it hurts until it doesn't - Olive - March 01, 2019 These days, there was nothing that could cause Olive to rush, or to hurry, or to do anything in a manner that was remotely stressful. Everything happened in its own time, with its own pacing, and there was nothing that the druid could do about that; it did not matter how long she labored, or how many times she worried. Everything happened when it was going to happen, so Olive figured she might as well be passive about it and enjoy the ride. It was a luxury that many didn’t have, but it was certainly afforded to her through her presence in the willows, her sanctuary — a sanctuary that was open to all, if they willed it. Life was easy here, slow and lovely, and Olive usually found that if she did not have the energy to tend to a task one day, there were very few repercussions to waiting until the next day to do it. Everything was always fine, all the time. Even when it came to conceiving her next litter, Olive did so in a sweet, methodical and unassuming manner. She knew what type of dramas rushing into these sorts of things caused, and she wouldn’t have any of that — it would be done right, when the timing was perfect, and because she had Seabreeze by her side, she was not left wanting. Now quite experienced in the art of baby-making, Olive did not worry that her fertility would suddenly disappear and with it, her every possibility of conceiving a litter for she and Seabreeze and Delight — sure the stakes were high, but Olive had every confidence that this was the way of things. When it was meant to happen, she would know. — and then, one day, Olive woke up and she knew! Perhaps there was an extra rush of blood in her veins, or an extra skip-beat of her heart, but from the moment she opened her eyes that morning, she knew it was the day. The druid unfurled herself from Seabreeze’s side and kissed her to wakefulness. There was no question that the two of them were no longer enough to make the relationship whole; there was a distinct need for Delight that transcended their inability to conceive a little on their own. From a past of healing and support had grown a real love and affection, and they made sure that Delight knew he was as welcome in their hearts and souls as he was in their bed. Olive desired a real relationship with him as much as Seabreeze did, and when the feelings were this authentic, the rest of it all was a no-brainer. So, under the cover of the early morning, the two women pulled themselves from the rose garden where they lay and went out to search for @Delight. RE: it hurts until it doesn't - Ariel - March 05, 2019 somehow in the past year delight has forgotten how to coexist among others peaceably. his attempts at breaking out of his slow fall into hermitage have largely failed without meaning to: he simply, despite feeling, largely, okay, cannot summon the energy to mingle with the others. it is too anxiously overwhelming to sit with how they see him and know it is wrong -- and it isn't their fault, of course -- but a part of him misses when he was younger. he'd been able to hide in other people's stories, then, and it'd been easier. he wonders if that part of him is lost forever, and if so, what becomes of him? seabreeze and increasingly, olive, though. they are safety for him, safe girls to love, and he is surprised by the intensity of his feelings. part of him has always known it would be seabreeze in the end; he just hadn't known what to make of those feelings because he isn't straight. realizing that -- well, gender is a fickle thing -- seabreeze and olive make sense to him now. he will never be their husband or a father to their children. he can be their wife. (the thought gives him chills!) he is not far from them when they come looking for him. there is such purposefulness to their stride that delight can intuit immediately why they've arrived in tandem: olive's scent confirms it. nonetheless, "hi," he murmurs shyly, reaching out to embrace first seabreeze and then olive, his eyes finding hers in a searching look, leaving the question unasked. RE: it hurts until it doesn't - Olive - March 07, 2019 When things were meant to be, there was a sense of flow that one felt that was undeniable and unshakable. The universe was always on their side and when they were following their path, the powerful force of karma would smooth their course — and just the same, karma could make their live incredibly difficult, and try to course-correct their descent into madness. Olive spent so much of her life battling forces outside of her control instead of listening to them and being entirely complicit with the gods’ intentions for her. Now that she knew how to read the ways of world, everything came a little bit easier. Everything was a little more obvious. The dove felt that flow here and now, when she and Seabreeze came upon Delight mere moments after they commenced their search for him. Surely it was not entirely chance that he was nearby, which also gave Olive a sense of comfort and a sense of belonging. If he wished to be close to them, even unintentionally, then this thing they found blooming between them must be real. It was this thought that kept ringing in her mind as Delight greeted both of them with a hug and a kiss — and she noticed the almost imperceptible linger as her scent registered upon his faculties. She shivered from his nearness and touch. Feeling the full weight of the moment, Olive looked to both her mates, eyes lit with fire. “We know that love is the most pure cause in the world, yes?” she asked them redundantly. "Then what comes after this can nothing but a blessing.” RE: it hurts until it doesn't - Ariel - March 12, 2019 in the days that would follow, delight would become aware of mali's disappearance, likely from his last daughter's mouth, and would feel, finally, conflicted. guilty, sure, but for more complicated reasons than he'd like to admit. right now, though, he's not thinking of his living children at all, distracted by olive's husky scent, her and seabreeze's sweet proximity. so different from last time - different enough that olive's words ease the last of his remaining anxiety, swept up in their embrace. still, he is who he is. "if you say so," he murmurs, only half-joking (though his eyes are bright and fond). he does not want to rush into this -- he wants nothing of this to feel like it did last year, doesn't want to be seen as just... a man, regardless of the role he takes in the specific action. he presses his nose gently against olive's cheek, pressing closer gently -- he wants to be coaxed, a little bit, but doesn't know how to ask. RE: it hurts until it doesn't - Olive - March 19, 2019 There was something lovely about the number three — something that the number two just didn’t quite possess. Two was balanced and fine, but three was decadent and cushy. Two’s company but three’s a crowd, in the best way possible, because there was not one soul to love but two. Both held in equal esteem, both occupying a similar-but-different place in her heart. Two souls who loved her, not for what she represented but for who she was, and were determined to ride the waves of this earthly existence together. It was no surprise that the three wives held similar dispositions, and their coats were different variations of the same shades — that was how the universe worked, in signs and symbols and non-coincidences. Delight pressed against her and Olive returned his presence, leaning her body into the warm of his own. Their crowns brushed against each others and she lingered there, enjoying the energetic connection that sparked from such a proximity. There were no more words that needed to be said; nothing that could explain the strange brew of excitement and trepidation that they all experienced in varying amounts. There was no where to go from here but up, and breech barriers they had never before breeched, and pushed limits that they previously believed to be immovable. Olive was certain they would surprise themselves with how well they would rise to the occasion. Olive nestled her nose into the velvet of Delight’s cheek, but then turned to regard Seabreeze, offering her a kiss of her own. The sea sprite was bright and eager to accept her advances, receiving the affections and then delivering them to Delight. Seabreeze sidled up close to her friend from long-ago, the one with whom Olive had always suspected Seabreeze wanted something more, and she tried to fan the fire that burned between them — her ivory plume hung low, sweeping from side to side, tickling the ankles and thighs of whomever she could reach while stirring the haze of pheromones that hung around them. To see Seabreeze so desirous, and Delight so willing, was one of the most beautiful sights she could behold. She wished she could paint it and hang it on a wall for all to see; but the actual experience of it was only hers. “Come,” Seabreeze suggested cheekily to the both of them, “to the rose garden.” RE: it hurts until it doesn't - Ariel - March 19, 2019 olive does not urge him to action, but keeps him close as seabreeze approaches -- he gives in to her affection easily, feeling his heart swell. it's a piece of a puzzle he didn't know was missing finally clicking into space, and he can't help but be gently amused by the irony of it all, recalling how they first met, how once upon a time delight thought something like this might happen, but with mato. well. olive is more than mato could ever be. he could bask in seabreeze's affections all day, but olive's voice calls him back to reality. a blush creeps up under his fur at her tone, but he nods and returns a weak grin. "lead the way," delight returns, voice playful as he acquiesces to his wives' whims. RE: it hurts until it doesn't - Olive - March 21, 2019 For a moment, the druid simply hung back and let Delight and Seabreeze luxuriate in each other’s company; she watched their kisses and their affection for one another, and Olive herself steeped in a sense of rightness that she hadn’t felt since that very first time meeting Dakarai. One of those moments when one couldn’t imagine how life could possibly become better, or what one did to deserve such a fortune. She found that she had so many more questions about the world, as well, for she now was able to look at the facets from a different point of view — one of whom was assured of the universe’s ability to make things right in the end. When Seabreeze suggested that the trio abscond back towards whence they came — the rose garden where they spent many nap times — Olive quivered and knew she wanted to go. There was no rush, no hurry, but there was every possibility to make this a perfect and enlightening experience for each of them. Delight and Olive followed Seabreeze as if they were doves on the wind, but ones who hungrily prowled behind her as if Seabreeze herself was the source of all heat-scent and all creation; but it was Olive who alone held that power, and when they arrived at the dell full of ever-blooming scarlet, she became aware of it more than ever. The seraph brushed her lips against the velvet of a rose and inhaled the scent, voluptuously innocent, then turned to brazenly brush herself against the length of Delight’s slight form, then Seabreeze’s, a tangle of willowy limbs and thin, silken fur. When her mouth alighted with Delight’s ear, she prompted in a voice that was husky with intention — but she did not want to force things. “If you want…” Perhaps it might be empowering for her new wife, to make that final decision for the rest of them. “You could…” Olive stood there, alluring and ready to fulfill her role as Shakti, as midwife and as lover of the two kindest souls she had ever known. RE: it hurts until it doesn't - Ariel - March 31, 2019 sorry for the hold up angel <3 this is not very good rip
both are so soft, so kind, and though delight's attention is more or less captured by seabreeze, it doesn't take much for olive to bring him back to reality, underneath the heady scent of roses all around them. sighing dreamily he allows himself to be pulled closer into their affectionate embraces, his eyes landing on olive as she begins to speak. oh, yes, they both have a purpose here -- and it is so different from queenie, so different from what he was afraid of. "sure," he says, breathless, and descends upon her, relearning how to use his body -- how to fulfill the role he's been asked of, but how to do it as himself, or herself, themself, whatever self delight feels in the moment. and afterwards the fear and anxiety does not come, just -- a shy sort of pleasure he's never indulged in before. RE: it hurts until it doesn't - Olive - April 01, 2019 Olive considered this whole endeavor quite a success. It was the cherry on tpo of a series of incredibly fortunate events, from finding the willows and establishing Elysium, becoming close Delight and finding the space within herself to accept him as her lover, to working together beautifully to create the next generation of Sanctuary Wolves. It was all too picture perfect that it was almost sickening; but Olive gladly became drunk off of it, allowing the perfect-ness of it all to steep in her being and drive her nearly mad. This was it; this is what it was all about. When he took her, he did so gently; and with Seabreeze held close, there could have been no afternoon more perfect. It was a place of love and acceptance, of passion and then, extreme satisfaction. Amongst the rose garden, three souls entered — but six souls would eventually leave, born of sincere love and hope for a better future. |
