we’ll be the lionhearted - RIP Issun - February 05, 2019 it’s movin time! @Minori @Takara @Malice (idk if she’s still with them or not/if u wanted her to come with. buuuut tagging just in case <3)
revui was gone. aeliana was no where to be found. the neighbors were far more situated than they could ever be with the redhawks beside them. so this was it. he had entered these woods with high hopes before and he would leave with shattered dreams again. that realization was painful. he wanted to make something of his own and be just as great as his father was but that wasn’t going to happen. he would never be satisfied. maybe kuma was right. maybe he was never fit to lead. he felt truly defeated. issun ho/wled (ares is cheating the kek system) at the border, or rather what was left of it. they had to leave. he didn’t know where to, but it had to be done. RE: we’ll be the lionhearted - Minori - February 06, 2019 She had left everything behind. She had abandoned Kavik and Ruenna after promising that she would always be there. She had abandoned Liri when the Alpha female was laid up and ill....she didn't even know if the woman lived. She had gone through an emotional revelation and chosen Issun, abandoning Corvus in the worst way without even a goodbye. All to stay with Issun. All for Kamiki. She had never caught the woman's name but she had disappeared along with Revui. She had no idea where that hateful bitch Kuma had went and she frankly didnt give a shit. All that left behind was Issun, Takara and herself. They couldn't form Kamiki. Part of her was hurt deeply by the failure, ached to go see if the plateau stood and if so beg forgiveness. The other part knew that she wouldn't leave Issun, not when she loved him so deeply. So when the howl went up she approached somberly, eyes swimming with the knowledge and pain of failure though she strode up to him. She paused before him and looked into his gaze, exposing her disappointment and fear to him like she would do with nobody else before slowly reaching out and touching her nose to the side of his neck "Another time...when it's warmer. We will try again, you, Takara and me. This isn't failure...its postponement." she spoke these words softly, eyes closing ad a wave of grief and anger washed over her causing her voice to waver slightly. Oh how she wished she had thought to convince him to stay. Suggested they wait till another time. They could have bred, she was sure Kavik would have let her. They would be safe and around friends. Now they were alone and without a home to belong to. It wasn't anyone's fault she knew, even so she blamed herself for being so stupid and impulsive. RE: we’ll be the lionhearted - Takara - February 09, 2019 She noticed something long ago when she continued to run the borders, scents of those that claimed to be loyal to Kamiki had began to grow stale. The young Revui had left one night and so his scent was the weakest, to the point of nonexistent. The blue eyed girl, Aeliana, her trail ran cold that last time she tried to track her. She knew Kuma would not be staying and Malice, well she had barely met the girl but in passing, they too had smells that no longer belonged to the forming pack. So that left only the original three, herself, Issun, and Minori. They could not survive on just the three of them, there would be no protection if future children were to be born, there would be low success on hunts. They would not survive like this. Just as she sought out his scent his call came, close and sad. She saw the dark woman approach him and she echoed her movement, though she gave a soft press to Minori's side before cycling around and pressing herself against her childhood friend. "As Minori said, this is a small hiccup. We can always try again, you know I am here for you. This is nothing but a little set back" She gave a gentle smile to both of her companions. RE: we’ll be the lionhearted - RIP Issun - February 09, 2019 Ghe knew this was a risk from the beginning. not only for himself, but his companions. they had a good life at the plateau. they had shelter, food, protection. minori was comfortable in her ranking, takara had just joined. and they threw it all away just to follow him. guilt crushed his heart. that old life could be right under their noses for all they knew. they could go back to the plateau but in his heart he knew it was too late. kavik would never take them back in after everything. minori melted through the trees. there was a somber look in her eye. it was painful to see. he met her halfway, rubbing his snout over her crown. her voice matched her dissatisfied expression. “i’m so sorry.” that’s all he managed to say. takara came next. she offered comfort to the two. a soft sigh passed through his lips. the group may be parted now, the woods may be quiet, kamiki was nothin to but a dream again. but despite everything, the trio still stood together. they came to this place together and they would leave it the same way. “we gotta leave,” he started, “everyone’s left and the neighbors are too close for comfort.” they couldn’t afford to squabble for food, especially now. “i don’t know where we go from here,” he admitted, “but whatever we do, we’ll do it together.” he took a deep breath and started to leave. “well. i guess we’ll be heading off now.” |
