the drink of the Gods - Norsamu - December 30, 2018

Norsamu was once a dweller in the Bay before leaving, and before it was occupied by a group. She spent quite a while at the beaches, mostly because her dearest treasure laid hidden in the rocks. Though with winter approaching, the treasure was limited and would dry up, and no more was there a thin chain keeping her by the waters.

Except she came back. And joined a Pack. Quite an oddity for her desire of freedom and adventure, it was out of the norm' for her to stay bound. However her social needs seem to conquer her desire, as the lonely behemoth shut her pride away to ask to join Stormrift. All she wanted as some fun in her life, Norsamu cared little to the need of shelter and protection, for it was easy to provide herself one. She was a warrior at heart, but a barbarian, who enjoyed laughter and shenanigans of play. A tavern was a place she could on dream to enter in the human realm.

Though she got close to one, with the discovery of rum, "Aw, shit man." Sad to say it wasn't to be for the winter! For her rotten fruit to provide the juices have long been dried, and the leaves were crumbled into a lifeless dust, "shame! S'pose somethin' to look forward ta next winter!" But Norsamu didn't let it get to her, as when Spring would come she could taste the sweet nectar once more. So she laughed it off, despite a longing for the alcohol.

RE: the drink of the Gods - Saucy - December 31, 2018

Saucy was had finished her morning patrols, and since then had been wandering the Stormrift bay in search of whatever. Something fun and interesting mostly; she thought to howl for a spar partner, perhaps Ford for another test of her prowess, or Dalia if she wanted an easy win to boost confidence. Instead she found herself following the scent of a packmate she hadn't gotten the time to hang out with yet. The pirate one, Norrington or something like that.

When the white lioness came across the black and white she wolf, the woman was talking to herself. Lookin forward to what bro? she asked, forgoing the whole greeting thing as she was genuinely curious.

thanks for starting!

RE: the drink of the Gods - Norsamu - January 01, 2019

"Ahoy lassy!" The white maned barbarian greeted with a smile to the other, uncaring for the standard greeting most would give. She honestly doesn't give two flying fucks on 'formalities,' or being polite, only does her own 'sup' before going forward only continued onward in the conversation, "well ya see," she started, "got this fine buzz, called rum." Norsamu didn't know what the world 'alcoholic' was, as the world was limited to their standard fruits and live feasts, but she felt a somewhat 'buzz' whenever the drink was consumed. It gave her an ungodly amount of happiness, but at the same time she felt rushed, and needed to do what was seen. A good drink.

"Delicious, but mine dryed!" She gestured her black and white paw to the dead leaves, and extremely dried up fruit. They were the size of her claw as the bits have been left for quite some time, "an event tah' look forward once spring hits."

RE: the drink of the Gods - Saucy - January 02, 2019

Saucy was immediately taken aback by the words that came out of the barbarian’s mouth. Ahoy. Lassy. She had only heard words like this used ironically in stories about sea wolves, but this lady was legit! Wowza, this was way too cool. Saucy missed a lot of the meat in what the black and white wolf said, she was mostly hung up on how she sounded, a smile spread across her maw. Dude I like your accent, she half said aloud half whispered to herself.

The warrior caught the last section, something about delicious, and she watched the woman gesture at the dried up stuff on the ground. She assumed that meant she wanted to eat that stuff, but it wasn’t good till next year. She gave a slow nod, mentally trying to figure out who the fuck eats leaves. Cool, was all she ended up saying, deciding with finality that this lady was hardcore. What do those leaves taste like? she asked eyes aglow with that curious burn.

RE: the drink of the Gods - Norsamu - January 03, 2019

Her grin widened, "Why thank ya, ya a nice lass, ain't ya?" Norsamu caught on the words of praise, and of course, had an ego-boost. She of course never knew of her own accent, and grew up with wolves of similarities, but due to this, everyone had an accent for the pirate. It was similar to an American hearing the British, everyone to her sounded sophisticated, and noble! It sounded nice to the ears, but even though they sounded nice, she treated everyone in a similar matter. All mates until proven otherwise, if they're being a dick, then they're seafood for another. It's black and white, really, just like her pelt.

"Nay!" Her large paw slapped the ground, "aint leaves, it's the drink!" Her voice almost seemed offended if it wasn't followed with a chortle, "ya rotten fruits, the juices mixed with honey give ya the taste of dreams." Ah she dreams of the taste of dreams! Norsamu was patient to wait, but she couldn't help but feel her mouth water on remembering the taste of rum.

RE: the drink of the Gods - Saucy - January 05, 2019

Saucy squinted a bit at being called a nice lass, she'd never been called that before. You're welcome, she replied, with a sort of smile on her face. This lady was cool, not only was she a pirate, but she also approved of Saucy. Right on!

Saucy's question was responded to with near offense, the girl's eyes widened with surprise at the sudden slap of the ground. The black and white and white wolf explained that Saucy had it all wrong, it was not the leaves that she wanted but the drink she could get from the fruits. Saucy had only ever drunk water or coconut juice, naturally when the time came, she would have to try this 'stuff of dreams' as well. Her tail began to wag slowly, When can we get some of that then, she asked, shaking her fluffy white head as a breeze passed them.

RE: the drink of the Gods - Norsamu - January 05, 2019

"Sadly, we must wait!" She had an exaggerated sigh, but held up a smile, "fruit only be in the other seasons, aye'? Can't enjoy yet." She was unaware of any fruits that grew in the winter times, for she never really searched. The thought never came to be, and even if she knew, where would it even be in these wilds? Travelling, and never staying in place, her blazing gaze never caught those small details in the one decade of snow. This was her second winter, which has been spent by the seas.

"But when spring comes," she Norsamu stated loudly, "we will feast, aye!"

RE: the drink of the Gods - Saucy - January 06, 2019

Oh, so that’s what the woman had been saying to herself earlier, about spring and waiting and whatnot. Shame, Saucy was all about trying new things. She grinned again at the aye, and replied with a hearty, Aye! just to try it on. She moved forwards to inspect the dried fruits and leaves, sniffing at them with her black nose. They certainly had a faint pungent smell, she was truly disappointed she wouldn’t get to try some of this fancy dream juice until spring.

So you got a name Captain Fruits? Saucy asked, looking up at the black and white wolf again. It was ironic that she asked for her name, when she’d already come up with one.

RE: the drink of the Gods - Norsamu - January 06, 2019

She was more then happy to have others share in her ways of speech, aye, that'd be a bliss if it came to truth. Though she couldn't see someone like Ford, who was more of sophisticated speech then one of the rogue-like pirates, to talk any of slang she spoke of. Someone like Saucy though, the behemoth would be more then pleased to share words and the like with. Be a dream if the rest caught on.

"Name's Norsamu, ya casual wanderer of the lands and adventurer," but, "s'pose not any more now that i'm here!" She joked with a cackle, as perhaps her crossing of lakes and mountains wouldn't be as frequent anymore. Course', her nature wouldn't let it completely stop. The lass would have to ask eventually if she could take a month off to travel more of teekon, maybe with the excuse of 'knowing the lands better.' Sounds pretty good, "what about ya, lass?"

RE: the drink of the Gods - Saucy - January 07, 2019

Norsamu, sounded piratey too. Saucy really wanted to know where her captain fruits had come from, she imagined a some island out in the middle of the ocean, with fruit on every tree and everyone singing sea shanties. Wherever Norsamu was from must’ve been epic. The black and white woman laughed at her own joke, Saucy chuckled along with her. I used to to travel around too, but I’m a warrior, not an adventurer, she stated. For her, exploring was no occupation, just a hobby. Fighting, now that was the real deal.

She was asked her name, Saucy, she said with a wink.

RE: the drink of the Gods - Norsamu - January 13, 2019

"A warrior, aye?" She could say she was a warrior too, though more of a pirate, of a scoundral. Even Norsamu knew her fighting at times wasn't 'honorable' as a warrior, as she would use a dirty trick here and there if required. A win is a win in her books, but others would through a fit, she remembers those times clearly, "s'pose then i'm a pirate now more then an adventurer! Maybe a warrior by Ford!" The maned wolf joked. Though would she be a pirate, or a rogue? Goes by land and sea, she could be all the titles, or none now that she was with Stormrift. She should ask Ford later, on what the fuck is her role.

"A fine name for a lass such as ya'self, sounds fiesty and sweet." A saucy name, quality.

RE: the drink of the Gods - Saucy - January 20, 2019

A warrior, aye! she confirmed enthusiastically, then giggled a little. This was fun, acting like a pirate. She wouldn’t mind hanging around Norsamu one bit. She smiled at Norsamu’s little jab at Ford, or as Saucy liked to call him, Big Bitch. That nickname was only to be revoked once he’d taught her how to fight in the water, no sooner.

Captain Fruit commented on Saucy’s name, the girl replied in a her low and laidback tone, Nah, Sweet’s my brother. Trust me I didn’t get the name Saucy for being sweet, a smirk lit her lips.

RE: the drink of the Gods - Norsamu - January 20, 2019

"Aye indeed!" She so loved to laugh, especially when one egged onto her wild-like talk. Norsamu could already see enjoying this one far more then the others, as they both shared humor, much like another fellow named Velen. As long as they all weren't folks like Ford, who was large and strong, but took on the persona like a statue, she wouldn't mind staying around, and placing loyalty. Though loyalty has to be earned, aye!

"Ya don't say? I think ya a sweetie too though." And she laughed some more, complimenting the girlie for being a sweetie companion. What interesting names, the Pirate thought. Sweet and Saucy, who were their damned parents, haha! She couldn't help but continue, "ya got more siblings? Lemme guess, Spicy and Salty too! Ya got interestin' folks!"

RE: the drink of the Gods - Saucy - January 21, 2019

It may have been a compliment, being called a sweetie, but for Saucy it just left a wierd taste in her mouth. Sweetie. Blegh. Saucy sure hoped that wasn't the vibe she was putting out into the world, she might have to correct the way she introduced herself. Badass, that was her preferred title. Certainly she'd be asking Dalia later whether or not she thought Saucy was a sweetie or a badass; Dalia could always be counted on to clear up these things.

Her distaste for the phrase was only animated in a faint narrow of her brows, other than that she let it be. It was, meant to be a compliment after all. She smiled again when Norsamu asked about other siblings, Spicy, no Salty. Yeah my parents were... wild, she said with a low chuckle. The Soleil's might not've been the best at giving their kids a normal childhood, but they had definitely taught them how to have a good time.

RE: the drink of the Gods - Norsamu - February 03, 2019

Norsamu tended to call most ladies by the catcalling of 'sweetie,' or other, more girlie compliments. She didn't mean harm of it, and would most likely continue using those with Saucy unless the lass gave notice of the unwanted names. She thought most would enjoy such cute names, but forgotten that the Pirate wouldn't be too pleased to have it thrown back at her. Someone calling her cute? A sweet little thing? She was a behemoth, of unruly tongues and laughter! Not something many would call the maned wolf, especially as her more Pirate nature been known by the rest.

"Spicy? So tis' true! Wild parents indeed." Norsamu was giving a hardy cackle at getting one of them right, not expecting such names to become the truth, "sound fun, bet ya had ya own tales of adventure." With such easy-going names, the parents sounded like party-goers, whome she would've loved to meet one day. Would be a good question on why they named their kids such interesting names, as well as developing interesting persona's such as Saucy.
