let's take a chance baby; we can't lose - Ali - March 27, 2019 maybe @Tegan if he's still around? c:
okay this was a lot more like it. travelling was like, fun enough but only if the places you came across were worthwhile. this open space was definitely something she could get used to. she was standing at the beginning of some fields- rolling off into the distance and letting her little heart jump with joy at the mere sight of it. it was pretty cute too, flowers budding here and there although she'd reckon there'd be a lot more if it wasn't still so fucking cold like call her a genius but isn't spring supposed to be warmer than winter? clearly someone had messed up there because this frostiness was not what she'd been looking forward to after the damn freezing winter she'd just endured. nevertheless such complaintive thoughts could wait as creamy paws were quite literally buzzing at the prospect of taking off across the favourable terrain and so she gave them exactly what they wanted- launching her slender fame out into the open and sprinting flat out. she was nothing more than a golden blur as she let a "fuck yesss!" spring from her jaws as a yell, not caring if it drew her attention /in fact she half kinda hoped it would like she was kinda lonely as much as she'd hate to admit it/. her heart raced in her chest, adrenaline leaving her giddy as she pushed forward- basically flying if you asked her. RE: let's take a chance baby; we can't lose - Ulysses - April 13, 2019 The past couple of hours Ulysses has been walking through the dim Everwinter Forest. The leaves and twigs crunch beneath his massive weight as he weaves around the thick tree trunks. The canopy above him thick enough to hardly let any sunshine through, but just a ways up ahead he's able to see a clear field. At this distance he sees glowing rays of sun shining over the small, of even there at all, rolling hills of the plain. After a while longer, he finally makes it to the edge of the thick, wooded treeline. His silvery white eyes take in the scenery around him the sky is mostly devoid of any clouds, making it a beautifully sunny day. Eyes flick around, eyeing the colors of flowers littered around the area, they seem to be thriving in the slightly warmer weather. Ulysses languidly struts away from the safety and coverage of the tree line, keeping eyes on the horizon just in case. His larger than average ears swivel at the noise of hearing a voice. He stops dead in his tracks, there's someone nearby. It seems like he freezes, body on another level of alert. Urging his stiff muscles to move, the wolf-dog gives the air a sniff, he vaguely gets the scent of another through the light breeze that blows the leaves and blades of grass. He scouts, he can't help himself from being so on edge for every little thing. Then at last, he spins around and his eyes land on something, or more likely a someone. Ulysses' ears perk up, they stand towards this anonymous wolf he's never met before. Then they press to his skull, he can't get complace now. This someone is another wolf. They're romping around in the grassy field of flowers without a care in the world. By the looks of it, they're a smaller wolf, he could easily dwarf them. Their coat is a honey yellow just as the sun and they have a gleeful smile spread across their muzzle that really did resemble some of the purest joy he's seen in a while. He's almost jealous, he hasn't felt such a feeling for as long as he can remember. This stranger wolf is bouncing around, a real pep in their step, and all Ulysses can do is stand there dumbly and watch. He finds it slightly humorous. The scenery is nice and the fact that someone else is enjoying it just as much as he is, is amazing. As this stranger bounces along the field, pollen flies all around them, they're kicking up grass and flowers alike. Again, Ulysses can only find himself staring. RE: let's take a chance baby; we can't lose - Ali - April 17, 2019 stamina starts to fail her and her pants grow more time consuming, muscles burning as she pushes on nevertheless. the glee in her face twisted into some intense kind of determination as if she were running from something and could never, ever let herself stop. but oh even the fittest body could not go on forever and she wasn't even in her best state. finally the girl would skid to an ungraceful halt, head bowed as her pink tongue lolled from her jaws and her sides heaved with each painful breath she sucked in. that had been fucking intense. eventually having regained most of her breath she would lift her head once more, grinning- gaze shining with a feverish type of bright.
then she'd blink in surprise, another form stood at the edge of the meadow. staring at her. not that she could blame him or anything she could bet anything that display had been impressive. tilting her head to the side the golden girl would step closer towards him. his scent..she was no professional but something about it smelled strange, different even. her nose would wrinkle slightly, and boy was he big. he kinda looked...all she could come up was different once more. nevertheless rather than feeling nervous or even intimidated by him the girl simply observes him with an open curiosity. "well hello you" she'd tilt her head in a quick, bird like movement. "enjoy the show?" with that a mischevious grin would curl along her slender muzzle. RE: let's take a chance baby; we can't lose - Ulysses - April 17, 2019 Ulysses passes up a few more moments of his time as he watches the wolf prance about like a deer. She's running so fast, speeds the wolfdog is sure he'd never be able to reach. Sure his legs are sizable and stocked with muscle, but durability and brawn is more his strong suit. The she-wolf is quick and agile, long limbs almost lanky but such a thing only gives her that extra boost. He watches as her tongue flops out the side of her mouth over pointed teeth, she's finally getting fatigued. If Ulysses is honest, he never thought the moment would come. As she's tiring out, her sparkling green eyes land on him. The larger male knows she's assessing him, but he sees no malice to her inspection. Though when she paces over to him, she's doesn't seem the least bit nervous, not even timid; much like a few other who've crossed his path. Rather than a tell tale shyness, she walks with confidence and holds a certain curiosity in those emerald hues. Then across her fox like muzzle lies a sly smile. Ulysses brows rise, his moonlike eyes gazing intently at her and he puts on a smirk of his own. By all means, he's not the most friendly, but today's a beautiful day and it's nice to see another soul enjoying it. So he imitates her, cocking his head slightly, his large ears wobbling as they're pointed towards her. "You are fast, I will say that." His accent is thick and his voice is deep and rumbling yet also smooth. Ulysses lowers his head closer to her. "What makes you want to prance around in a field of flowers this day?" He asks almost teasingly but in no way menacing. RE: let's take a chance baby; we can't lose - Ali - April 19, 2019 amusement would grace elegant features as his own expression lifts into a smirk and he tilts his head back at her. at this her wry grin would appear almost devilish as teal eyes glint whilst still feeling intrigued by his unique form. perhaps he would prove to be interesting company. she liked someone who appeared to have their own hint of wit. at the compliment he'd bestow upon her not the slightest hint of modesty would be shown as her head would bob up and down in a nod. "i've yet to meet anyone who could put me to shame" she'd add proudly, rocking back and forth on small paws.
she'd flick her ears as he'd lower his head to her level- not that she'd felt in any way put off by his larger stature beforehand. for someone who despised her regal bloodlines so much she still held herself with a haughtiness despite being completely unaware of it. it's not like she knew any better but should one ever attempt telling her she had anything in common with her parents she'd have their head. "there's nothing more exhilarating" she'd muse, seeming much too thoughtful for such a light hearted question. "i move around a lot so i like to make the most of every open space i can get, meadows are my favourite" at that her brow would furrow thoughtfully before she'd correct herself "fuck actually scrap that, the sea is the best. ohh well a meadow beside the sea now that would be the fucking best" she had to admit, she felt almost homesick for the large body of water but the thought of bumping into the drageda wolves made her uncomfortable. to be honest she was surprised she cared, she had no regrets for leaving her parents but leaving the sea wolves- more specifically mallaidh- left guilt churning unhappily in the pit of her stomach. RE: let's take a chance baby; we can't lose - Ulysses - April 19, 2019 The honey colored wolf's smile grows devilish in its own type of way. Her blatent display of confidence causes Ulysses canines to show in his own smirk. Her head bobs as she tells about being undefeated with the skill of speed she's been bestowed with. The wolfdog chuckles, "Seems you still haven't but met anyone that can put you to shame. I have no chance at beating you at your own game." He shrugs, "Everyone has their strong suit." He comments, taking in her soft features and those mysterious green eyes. He stands tall, eyes fixated on her as she goes on about her travels. He can relate to her on that part, anywhere he goes he always tries to take in the beauty of nature. The bright sunny days where the sun paints everything a healthy yellow and heats his fur still never fails to amaze him. Even the starry nights where the the bright moon stains everything cool blue, shadows dance and vision is scarce; those nights are always some of the most relaxing. Then she suprises him with her crude language and he cringes comically, not in any way serious. "My, should a quaint lady such as yourself be using words like that?" He teases, watching her excited expression change in all types of ways; she's a vibrant creature he notes. Though she can't hide the longing he sees in her expressions. Thinking of a place you can call home gets him like that as well. It's something he tries not to think about, it just gets him feeling some type of way. A type of way he doesn't like others to experience. When he thinks about the prescious little girl he was destined to protect he feels such a whirlwind of emotions swell in his breast. A twinge of anger passes through him like a bolt of electricity so he shakes his head, suprised he let himself get like that just now. He decides to leave the past behind him and take his mind off the subject he's found himself thinking about. "So does that mean you like swimming?" He questions curiously. He's aware that there's a certain large body of water just Northwest of their current location. |
