. and so it was a foreign word, as was her inquiry.
somehow it made him feel awkward. the boy did not like that, but refused to show any hint of weakness to a stranger. "you are. and thank you," he added stiffly. was she leading him into a conversation he did not want to have? merrick swept his auds toward aerasha with minute suspicion, though he could not deny that being called 'cute' was intriguing. |
