between a saint and a devil - Jace - July 07, 2014 The sun rose bright and hot in a number of majestic colors, as jace trotted down the mountain towards one of the lakes. He felt like a swim and some fishing on flatland, rather than a mountain side. Blue eyes took in the world around him still bathed in pink, orange and blue from the sun rise. He loped towards lower arrow lake and skidded to a stop. He jumped in with a large splash and paddled around the shallows. Dunking his head a few times, he played around and cooled off, intent to enjoy himself today. Pulling himself from the water his obsidian coat clung to the muscles there, defining every inch of his lean muscle bound frame. He stood dripping and studied the water trying hard to find where the most fish were and that was where he'd begin. The sun began to dry his fur, but most of the fur still clung tightly to the definition his body offered, but he paid it no mind, thinking he would not meet anywhere here today. RE: between a saint and a devil - Bazi - July 07, 2014 Going to assume he's closer to the waterfall because he came down from the mountain. :D
Quite by chance, Bazi was scouting the area when Jace slipped down from the mountain like a lone soldier of night charging into battle against the advancing dawn. She watched him for quite some time, hidden by a crevice in the mountain and distant enough that her smell would not travel to him. Their last encounter had been tense, but ultimately friendly, and she had left him with a much lighter heart. Jace wasn't the problem. Bazi's gaze drifted from the frolicking male and travelled up, up, up the mountain's edge. The outrider in her wanted desperately to know how many had pledged themselves to Ferdie. That vain, fickle, damaged king of the black rock. The Creek girl's features soured with her mood. Fox did not care what her wolves did beyond the border, as long as their actions did not incite war. She was free to socialize with Jace, and they might even have repaired their relationship if not for the blue-eyed boys allegiance to Ferdie - something he had not chosen, Bazi reminded herself, and got suddenly to her feet. "Jace!" she called from her hiding spot to the left of the waterfall, scrambling over a few slick rocks - tail wagging furiously despite making no such arrangements with her brain. RE: between a saint and a devil - Jace - July 07, 2014 Jace had not known that any watched him like a secret rendezvous. He would not have minded anyway, unless of course it had been Fox or another wolf intent upon harming him. He wasn’t paying attention in the least, something he should probably work on, especially since he had enemies everywhere now, wolves, coyotes and foxes just to name a few. Jace heard his name and lifted his head to look around wondering who else was up this early. Blue eyes alighted onto the white fur of Bazi and he chuckled deeply a smile on his maw. He tilted his head and wagged his tail and chuffed at her in return. Hey Bazi. I’m doing some fishing and cooling off, what are you up too? RE: between a saint and a devil - Ypres - July 07, 2014 Is it ok if I hop in? I'm dying to RP with you two...
She needed to escape, the Alphess had a terrible feeling dawning upon her, as she felt that she was failing her pack. Her members were slowly fading after Majesty had disappeared and Ypres was never really given the chance to prove herself as a strong, faithful, or good leader. She just needed a place to sit and think, away from the impending war, away from what remained of her pack, away from it all. So much plagues the pits of her mind as she stood by the ledge of the rapids as the sound of the waterfall penetrated her sonars. Ypres knew it, she was failing as an Alpha to keep her pack alive and well. Failing in keeping them happy, and Ypres was becoming miserable. She couldn't force those she loved and adored to follow her in finding a new home, she couldn't force them to stay with her. She wasn't even in the pack long enough to prove herself to anyone, and not only that, she never formed bonding relationships except for with Naya. She sort of had something going with Beric, but Beric took off like a bat out of hell, and without even saying goodbye. Majesty suddenly went missing; maybe Silvertip or the wolves of Horizon Ridge murdered him? Then why was Silvertip invading her lands? So many questions without answers to give her pack, she felt like a complete failure. She stared down into the running water seeing a few fish go by. She picked up her feet and wandered along side of the banks of the water soon hearing voices. The water covered up unfamiliar scents, but the smell of two others did still hit her nostrils with a cloaked affect from the heavy scent of water and fish. She spotted the two of two different packs conversing with each other. Allies maybe? Ypres hid among the bushes afraid to be seen. She was here alone, and what if they too were after her? Would they strike? It sure as heck wasn't silvertip wolves, or that of any enemy pack she knew of. What if these two different packed wolves hated Wheeling Gull too? There was only one way to seek answers. A bold brash move as she stepped out from the bushes and offered a gentle gaze and pulling her neck downward for a swift drink. She watched the two from the corner of her eye, her body tense, but she did her best to hide that feat. She did not take Alpha stance due to the fact she was off grounds, and off grounds meant she was open game to anyone for attacking her. She was not here to start any mishap, but to only try and seek light conversation, maybe get her mind off things for awhile. She rose her muzzle from the water and looked over yonder to where the two stood. Hello... She called out with a wag of her tail and friendly tone. She dipped her muzzle to the two who stood off in the distance. Despite her being Alpha of her pack, she never allowed it to go to her head, as she treated every wolf she met with respect. She felt like a fool standing there, but she took a deep breath and called out once more. Lovely day isn't it? If they did not want her there, she'd leave with grace instead of making things worse for the pack that she now lead. RE: between a saint and a devil - Bazi - July 20, 2014 Sorry about the delay - things blew up in SC! :) Going to assume this is still before the SS/Fox incident.
"Oh, you know. Hanging out," Bazi responded, tip-toeing daintily among the rocks that ringed the lake until she was only a few feet away from Jace. He looked well, she noted - and the injury he had sustained from the long-ago fight with Ferdie was all but invisible. Before she could inquire further about his health and Ferdie's mental state, a second voice joined them. Bazi looked up to see a wolf that resembled Danica standing at the water's edge some distance away from them. Normally, she would have regarded a foreign wolf on the east side as either a threat or a potential recruit, but seeing Jace had gotten her day off to a good start. "You can come closer," she told the island wolf (Majesty's replacement, though Bazi knew nothing of what had gone on off the Sealion Shores. With a swift glance at Jace, she added. "Are you a Sunspire wolf..?" If so, the pack was growing, and that made her nervous. RE: between a saint and a devil - Jace - July 20, 2014 Jace’s tail wagged as Bazi grew closer and he leaned forward brushing his muzzle across her shoulder in companionable presence. His scars that littered his pelt, were hard to see due mainly to the black coat her wore, they were there though and he knew it, and that was all that really mattered he supposed. He was doing well, gaining weight and living as best he could, the sunspire was actually a wonderful place. Jace heard a quiet hello and he turned to looked back and dipped his nose to the newcomer. Hello Stranger. Yes it is a lovely day. He motioned for the femme to come closer as Bazi voiced the offer and he chuckled he turned towards her and shook his head, no she’s not one of ours. He shrugged then not sure where she was from, and he didn’t know the packs nearby enough to guess either. |
