there's so much you have to know - Sionnach - April 20, 2019 @Deshyr - remember, fat golden PUPPIES
it had been raining, a lot. the kind of rain that starts in the morning, and doesn't even let up until the next day: like a foul mood or waking up on the wrong side of the bed, or that friend that self-invited themselves into your dorm-room and has now overstayed their welcome (and ate all your hot-pockets, WTF) this rain hung around. sionnach was unaccustomed to the patter of rain (and also, well, hearing), so for a while she had sat in the back of the den watching and listening to the dollop-dollop-plop of mother nature sobbing her brains out, her head going back and forth with her ears absurdly flopping from side to side. even puppies (as vacuous as lab puppies) got sick of a repetitive orchestra; after a while the ceaseless murmur of water falling lost its intrigue, and sionnach wormed her way closer to the den's exit, where there was an usual breeze (it's called wet, honey) and a smell she hadn't sniffed before. her mother was out stretching her legs, and sionnach knew approaching the exit was strictly verboten when the fun-police wasn't around... but, liffey wasn't here, so.... RE: there's so much you have to know - Deshyr - April 20, 2019 THAT GIF
Unlike Sionnach, who was confined to the indoors due to her tiny puppy status and inability to regulate her temperature properly like a normal wolf, Deshyr was free to roam whilst the heavens weeped upon the Hollow. She didn't mind the rain one bit, though it had gotten quite old by the afternoon and there were no signs of it letting up anytime soon. She was soaked to the bone and muddied up to her elbows by the time the eldest Frostfur daughter grew sick enough of bounding through the water-logged grounds and decided to see what Liffey & Co. were up to. Oh nevermind, it was just Co. this time. As Deshyr came up to the den she spied the flash of cream that was Sionnach near to the den's entrance. Did they know they weren't allowed out yet? Could their puppy brains even decipher between right and wrong? Oh well, Deshyr would fill in the fun police role while their mother was out. But she'd be like, the cool fun police. The good cop to Liffey's bad cop. She fell onto her stomach just before the den's mouth with a squelch sound, shaking out her head a little so she wasn't quite so sodden. "Dreary ol' day, isn't it?" she chirped, hoping to coax her sister closer. RE: there's so much you have to know - Sionnach - April 20, 2019 would sionnach ever be able to disseminate between right and wrong, pup=brain status aside? to be discovered, in future episodes... sionnach, being puppy-brained, was really more of a "focus on one thing at a time" type of gal. right now the rain outside held all of her attention, up until a form draped across the den and promptly blocked our valiant pup from her daring escape. giving deshyr the exact look she deserved (which was, very suspicious and "i thought you were one of us" kind of look), sionnach tumbled back, focusing rather drunkenly on her sodden sister with narrowing blue eyes. i see your game, mom-pawn -- and i raise you one very indignant sionnach. so indignant, in fact, that sionnach suddenly upchucked: all the regurgitated food that rannoch had recently dotingly threw up into her mouth came up in a virulent, steamy pile. she was still transitioning, and the food was too rich and heavy for her belly... so, enjoy mom#2. RE: there's so much you have to know - Deshyr - April 20, 2019 Well now, she had never seen a puppy look so dubious. She hadn't been sure they were even capable of creating such a look. But here Sionnach was, giving her the biggest stink eye she had ever received. Deshyr stared back, eyes narrowing in jest as her sister stepped back into the safety of the den. Which was what she wanted, she guessed, she was playing the whole Lawful Good Big Sister act here while Liffey was away, she had to make sure that her baby sibs weren't getting into trouble and endanger— "Woooow." It was going to be like that, huh? Deshyr stared in both disgust and surprised disbelief at the steaming pile of yuck Sionnach had just gifted her. "Really?" she uttered, looking up from the absolutely gross deposit to her sister's masked face. She wasn't even sure how to respond to that; was it an actual, serious bad thing that she should go fetch mum for? Or was Sion truly that offended she had blocked her view of the rain and was capable of vomiting on command like that. RE: there's so much you have to know - Sionnach - April 20, 2019 really? yes. sionnach looked up from the present she had made, bits of meat and stringy drool flecking her lips. next came a hic, and a second gag - for a second it looked like she was about to throw up the second course too, but the well was dry. blinking, the girl licked her lips and giggled, looking up at deshyr in the most unashamed manner. hic. the pile at her feet, steaming and offensive for anyone with an ounce of sense, was a new mound to be explored for the girl. she tilted her head this way and that as she looked at the meat pyramid, her nose crinkling as the sensation of bile hit her. raising a paw dubiously, sionnach puppy-slapped the meat-pile. it gurgled and splattered, and the noise was so delightful for the little babe that she did it a second time, rearing up on her stubby hind legs like a mini-fox about to plow through snow; only, sionnach was about to plow through her own mess and really stink up the place. RE: there's so much you have to know - Deshyr - April 28, 2019 They both stared each other for a few silent beats, Deshyr's expression a mix of concern and disgust to Sionnach's unabashed glee. Even her giggle after a second gag (which Deshyr started forward at with a frantic, "nO!") did nothing to soften her big sister's contorted features. Though, it seemed the worst had passed, as nothing else had come up for her to add to the pile before them. But Sionnach looked at it with a growing interest that caused Deshyr's frown to deepen. She opened her mouth to speak, to ask her sister what exactly she was planning on doing, before suddenly she slapped the regurgitated meal with such force it sent chunks flying every which way. Deshyr let out a girlish squeal as some landed on her paws, and she began wiggling backwards, right into the mud pit that had formed outside the den. To be honest, though, she'd much rather be covered in mud than her baby sibling's vomit. "SINNY, THAT'S GROSS!" Deshyr half-yelled, half-scolded once she was a far enough distance away from her rioting sib to avoid being splattered. RE: there's so much you have to know - Sionnach - April 28, 2019 unfortunately for deshy, babies and puppies had an affinity for things deemed 'gross'. the pleasing way the meal splattered was half the reason sionnach was so interested in it -- especially since when she rolled in it, it was warm and gave off amusing squueelch-elches. giggling like a nun that had taken her first bong rip, sionnach ignored the dismay and disgust of her sister. she rolled on her back and smeared meaty residue all over her fur in the process, until she resembled a very unsavory pepto-bismal-streaked milkshake. her game came to a sudden end when she saw where her sister was standing -- the forbidden mudpile. her eyes grew wide as saucers as she raked her gaze from deshyr's muddied toe to her frowning features -- forget the meat pile, the mudpile was what sionnach had to have. so have it she did; with a loud babble sionnach launched her pudgy ass cannon-ball style into the mud, now resembling a pig rather than puppy as she sloshed around in the darkened water, her fur streaked with red and brown. RE: there's so much you have to know - Deshyr - May 20, 2019 Just as quickly had Sionnach begun amusing herself with the regurgitated meat pile did she lose interest in it, instead focusing on the puddle outside that Deshyr had back-pedalled into. With only a quick scan of her muddied form serving as the older Frostfur's only warning, the puppy then suddenly dove for the mud pile. "NO, NO, NO, NO, N—!" she started breathlessly, but it was too little too late. What was once her snow white baby sibling was now a streaked and matted little ball of mud and sick. She would have nearly blended right into the sodden earth were it not for her manic splashing around. Deshyr backed up a step, wincing in hesitant acceptance that this was the next generation of Frostfurs. What had gone so horribly wrong? "Si..." she faltered, looking from the mud-soaked child to the den. "Si, mum's gonna be so mad." RE: there's so much you have to know - Sionnach - May 25, 2019 as fun as the throw-up had been, wallowing in mud was truly where sionnach was at her best. as a puppy, she had no idea of social compuction, and knew only what felt good in that moment. splashing in muddy water? totally fell in the "feels good" pile. she looked up at deshyr for her approval and saw only a wince. no matter -- sionnach was too young to take facial expressions personally, and besides, she had learned that her sister was just another adult who hated fun. she vowed she would never grow up, because when you grew up, you became a stick in the mud instead of a puppy in the mud, and sionnach would never allow that to happen to herself. nope, she was going to be playful and fun always, and boring fun-hating chads like deshyr could grimace all they wanted, while she sucked up all the fun. take that, adulthood. RE: there's so much you have to know - Deshyr - June 05, 2019 There was a short but not-so-sweet momentary stare off between the sisters, Deshyr staring down in utter disgust while Sionnach stared up in pure, unadulterated glee. Great. Now she had a very muddy and very stirred up little cub that she had to somehow persuade to go back into the den. She toyed with the idea of simply grabbing her and dunking her in the nearest stream to clean off the evidence, but something told her that freezing cold water + month old puppies would ≠ a good time. Knowing her luck so far, Sionnach would probably slip from her grasp and that would be the end of her little sister's short-lived reign of terror. No, instead Deshyr did what any other teenager would do — let someone else take care of it. "MUUU-UUUMMMMMMM!" she howled, throwing back her head in a summons for @Liffey. She would let mother dearest handle this. RE: there's so much you have to know - Sionnach - June 19, 2019 well, that was fucking rude. you try to have fun with your older, not-fun siblings, and they immediately turn you over to the police. sionnach was busy sploshing around having the time of her life while deshyr tattled (ahem, just reminding u snitches end up in ditches for future reference), and she did not even notice the looming shadow until it spilled ominously over her mudpit. looking up, sionnach saw the disgusted and displeased face of her mother. DOOM IMPENDING.... her ears fell flat as she was snatched from the mud, yoinked like a babe from its mothers' breast. "nooooooooooo," the girl wailed, to little avail. she was carried swiftly to a cold puddle, roughly shaken in the water to loosen the grime that clung to her pelt, dried off, and then sent handily to bed. all of this within a matter of minutes, given liffey's affinity for smoothly handling errant toddlers. |
