The Quickening - Erika - July 15, 2014 I can't say this takes place before the attack since Erika's fate is rather ambiguous. So this is probably the day before.
She had been rather depressed ever since her mate had left. Even more so after Ypres had taken control. So many of her packmates had fled to Stavanger Bay or left all together. Her pack was falling apart. Her life was falling apart. The black female laid in the den Majesty had claimed for the both of them. She rarely did much now. She took walks, got food, occasionally talked to her packmates, but not much else. She was too depressed. But then, she felt something at her side. Something was kicking her. She rolled, wondering if it was a crab she sat on, trying to escape, but found nothing. The marred female tilted her head in curiosity, but gasped when the slight pain came again. Her babies. They were moving. RE: The Quickening - Hailstorm - July 18, 2014 Hailstorm was perched high up in a pine tree looking down at the wolf dens. He had watched Erika go into the den a long while ago. He assumed that she was fast asleep, now it was time to party! The eagle swooped onto a lower branch tilting his skull looking at the mouth of the den. Quuuuuuuaaaaaa He screamed loudly. Shakakaw.. He yelled out annoyingly just to piss her off. He started tittering with laughter and muttered to himself.. RE: The Quickening - Erika - July 19, 2014 The Frenchwoman grunted lowly at her babies kicking. "Oui, je sais que vous êtes là. Il n'y a pas besoin d'être aussi énergique." she grumbled. A part of her was screaming in delight. Her pups were alive! They were well and vigorous. But she thought sadly of how she would have run to Majesty the moment they kicked. She was going to say a little prayer to her mate, who she believed now was in the afterlife watching over her, when she heard an eagle's cry. Erika growled, spotting a feathered creature perched on a tree nearby. "Go away you bâtard à plumes!" she hoisted herself up, plodding towards the entrance of the den. RE: The Quickening - Hailstorm - July 20, 2014 Hailstorm satisfied himself with the annoyance of his squawking. Erika pulled herself towards the door of the den, and Hailstorm could see her clear as day. He laughed at her not saying anything. Shakakaw!!!! He laughed again Ka ka ka ka kaw Shakakaw!!! Ka ka ka ka Ba kaw!!!!! He sneered down at her continuing his song and started dancing in front of her. Opening his wings ha spanned out his 7 foot length and screeched at her baring his talons threatening her. He had a desire to swoop and claw out her eyes but stayed in the branch just to toy and annoy her. RE: The Quickening - Erika - July 20, 2014 The bald eagle danced upon the branch of the tree, laughing in the high-pitched squawks of an eagle. She bristled softly as he extended his wings and cawed at her. "Votre mère était un hamster et votre père sentait des baies de sureau!"* She growled one of the common curses of Quebec, trotting over to the tree and shaking it with all her might, trying to get the bird down. *A reference to this
