to suggest an ending is the one absurdity - Illidan - January 10, 2019 using for scout trade! anyone is welcome :)
the gorge was a fierce thing from the perch he had found. the young ghost stood on the edge and peered down the length of the rocky walls in search of where he could clamber downward and find earth at the bottom. all that he could hear was the rushing sound of water at the base. the thought of it was enough to inspire a fearful shudder in the wildling. he could not help but to imagine himself being swept away in the same manner as his father had been... and what would his mother say if she were to find his mangled corpse on the edge of wherever the river let out? still, he was young, and he was looking to prove himself to all of the wolves in the sound. he wanted to show his mother that he was worthy to belong at her side. though turmoil raged on inside of him, illidan had found a way to use it to his advantage. while his body was littered with wounds, he knew that he would survive them and would grow stronger for them. with that as a thought, he jumped from his place on the edge and found footing in a jutting stone in the ravine. RE: to suggest an ending is the one absurdity - Red - January 16, 2019 It was still – a noiseless ambiance which in such magnitudes seemed deafening. Overhead, the sky seemed to wither as it aged: greying with a gloomy overcast that snuffed out the cheerful, revitalizing sunshine that seemed necessitous to dismantle the grip of winters despair. It draped across the land in a milky, blued shroud, the otherwise uninspiring monochromatic hues deepening with ominous, dense shadows that seemed impenetrable; wispy tendrils of ink ghosting across the countryside in disconcerting shapes of clawed fingers and miasmic figures. He was not immune to the atmospheric influences – he loamed with a rather careful step, his senses so heightened that silence was an ear-piercing siren in his ears, and he could acutely feel the blood pumping through the cobweb of veinwork in his head. Though in the distance – much to his satisfaction – the comforting gurgles of water began to trickle into the bubble that was his own self-made anxieties. He wasn’t scared, of course – though his pace did pick up, and he found himself on the edge of the gorge rather quickly. Again, not scared – simply, motivated. A sigh befell his lips, his mouth slackening with relief as his eyelashes kissed the sharp peaks of his cheeks in hushed gratitude. “Oh bugger,” he lamented, both in relief and grief. He had never found much peace in silence, far too accustomed to the uproar of waves and seaside folly. The sudden sound of dislodged stone popped his eyes open, ears perking high upon a disheveled scalp as he carefully leaned over the edge – what the devil?! “Oi!” He called to what seemed to be a young lad, spindly in form and obviously lacking in self-preservation. “Just what in the bloody hell are you doin’!” He had no qualms letting adults be idiotic: kids, however, he could not condone. @Illidan RE: to suggest an ending is the one absurdity - Illidan - January 16, 2019 hi ily
there was a sound of someone's voice before there was the image of them. illidan felt his heart jump in a startled moment, realizing that he had placed himself in a very precarious place to have been caught off guard. his head swung around and he latched his eyes with the red wolf who peered at him. there was judgment in the other's eyes. the young ghost furrowed his brow and made a gesture with his muzzle toward the ravine. how dense could someone get? it wasn't rocket science, and it shouldn't have taken a lot to figure out that he was venturing downward. “what's it look like?” his voice carried over the sound of the rushing water below. his hawkish gaze was narrowed on the stranger, and the more that he stood there in limbo, the more he had started to wonder why it was that he was answering to a complete loon that he'd never met before. illidan didn't feel as though he owed a response to anyone other than the woman who had birthed him and returned him to his home. certainly not this barking fool. RE: to suggest an ending is the one absurdity - Red - January 16, 2019 “Suicide,” he retorted, sternly, the flesh of his brown wrinkling with dissatisfaction. Well, this whippersnapper certainly had a very disagreeable mouth on him! Still, having stumbled upon what could have been a very untimely demise of a youth, he felt compelled to assist him – some nagging, perhaps, sense of dutiful moral fiber that he had not yet asphyxiated in his days of inebriation and debauchery. He is once again consumed by a sigh, a deep, resonating exhalation as regret already began to pervade the porosity of his bones – oh damn it all. His gaze was a glower as it flittered among the afforded discombobulation of ledge and foothold below, a steeled look of calculation capturing his visage as his mouth pursed with thoughtful consideration. Slowly, gingerly he extended his foreleg, his toes splaying outward to even out the weight distribution, as he pressed (tested) the fortitude of a thinned branch of stone. Its edges crumbled as it settled, evolving to buttress the body which now hesitantly followed – and he used this same procedure as he descended, slowly embarking his way toward the stoop on which the brash boy resided. He stepped down onto the ledge, finally – his lean body astutely slinking downward as though a feline – before his hind legs followed, and he stood resolutely before the child. He peered down at him, the hardened features of his face weathered by a hard life curling down in disapproval, a fang glinting alike the mercurial viscosity of his eyes. “Up, you wee git,” he snorted, his muzzle sharply pointing to the plains in which they’d started – “back to your mother, where you belong. A young boy like you shouldn’t seek danger.” hi ily too <3
RE: to suggest an ending is the one absurdity - Illidan - January 17, 2019 god this guy was nosy – what the fuck? illidan couldn’t help but to stare back at him with a look of complete disbelief on his inky face. his brow was creased into a line over his eyes that suggested he was not amused at all by his recent company. if the stranger had a brain, he’d have up and walked away from the whole thing. it seemed, though, that he did not. he lacked so much of a mind that not only did he not leave the scene, but he actually made an attempt to close the distance between their two frames. illidan watched with a dumbstruck expression on his face. once the stranger had found a spot on the jutting stone, he looked at the young man with a stern expression and called him a term that seemed to have been pulled from his ass, right before he demanded that illidan return to his mother. well, that was your mistake red. he’d come to that realization soon enough, though. “make me, you strawberry-looking mutt,” he snapped, flashing his teeth. illidan might have been younger, but he was almost full grown and he had a great deal of strength in the youthful limbs of his body. “who the fuck are you? get out of my face!” his patience had expired within moments of being told to return home to his mother. did this nitwit have no idea what illidan had been through? he’d grown more in his first three months of life than the tomato had in all the years he’d existed on the planet. |
