gunning out of this place in a bullet's embrace - Alessia - March 08, 2019

continued from this thread
Thankfully, it hadn't taken her very long to find @Kavik. She'd been bright eyed and breathless when she found him, more lively than she's been in awhile — it must have been obvious immediately that something had happened. Not that she'd kept him in the dark for long. Her explanation had been a rushed jumble as she'd led him to her lover, a brief, painfully inadequate overview: her best friend, the love of her life who she'd thought dead, has returned to her. Her pulse still races with the exhilaration of it as they near the place where she'd left @Rosalie at the borders, though now she feels a twinge of nerves as well. She glances to her mate a little anxiously, offering what she hopes is a reassuring smile. She hasn't explicitly covered what all this means, exactly — not yet — but she does not want him to think things will be different between them now. She truly doubts Rosalie's presence will affect their partnership at all; after all, it is one born purely of necessity.

RE: gunning out of this place in a bullet's embrace - RIP Kavik - March 08, 2019

It was obvious that something had happened when he saw her trotting towards him, belly and all. He wasn't really sure he'd ever seen such excitement in her expression, so when she quickly explained what was going on, he merely followed without question. He had not wanted to dampen her mood even slightly, so when the lump of worry had settled in his stomach, he had worked hard to keep the emotion from his expression. He silently worked through the worries in his mind as they walked, the biggest of which was that this would somehow cause problems with the children; he was mostly able to reason that one away by assuring himself that Alessia wouldn't invite trouble into the pups' life. Another fear he had, one that he was surprised had surfaced, was that he might lose his mate. He had become comfortable with Alessia's presence in his life and now he feared something could possibly threatened their bond. If he lost her, he would have no one left, but he tried not to let that thought settle too long in his already anxious mind. He wasn't really able to reason that worry away, though, other than to hope that maybe things wouldn't be difficult and they could all just get along. The last thing he ever wanted to do was cause more trouble for Alessia. She turned and smiled at him, and he returned the gesture, silently following her to the borders as he tried keep himself from dwelling too much on his fears.

RE: gunning out of this place in a bullet's embrace - Rosalie - March 08, 2019

It took a lot of convincing on Alessia’s part for Rosalie to let the dark woman leave. The panic of letting her walk away had yet to subside, and she paced — back and forth — back and forth — trying to calm the abundant abandonment issues that had cropped up since her near death experience. Knocking on deaths door always has consequences, even if it’s just a prank.

Spinning at the sound of someone returning, Rosalie sighed in relief as her petite friend returned. Although not alone.

Nothing could prepare her for the man that had stolen her girl from her. Albeit neither had known her to be among the land of the living, it still stung. Stealing her emotions, a steady glare landed on her face. Lie held no trust for the large brute, especially considering the accident that now forced the coming meeting.
