All hail the Night Mother! - Nocturnal - January 18, 2019

They had arrived in woodlands that were unfamiliar to the young Nyx, but it provided much needed cover and there seemed to be no packs nearby. Camping out there was deemed the better course of action. The mist and the tall trees created an atmosphere that could be compared to the comfort of what was once their home; Blackfeather Woods. But these woods were new. These woods meant solitude, for at least until they were gathered up.

Or perhaps for the rebirth of their legacy. The more days they spent there, the more she liked it. She didn't think she'd ever been this close to the sea, unless she had forgotten, and it brought with it a new kind of excitement. Surely there lay more, hidden in the mist or underneath the thick layer of ferns, that was worth exploring. She felt better having denied Stigmata the satisfaction of seeing her turn against her own, for now they had become stronger than ever and threatened their very existence.

She let her howl travel on the winds to all of them that had followed, wanting their opinions on the place they had stumbled upon but also to have everyone together in one place for once.

RE: All hail the Night Mother! - Alarian - January 18, 2019

For the most part, he's gotten over his reservations about joining Midar and his family. He hadn't wanted to come here, to abandon Rusalka the same way he'd abandoned Easthollow — but in the end, he could not have made a different decision. Between losing Midar and uprooting himself entirely again... well, it's obvious which he'd prefer. He's more or less accepted it by now — but he still needs some time to sulk occasionally. He'd liked the beach.
Actually, that's what he's doing when he hears the call. His ears perk at the sound, attention immediately drawn away from his resentful thoughts, and he rises to answer without hesitation. He can't help feeling a spark of anxiety at the thought of gathering with Midar's family; what if they don't like him? What if he doesn't like them? What if Midar has a hot cousin? They're all equally horrifying possibilities, and he finds himself undeniably anxious as he comes upon the dark woman. He hides it well, though, greeting her with a chuff and a dip of his head and settling a small distance away from her. He can't help but hope Midar arrives quickly; suddenly he wishes he hadn't been avoiding him.

RE: All hail the Night Mother! - Aries - January 18, 2019

Aries had not been far from the ebony wolfess as the call rose on the wind, and dark silver ears tipped forward on his crown to listen before following. The wind whipped around his pelt, ruffling the ashen fur of his pelage and causing his gaze to squint against the glare; it was good to get among the trees again, to wrap himself in the cover of darkness that the canopies provided - it felt more secure, and the soldier's pace began to slow as he came across Nyx and a stranger.

Aries flicked his eyes over the newcomer's figure, wondering who he was and why he was here - protective as always, but necessarily so: there were countless dangers when it came to those outside of their circle, and the Svartell was not always willing to take the risk. His job was to defend. He was the group's sword and shield, and would never say no to a task required of him, no matter how perilous.

Svelte figure sliding to close the distance between them all, the starborn stood and cast his stoic vision toward the raven queen, awaiting her words before any of his own would slip from his tongue and into the frigid air.

RE: All hail the Night Mother! - Midar - January 18, 2019

Despite there being discontent between he and Alarian once again over his decision to leave Rusalka, he was honestly glad to be rid of the strangers and back with his family. No other situation would really work for him, as he just couldn't see himself getting along with anyone else. Alarian had decided that today would be one of his avoidance days, so the beast hadn't seen him for some time. It had been like that since they left the sea wolves to be with his family; some days he barely saw him at all, and some days it seemed the other man couldn't stay away. Midar understood he had wanted to stay on the beach and felt bad leaving yet another pack, but he wasn't about to stay there when his family needed him here, and unfortunately that meant that his lover would just have to deal with it. So when he slipped of to wherever to sulk, Midar gave him his space even though that was very much the last thing he wanted to do, and on the days Alarian decided he wanted all of Midar's attention, the beast gladly offered it, taking advantage of that time while he could. He would let the petulance go on for now while the other man got used to things, but eventually he'd need to realize that no amount of sulking would change Midar's mind about staying here--it would only serve to make things more difficult than they needed to be.

He had been exploring their new claim, becoming familiar with the trees and pathways that made up the secure forest. He had so far decided that he liked it here, even more than the other forest they had originally sought to claim. Since rejoining with his family, he couldn't help but dwell on what he had regained of his memory; Damien had helped him better understand what he had seen and start slowly and painfully putting the puzzle together, but he knew there were many more pieces to find, and he was just as afraid as he was desperate to know more. The memory episode hadn't been easy, and it had been a while since that confusing day; so he waited, waking up every morning wondering of his brain would decide to fuck his shit up again today.

Nyx's call pulled his head from the tree he had been sniffing, and he turned to head in the direction from which the sound had come. He moved through the trees until he found the group, surprised to see that his lover was already there. He gave his leader and Aries a dip of his head in greeting before moving to sit next to Alarian--he may have chosen to avoid him today, but Midar couldn't resist being near him. As he got closer, the scarred male moved towards him and pressed against his side. The beast wasn't quite sure the reason for the sudden mood change, but
he wasn't going to question it, especially not right now, so he just took a seat, Alarian doing the same while continuing to stay glued to his side. Midar glanced around briefly before settling his gaze on the caller of this meeting while he waited for the rest to arrive.

RE: All hail the Night Mother! - Damien - January 20, 2019

Yes, this was it. tended to and well secured this forest could become the setting of Damien's new life chapter. There seemed to be plenty of prey from what he'd seen, and he liked the sense of protection that he got from the particular features of the surrounding territories. There was potential, more so than Neverwinter ever did and he could feel it growing into him as well as his lover.

He came from the south when his lover summoned them all, he had been doing a recognition of the edges of the pale canyon, which brought him unfortunate memories. But Damien didn't do traumas, not anymore, so even after what he'd gone through in this place, the dark prince could see how the landscape of that territory meant protection for his claim. There was no going through it, not without a huge effort and risking one's life, so he did not expect any unwanted visitors coming from this flank.

With a feeling of comfort running through him, Damien gathered with the rest of them, first greeting his lover with a gentle kiss before turning to the rest of hem. He still had to get acquainted with Midar's new recruit, but the other two were as good as brothers and their opinions mattered greatly. What do you think? he asked them. Damien already knew what he thought, and he had an idea of Nyx's thoughts as well, but he wanted to know whether the rest of them found anything worth mentioning.
