She knew what she would find here, and yet she was still struck with intense grief as she stared out at the glacier; it was still completely engulfed in snow. None of the home she once knew was visible yet, and she had found no trace of her family anywhere. She had diligently searched for anything that might indicate they had been anywhere near the IkKanattuk ruins recently, but she had found nothing as she and @Mahler had made their way here. And as the two Diasporans stood at the threshold of what had once been hers, it was painfully clear that they would also find nothing here. Still she couldn't tear her gaze away from the scene in front of her, even as waves of grief rolled though her at the state of the glacier. At this point, she'd take her almost constant nausea over feeling like this.
I don't think anyone has been here recently,she finally said, gaze trained in front of her. She couldn't say she was exactly surprised, but it still hurt all the same.
