They lack the confidence - Kiwi RIP - March 22, 2019
She found it that night.
It had his scent on it, and as she sniffed the duck, her head shot up to look around. Had @Artaax come back to say he was sorry? Or to finish it? Either way, she didn't care. She didn't need his apology and she had nothing left to prove.
But there was no one there. Slowly, she turned the duck over, and her eyes narrowed.
Poised, she teetered. Then, with a resolve, she picked up a paw and scooped the carcass up, flinging it out into the woods to disappear in the darkness. The girl who had needed to learn of ducks was gone, as was the brother who had taught her.
Maybe she'd learn from the lions instead.
